The Holy Qor-aan 006:078
فَلَمَّا رَاَالۡقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّىۡ ۚ فَلَمَّاۤ اَفَلَ قَالَ لَٮِٕنۡ لَّمۡ يَهۡدِنِىۡ رَبِّىۡ لَاَ كُوۡنَنَّ مِنَ الۡقَوۡمِ الضَّآ لِّيۡنَ
Fa-lum-maa-ra-ul-qa-ma-ra-baa-zay-ghun Qaa-la-haa-zaa-rub-be-fa-lum-maa-aa-fa-la Qaa-la-la-in-yah-day-nee-rub-bee La-aa-koo-nun-na-may-nul-qao-midz-dzaal-leen
Then when he saw the moon glowing brilliantly He said, ‘Here is my God.” But when it disappeared Ha said, “Surely if my God guides me not I certainly will be among the people gone astray.”

- رَاٰ — Ra-a … (ul) — Saw (= Deemed; imagined; looked; perceived; saw; thought; took. A/t/a, ‘beheld’)
- الۡقَمَرَ — Ul-qa-ma-ra — Moon (= n., Big shining star closet to the earth. For moon the Arabic grammar uses verbs in the masculine gender)
- بَازِغًا — Baa-zay-ghun — Glowing (= adj., Shining, but glowing in re a full moon that reflects sun’s light. A/t/a, ‘Rising in splendour,’ ‘rising,’ ‘rise with spreading light,’ ‘rising up,’ ‘uprising,’ ‘rise with spreading light’ and ‘shining full’)
- قَا لَ — Qaa-laa — He said (= v., past, s., m, 3rd person. He said, stated or told himself. A/t/a, ‘exclaimed’ and ‘he said (to the people)’
- هَـٰذَا — Haa-zaa — Here (= Here; this; the article, thing or person present before the talker. A/t/a, ‘This is’ and ‘That is.’ But ‘Is this,’ ‘Is this … (as you assert)’ and ‘Can this be’ are questions and not a translation of what the Holy Qor-aan stated as a plane statement)
- رَبِّ — Rub-b … (ee) — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. A/t/a, ‘Lord (as you assert)’

- لَ — La — Surely (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily)
- اِنۡ — In — If (= In case; under the circumstances; when; when situation arises)
- لَمۡ — Lum — Not (= Absolutely never; no, not at all. This word along with the prior two words were translated as ‘Unless,’ ‘not’ and ‘does not’)
- يَهۡدِ — Yah-day — Guides (= v., pres., m., s., 3rd person. Directs to the best way; guides to the right road; leads on level linier lines; puts on proper path; shows sure success; voids evil which obstructs reaching noble aims, goals and objects. A/t/a, ‘guide’ and ‘guides.’ But ‘had … guided me’ in the past tense is no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the present tense)
- نِىۡ — Nee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person)

- الضَّآلِّيۡنَ — Dzaal-leen — Gone astray (= n., pl., Astray; erring; in error; misguided. Those who had gone astray, lost the way, or took the wrong path, road or turn or went off the track. A/t/a, ‘who go astray,’ ‘the erring,’ ‘who are astray,’ ‘who have gone astray,’ ‘who went astray’ and ‘go astray’)
** Note 006:078. The Arabic words اَهِلَّةِ (Aa-hil-lah in verse 002:190) describes a new or thin moon and قَمَرَ (Qa-ma-ra in verse 006:078 and 041:038) describes a full, complete or circular moon. Their relatively equivalent English words are crescent (curved, hemispherical or semi-circular) and moon (circular or full).
