قَالَ فَبِمَاۤ اَغۡوَيۡتَنِىۡ لَاَقۡعُدَنَّ لَهُمۡ صِرَاطَكَ الۡمُسۡتَقِيۡمَۙ‏

 

Qaa-la  fa  bay-maa  ugh-wai-ta  nee                                                                                                La  uq-o-daun-na  la  hoom  say-raa-ta  ka  ul-moos-ta-qe-m

 

He said, “Then because you failed me in test                                                                    I surely will sit in ambush for them on Your Right Road.”

  • قَالَ  — Qaa-la — He said (= v., past, s., m., 3rd person. Answered; countered; rejoindered; replied; responded; retorted. A/t/a, ‘He said,’ ‘Iblis said,’ ‘(Ibli) said,’ ‘Satan said’ and ‘said Satan’)
  • فَ — Fa — Then (= Consequently; so; thereafter; therefore; then; thus; yet. A/t/a, ‘Now’)
  • بِمَا — Bay-maa — Because (= Combination of two words. بِ  means ‘with / in’ and  مَاۤ  means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever.’ See 002:092. A/t/a,  ‘As’ and ‘Since’)
  • اَغۡوَيۡتَ — Ugh-vai-ta — You caused me to fail in the test (= v., past., s., 2nd person. You failed me in your testing me.. You led me to fail the test. Set up in a test, trap or trial. A/t/a, ‘thou hast thrown … out of the way,’ ‘Thou hast adjudged … as lost,’ ‘Thou hast brought … ruin,’ ‘Thou hast adjudged … to be erring,’ ‘You have adjudged … to be perverted and lost,’ ‘You have thrown … out of the way,’ ‘Thou hast sent astray,’ ‘you have sent me astray’ and ‘You led me into sin’)
  • نِىۡ — Nee — Me (= pro., s., m & f., 1st person)
  • لَ — La —  Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily. A/t/a,  ‘assuredly’ and ‘lo’)
  • اَقۡعُدَنَّ — Uq-o-dun-na — I sit in ambush (= v., pres., s., 1st person. Lay in ambush. A/t/a, ‘I will … lie in wait,’ ‘lurk in ambush,’ ‘I will waylay … as they walk on’)
  • لَ — La — For (= For the benefit or harm. A/t/a, ‘for’ and ‘against’)
  • هُمۡ‌ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs. A/t/a, ‘your servants,’ ‘them ( the children of Adam)’ and ‘them (human beings)’
  • صِرَاطَ — Say-raa-ta — Road (= n., Course; direction; lines; path; route; way. See  001:006. A/t/a, ‘path’ and ‘way’)
  • كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. Yours. A/t/a, ‘Your’ and ‘Thy’ )
  • الۡمُسۡتَقِيۡمَ — Moos-ta-qee-ma — Right (= adj., The shortest distance between two specific points (of GOD Almighty Who created and His creation man) is always the straight line, perfect path and right road by which man can reach his Creator.
