The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                             006:111

 

وَنُقَلِّبُ اَفۡـــِٕدَتَهُمۡ وَاَبۡصَارَهُمۡ كَمَا لَمۡ يُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِهٖۤ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَّنَذَرُهُمۡ فِىۡ طُغۡيَانِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُوۡنَ

 

Wa-no-qul-lay-bo-uf-aiy-da-ta-hoom-wa-ub-saa-ra-hoom                                                        Ka-maa-lum-yoe-may-noo-bay-he-auw-wa-la-mur-ra-tin                                                        Wa-na-za-ro-hoom-fee-toogh-yaa-nay-him-yau-ma-hoo-n

 

And We turn their hearts and their eyes away from Truth                                           Like the first time when they did not believe it                                                                  And Our leaving them in their contumacy, wandering blindly.

 

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • نُقَلِّبُ — No-qaul-lay-bo — We turn away (= v., pres., pl., 1st person. Drive off; turn the heart off. A/t/a, ‘We confound,’ ‘we shall confound,’ ‘We (too) shall turn To (confusion),’ ‘We shall turn away (from guidance),’ ‘We turn,’ ‘We turn away’ and ‘We  will turn away’)
  • اَفۡـــِٕدَ تَ — Uf-aiy-da-ta — Hearts (= n., pl., Minds; souls; feelings in the hearts)
  • هُمۡ — Hoom — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • اَبۡصَارَ — Ub-saa-ra — Seeing (= n., pl., Eyes, the organ of sight and light sensitivity;  sight; vision. Ability to see, comprehend, understand and visualize. A/t/a, ‘eyes’ and ‘sights’)
  • هُمۡ — Hoom — Their (= pro., pl., m., See هُمۡ above. A/t/a ‘them alone’ [aro])
  • كَمَا — Ka-maa — Like when (= Combination of two words; the first  كَ  (ka) means like,  identical, resembling or similar; the second  مَاۤ  ( maa) means all that, what, whatever, whatsoever, when and whenever. Jointly the words mean like that, just the way. A/t/a, ‘as,’ ‘even as,’ ‘since’ and ‘because’)
  • لَمۡ — Lum — Did not (= Absolutely never; no, not at all)
  • يُؤۡمِنُوۡا — Yoe-may-noo — They believe (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Believe in the Holy Qor-aan; become Moslem; enter Iss-laam. See Commentary Believe and Disbelieve.  A/t/a ‘believe,’ ‘believed,’ ‘did … believe,’ ‘had  disbelieved,’ ‘refused to believe’ and ‘did … believe in (- God’s signs)’
  • بِ  — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ means with. A/t/a, ‘in’)
  • هٖ — He — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid Truth. A/t/a, ‘this’ and ‘therein’)
  • اَوَّلَ — Auw-wa-la — First (= n., The first time. A/t/a, ‘at first,’ ‘in the first,’ ‘for the first’ and ‘the first’)
  • مَرَّةٍ  — Mur-ra-tin — Time (= Instance; number of times)
  • وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • نَذَرۡ — Na-za-ro — Our leaving (= n. Abandon; discard. A/t/a, ‘We shall leave,’ ‘We …  shall leave,’ ‘We will leave,’ ‘We leave’ and ‘We let’)
  • هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., See هُمۡ above. A/t/a ‘them alone’)

The text in the following four (4) words is repeated in 002:016 and 006:111.

  • فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Amidst. Among. Contained or inside a duration, event, place, period, person, phenomenon, situation, thing or time. See Note 002:028)
  • طُغۡيَانِ — Toogh-yaa-nay — Contumacy (= n., Agitation; insurrection; inordinacy; insolence; revolution; stubbornness; rebellion; transgression; upheaval; uprising; violent ways; wrongdoing. A/t/a, ‘contumacy,’ ‘transgression,’ ‘inordinacy,’ ‘insolence,’  ‘trespasses’ and ‘trespass’)
  • هِمۡ — Him — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. They; their; theirs. Refers to the aforesaid foolish persons and their hypocrisies)
  • يَعۡمَهُوۡنَ — Yau-ma-hoo-n — Wandering blindly (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Blundering; going round and round without seeing or going anywhere; making no progress. A/t/a, ‘wander blindly,’ ‘blindly wandering,’ ‘to blunder’ and ‘to wander in distraction’)
