اِنَّ اللّٰهَ فَالِقُ الۡحَبِّ وَالنَّوٰى ‌ؕ  يُخۡرِجُ الۡحَىَّ مِنَ الۡمَيِّتِ وَمُخۡرِجُ الۡمَيِّتِ مِنَ الۡحَىِّ    ذٰ لِكُمُ اللّٰهُ‌ فَاَنّٰى تُؤۡفَكُوۡنَ ‏‌ؕ

 

In-nul-laa-ha-faa-lay-qool-hub-bay-wun-na-waa                                                                  Yookh-ray-jool-huy-ya-may-nul-muy-yay-tay                                                                            Wa-mookh-ray-jool-muy-yay-tay-may-nul-huy-yay                                                                    Zaa-lay-ko-mool-laa-ho-fa-un-naa-toe-fa-koo-n

 

Surely Allah is the splitter of the grain and the date-stone.                                        He brings out the living from the dead                                                                                And is the One Who brings out the dead from the living.                                            This is your Allah. Then how can you fabricate anything?

 

  • اِنَّ — In-na … (ul) — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘Lo’)
  • ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God. A/t/a, ‘Allah (it is),’ ‘It is’ and ‘it is’)
  • فَالِقُ — Faa-lay-qo … (ol) — Splitter (= n., One who breaks open or severs. Cutter. Grower. Hewer. Ripper. Separator. Slasher. Slicer. Splitter. Tearer. A/t/a, ‘causes … to germinate,’ ‘causeth … To split and sprout,’ ‘causes … to split and  sprout,’ ‘who causes … to sprout,‘ ‘Who causes …. To sprout,’ ‘who splitteth,’ ‘who splits’ and ‘splits’)
  • الۡحَبِّ — Hub-bay — The grain (= n., s., The seed from which sprouts the plant for crops  like barley, corn or kernel, lentils, rice, wheat, etc. A/t/a, ‘the grain,’ ‘the grain of corn … (for sprouting),’ ‘seed grain,’ ‘the (seed) grains’ and ‘the seed’)
  • وَ — Wa … (un) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • النَّوٰى — Na-waa — Stone (= n., The stone inside fruits. A/t/a, ‘date-stone (for sprouting),’  ‘date-stone,’ ‘date-stones,’ ‘fruit (stones),’ ‘fruit-stone’ and ‘fruit stone (like date-stone)’
  • يُخۡرِجُ — Yookh-ray-jo — He brings out (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Extracts; gets out; grows; produces. A/t/a, ‘causeth … To issue,’ ‘brings forth’ and ‘He bringeth forth’)
  • الۡحَىَّ — Huy-ya — The living (= n., Alive; full of life. A/t/a, ‘living’)
  • مِنَ — May-n … (ul) — From (= Out of a class or category of several things)
  • ٱلۡمَيِّتِ — Muy-ya-tay — The dead (= n., Deceased; decedent; lifeless; with no life)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
  • مُخۡرِجُ — Mookh-ra-jo — One Who brings out (= n., Extractor; One who brings or gets out; grower. A/t/a, ‘it is He Who,’ ‘To cause … To issue’ and ‘bringer forth.’ Authors Amat-ul-Rahman Omar,  Dr Ahmad Zidan, Dr Muhsin Khan and Dr Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali failed to see that  يُخۡرِجُ  and  مُخۡرِجُ  are two different words when they translated both of them the same as ‘He brings forth.’ And author N J Dawood did not even translate this word)
  • ٱلۡمَيِّتِ — Muy-ya-tay — The dead (= n., Deceased; decedent; lifeless. See  ٱلۡمَيِّتِ  above)
  • مِنَ — May-n … (ul) — From (= Out of a class or category of several things)
  • الۡحَىَّ — Huy-ya — The Living (= n., Alive; full of life. See  الۡحَىَّ  above)
  • ذٰ لِكُمُ — Zaa-lay-ko-mo(l) — This is your (= This is a combination of three words. ذٰ means This.   لِ  means for the object, person, purpose or reason. And   كُمۡ   means you all. The combination means this is you or your. A/t/a, ‘This is your,’ ‘That is your’ and ‘such is your’)
  • اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; so; thereafter; therefore; thus. A/t/a, ‘then’ and ‘wherefore, then’)
  • اَنّٰى — Un-na — How (= A/t/a, ‘how,’ ‘how is it’ and ‘how can’)
  • تُؤۡفَكُوۡنَ‏ — Toe-fa-koo-n — You fabricate  (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. Cook up; concoct; create;  invent; manufacture. Also, go in any direction other the one clear way. A/t/a, ‘are ye deluded Away from the truth,’ ‘are you deluded away from the truth,’ ‘are you … turned away,’ ‘are you turned back,’ ‘are ye perverted,’ ‘you turn away from Him’ and ‘you lie’)
