قَالَ اَنۡظِرۡنِىۡۤ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَ‏

Qaa-la  un-zoor-nee  aiy-laa  yao-min  yoob-aa-thoo-na

He (Satan) said, “You watch me till the day they are raised.”

  • قَالَ — Qaa-la … (un) — He said (= v., past, s., m., 3rd person. Answered; countered; rejoindered; replied; responded; retorted. A/t/a, ‘Iblis pleaded,’ ‘He (- Iblis, in impertinent defiance) said,’ ‘Satan said,’ ‘Satan replied’ and ‘(Iblis) said)
  • اَنۡظِرۡ — Un-zoor — You watch (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. Check out; find; get to view; look at; look out; observe; see; take notice; understand; view; watch for. A/t/a, ‘Grant … respite,’ ‘give … respite,’ ‘Reprieve’  and ‘Allow … respite.’ But ‘respite’ is a noun and no translation of the verb used in the Holy Qor-aan)
  • نِىۡ — Nee — Me (= pro., s., m & f., 1st person)
  • اِلَى — Aiy-laa — To (= In the direction of; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘till’ and ‘until’)
  • يَوۡمَ — Yao-ma — The day (= n., s., A juncture, moment, period, term or time which comes to an end)
  • يُبۡعَثُوۡنَۙ‏ — Yoob-aa-soo-na Raised (= v., pres., pass., pl., 3rd person. Appointed; brought back to life; given life again; reincarnated; reinstated; resurrected. A/t/a, ‘they raised,’ ’they will be raised,’ ‘they are raised up,’ ‘they are raised up (… Resurrection),’ ‘raised (from the dead),’ ‘they shall … be raised from the dead.’ But the noun as in Resurrection’  is no translation of the verb used in the Holy Qor-aan)
