The Holy Qor-aan 007:040
وَقَالَتۡ اُوۡلٰٮهُمۡ لِاُخۡرٰٮهُمۡ فَمَا كَانَ لَـكُمۡ عَلَيۡنَا مِنۡ فَضۡلٍ فَذُوۡقُوا الۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَكۡسِبُوۡنَ
Wa qaa-laut oo-laa hoom Lay ookh-ra hoom Fa maa kaa-na la koom aa-lai naa min fauz-lin Fa zoo-qo ol-aa-zaa-ba bay-maa koon-toom tauk-say-boo-n
And the group of them who came earlier said To the group of them who came later, “So none has been for you over us from any betterment. (**) So you suffer the punishment with what you used to earn.”

See 002:031 A/t/a, ‘will say’ with the future tense, and ‘saith’ with the present tense, are no translation of the text of the Holy Qor-aan in the past tense. See Note 003:118)
- اُوۡلٰ — Oo-laa — Who came earlier (= adj., First; seniors; those who come earlier or ahead. A/t/a, ‘The first,’ ‘the first … (- their leaders)’ and ‘the preceding one’)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
- لِ — Lay — For / To (= For the object, person, purpose or reason; intended for; concerning; regarding; relative to. A/t/a, ‘unto’)
- اُخۡرٰى — Ookh-ra — Who came later (= n., s., f/g. Another group, person, self or soul. Group not mentioned before. Juniors. Last. Later. Lower in lines. Others. Secondary batch. Who came behind, in the back or rear, or subsequently. A/t/a, ‘the last,’ ‘the last … (- the followers)’ and ‘the succeeding one’)

- الۡعَذَابَ — Aa-zaa-ba — Punishment (= n., Appropriate, due and fair agony, chastisement, doom, hard task, penalty, punishment, recompense; torment, torture or scourge)
- بِمَا — Bay-maa — With what (= Combination of two words. بِ means ‘with / in’ and مَاۤ means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever. Jointly the words mean because of, due to, with what reason. See 002:092. A/t/a, ‘for,’ ‘for what,’ ‘for all that’ and ‘of’)
- كُنۡـتُمۡ — Koon-toom — You used to (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. Combination of two words. The first كُنۡ means used to, have or had been since the past. The second تُمۡ means you all men and that is how the Holy Qor-aan has addressed men and women jointly. A/t/a, ‘you,’ ‘you used,’ ‘ye,’ ‘ye used’ and ‘your’)
- تَكۡسِبُوۡنَ — Tauk-say-boon — You earn (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Gain; get; perform’ pocket; Profit. Receive returns. Secure. A/t/a, ‘earn.’ But ‘did’ and ‘earned’ in the past tense, or nouns in your (evil) deeds’ and ‘misdeed,’ have not translated the text of the Holy Qor-aan in the present tense)
