The Holy Qor-aan 006:127
وَهٰذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسۡتَقِيۡمًا ؕ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا الۡاٰيٰتِ لِقَوۡمٍ يَّذَّكَّرُوۡنَ
Wa-haa-zaa-say-raa-to-rub-bay-ka-moos-ta-qee-maa Qud-fus-sul-nul-aa-yaa-tay-lay-qao-min-yuz-zuk-ka-roo-n
And this is the right road to your Lord God. We surely have fully explained the signs for people who remember.
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- هٰذَا — Has-zaa — This (= This particularly pointed out; present right here; what is in front of you, A/t/a, ‘This is,’ ‘this … is’ and ‘such is’)
- صِرَاطُ — Say-raa-to — Road (= Course; direction; lines; path; route; way. A/t/a, ‘path (of Islam)’ and ‘path leading to.’ See Note 001:006)
- رَبِّ — Rub-bay — God / Lord (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all His creatures. Cherisher. Creator;. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. A/t/a, ‘Lord (the Qur’an and Islam)’
- كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message. See Note 002:005. A/t/a, ‘they’)
- مُسۡتَقِيۡمًا — Moos-ta-qee-mas — Right (= Appropriate; best; correct; proper; straight. A/t/a, ‘(a) straight,’ ‘leading straight to Him,’ ‘exact right path (leading) to’ and ‘leading straight’)
- قَدۡ — Qud — Surely (= This word lays emphasis like very definitely; surely. See Note 004:049 and our Commentary titled the ‘2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect. A/t/a, ‘Indeed’ )
- فَصَّلۡ — Fus-sul — Explained (= v., past., pl., 1st person. Discerned; distinguished good from bad; elaborated; sorted Out. A/t/a, ‘explained … in detail,’ ‘made … clear,’ ‘detailed’ and ‘have made plain’)
- نَآ — Naa … (ul) — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us. Used with God’s name this plural is the authoritative way a higher-up talks)
- الۡاٰيٰتِ — Aa-yaa-tay — The signs (= n., pl of … An argument, corroboration, indication, insinuation, pointer, portent, prof, sign, suggestion, symbol or token. See Note 002:074. A/t/a, ‘messages,’ ‘the Message (of truth),’ ‘revelations’ and ‘Our Revelations’
- لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; on account of; concerning; regarding; relative to)
- قَوۡمٍ — Qao-min — People (= n., s., Addressees; attendees; fellows; followers; folks; nation; party; people; tribe, A/t/a, ‘a people,’ ‘people,’ ‘those’ and ‘men’ )
- يَّذَّكَّرُوۡنَ — Yuz-zuk-ka-roo-n — Remember (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Pay heed. Ponder. Reflect. A/t/a, ‘who mind,’ ‘who take heed,’ ‘who would be admonished,’ ‘who would accept admonition,’ ‘who receive admonition’ and ‘thinking’)
