The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                             006:135

 

اِنَّ مَا تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ لَاٰتٍ‌  ۙ وَّمَاۤ اَنۡـتُمۡ بِمُعۡجِزِيۡنَ‏

 

In-na  maa  too-aa-do-na  la  aa-tin                                                                                                  Wa  maa  un-toom  bay  moe-jay-zee-n

 

Most certainly what you are promised will happen.                                                    And you surely can’t be with the avoiders.

 

  • اِنَّ — In-na — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘Lo!’)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — What (= All that; whatever; whatsoever; at such time; when. A/t/a, ‘All that,’that which’ and ‘that punishment’ )
  • تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ — Too-aa-do-na — You are promised (= v., pass., pl., 2nd person. Assured; guaranteed. A/t/a, ‘hath been promised unto you,’ ‘you  have been promised’ and ‘you are threatened’)
  • لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily. A/t/a, ‘will,’ ‘shall,’ ‘will surely,’ ‘must’ and ‘sure’)
  • اٰتٍ‌ — Aa-tin — Happen (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person Arrive; bring; come; happen; occur; produce; show up. A/t/a, ‘come to pass,’ ‘come’ and ‘to come’)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — Not (= Never; no; none at all; not. A/t/a, ‘nor,’ ‘cannot’ and ‘shall not’)
  • اَنۡـتُمۡ — Un-toom — Surely you (= pro., pl., 2nd person. This is a combination of  اَنۡ  (Un)    that means absolutely, clearly, really, surely, truly or verily and  تُمۡ  (toom) that is for the pronoun you. A/t/a, ‘you’ and ‘ye’)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with)
  • مُعۡجِزِيۡنَ — Moe-jay-zee-n — Avoiders (= n., pl., Avoiders. Escapers. Those who avoid, defeat, escape, frustrate; get or run away. A/t/a, ‘escape,’ ‘escape (from the punishment of Allah),’ ‘frustrate Allah’s design,’ ‘frustrate it,’ ‘frustrate it (In the last bit),’ ‘frustrate (His plans)‘ and ‘inhibit’ but all these verbs are no translations of the noun used in the Holy Qor-aan)
