The Holy Qor-aan 006:099
وَ هُوَ الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡشَاَكُمۡ مِّنۡ نَّفۡسٍ وَّاحِدَةٍ فَمُسۡتَقَرٌّ وَّمُسۡتَوۡدَعٌ ؕ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا الۡاٰيٰتِ لِقَوۡمٍ يَّفۡقَهُوۡنَ
Wa-ho-wul-la-zee-un-shaa-koom-min-nuf-sin-waa-hay-da-tin Fa-moos-ta-qur-roon-wa-moos-tao-da-oon Fa-qud-fus-sul-nul-aa-yaa-tay-lay-qao-min-yuf-qa-hoo-n
And He is the one who multiplied you from one person. Then there’s a place to stay awhile and a place to stay forever. We surely have explained the Signs for the understanding people.
The following are the first three words of verses 006:098, 006:099 and 006:100

- الَّذِىۡ — La-zee — He who (= s., m., 3rd person. Article, thing, person or phenomenon in masculine gender. A/t/a, ‘that’)
- اَنۡشَاۡ — Un-shaa — Multiplied (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Created. Grew. Increased. Raised. Set up. A/t/a, ‘hath Produced,’ ‘brought you into being,’ ‘has created,’ ‘has produced,’ ‘has evolved,’ ‘caused … to grow’ and ‘has given’)
- كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all men. The Holy Qor-aan addresses men and women jointly this way generally)
- مِّنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
- نَفۡسِ — Nuf-say … (in) — Person (= n., s., A living being. Also, an individual’s inner-most, heart, mind or soul. A/t/a, ‘being,’ ‘living entity’ and ‘person’ (Adam)’
- وَّاحِدَة — Waa-hay-da-tin — One (= adj., f., A distinct, only or specific being. Individual. A particular person. Single. Sole soul. Unique. A/t/a, ‘single’)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
- مُسۡتَقَرٌّ — Moos-ta-qur-roon — Place to rest (= n., Abode. Dwelling. Habitat or Habitation. Place to stay and live for a short while. Resort. Rest Stop. Sojourn. A/t/a, ‘Here is a place of sojourn,’ ‘resting-place,’ ‘a home,’ ‘there is for you a temporary resort,’ ‘has appointed for you a place of temporary resort,’ ‘(hath given you) habitation,’ ‘lodged … in a place of sojourn,’ ‘(He provided for you) a permanent abode (from the grave to the final abode of bliss),’ ‘furnished you with a dwelling’ and ‘a place of residing (on the earth or in your mother’s womb)’
- وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- مُسۡتَوۡدَعٌ — Moos-ta-da-oon — Place to stay (= n., Time to be called back. A/t/a, ‘Here is … a place for departure,’ ‘more permanent abode,’ ‘permanent abode,’ ‘repository,’ ‘lodging,’ ‘a temporary lodging (from the loins of the father to the grave),’ ‘firmly established in a place of sojourn,’ ‘furnished you with … resting-place,’ ‘a place of storage [in the earth (in your graves) or in your father’s loins’)
The construction of next six (6) words is repeated in 006:098 and 006:099
- قَدۡ — Qud — Surely (= This word lays emphasis like very definitely; surely. See Note 004:049 and our Commentary titled the 2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect. A/t/a, ‘verily’ and ‘indeed’)
- فَصَّلۡ — Fus-sul — Explained (= v., past., pl., 1st person. Discerned; distinguished good from bad; elaborated; sorted Out A/t/a, ‘explained … in detail,’ ‘We detail,’ ‘expounded … in detail,’ ‘have detailed,’ ‘have expounded’ and ‘have made plain’)
- نَآ — Naa … (ul) — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us. Used with God’s name this plural is the authoritative way a higher-up talks)
- الۡاٰيٰتِ — Aa-ya-tay — The Signs (= n., pl of … An argument, corroboration, indication, insinuation, pointer, portent, prof, sign, suggestion, symbol or token. See Note 002:074. A/t/a, ‘Our Signs’ and ‘Our revelations’)
- لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, purpose or reason of. See لَ above. A/t/a, ‘to’)
- قَوۡمٍ — Qao-min — People (= n., s., Addressees; attendees; fellows; followers; folks; nation; party; tribe. A/t/a, ‘a people’ and ‘men’)
- يَفۡقَهُوۡنَ — Yuf-qa-hoo-na — Understanding (= v. pres., m., pl., 3rd person. Comprehending; realizing. A/t/a, ‘who understand,’ ‘who have understanding’ and ‘who would understand’)
