قُلۡ لَّوۡ اَنَّ عِنۡدِىۡ مَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَ بِهٖ لَقُضِىَ الۡاَمۡرُ بَيۡنِىۡ وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِالظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‏

 

Qool-lao-un-na-in-dee-maa-tus-tau-jay-loo-na-bay-he                                                                La-qo-dzay-yul-um-ro-bai-nee-wa-bai-na-koom                                                                    Waul-laa-ho-au-la-mo-biz-zaa-lay-mee-n

 

Say, “If I really had with me what you want to expedite,                                              The Order surely would have been established between me and you.                    And by God Allah is Well Aware about the wrongdoers.”

 

  • قُلۡ — Qool — Say (= v., s, 2nd person. Announce; command; convey; explain; inform; insist; instruct; maintain; mandate; order; state; preach; proclaim; profess; teach; tell. See Commentary ““You say’ means ….’ ‘ A/t/a, ‘Say to them’)
  • لَوۡ — Lao — If (= In case; under the circumstances; wish; would)
  • اَنَّ — Un-na — Really (= Certainly; definitely; indeed; positively; surely, verily)
  • عِنۡدِ– In-day — From (= At; close at hand; from; in; in close proximity of; with. In the counting, esteem; estimate, eyes, front or near. Within the presence, precincts, seeing or sight of. A/t/a, ‘in … power,’ ‘were with,’ ‘were in my power,’ ‘the power over,’ ‘I had’ and ‘had I the power’)
  • ىَ — Ee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — What (= All that; whatever; whatsoever. A/t/a, ‘what’ and ‘which’)
  • تَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَ — Tus-tau-jay-loo-na — You want to expediate (= v., pre., 2nd person. Desire, seek, want or wish something to happen in hurry, occur quickly or be hastened. A/t/a, ‘ye would see Hastened,’ ‘you would hasten,’ ‘you desire to be hastened,’ ‘you seek to hasten before its (appointed) time,’ ‘ye are impatient,’ ‘that you are asking for impatiently,’ ‘that what you  challenge’ and ‘you are demanding’)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with
  • هٖ — He — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid order or matter. A/t/a, ‘that which … (the torment)’
  • لَ — La — Surely (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; certainly; clearly, definitely doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically)
  • قُضِىَ — Qo-dzay-ya … (ul) — Decided (= v., past., pass., s., 3rd person. Adjudged; completed; decreed; ended; finished; judged; passed; resolved. A/t/a, ‘would be settled At once,’ ‘would have … been decided,’ ‘would … have been decided,’ ‘would have been decided,’ ‘would be decided,’ ‘would be quickly decided,’ ‘would have been settled long before this,’ ‘would have been settled at once’ and ‘would be ended. Translations of this word like executed or implemented are inaccurate for they convey about the act that comes after a decision has been made)
  • الۡاَمۡرُ — Um-ro — The Order (= n., s., 1. Authority; command; control; decision; decree; direction; instruction; judgment; responsibility; rule. 2. Affair; issue; matter; situation. See Note 002:211. A/t/a, ‘the matter,’ ‘the matter in controversy,’ ‘the case,’ ‘the dispute’ and ’our dispute’)
  • بَيۡن — Bai-n(ee) — Between (= Ahead, facing or in front of; Among; betwixt)
  • ىۡ — Ee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • بَيۡنَ — Bai-na — Between (= Ahead, facing or in front of; Among; betwixt)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all men. The Holy Qor-aan addresses men and women jointly this way generally)
  • وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (= The وَ  vaao when used with the Almighty God’s name is tantamount to taking oath with His name; solemn declaration or calling as a witness. Normally a Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally, etc.)
  • اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • اَعۡلَمُ — Au-la-mo — Well-aware (= adj., To the nth degree … Aware, experienced, familiar, informed or knowing. Also, when the text indicates, as a v., pres., s., 1st person this word means I know more and best. A/t/a, ‘best knows,’ ‘knoweth best’ and ‘knows best’ )
  • بِ — Bay … (iz) — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with)
  • الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ — Zaa-lay-mee-n — The wrongdoers (= n., pl., Bad people. Criminals. Culprits. Doers of harm, hurt or injury. Evil doers. Polytheists. Transgressors. Those who commit, do, practice, repeat or habitually pursue the evil and cause grievous wrongs to others. Unfair. Unjust. Violators. Wicked. A/t/a, ‘wrongdoers,’ ‘Those who do wrong,’ ‘the unjust,’ ‘the unjust (and He also knows when to punish them),’ ‘the transgressors,’ ‘the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers)’ and ‘the evil-doers’)
