The Holy Qor-aan 007:044
وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِىۡ صُدُوۡرِهِمۡ مِّنۡ غِلٍّ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهِمُ الۡاَنۡهٰرُۚ وَقَالُوا الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ هَدٰٮنَا لِهٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهۡتَدِىَ لَوۡلَاۤ اَنۡ هَدٰٮنَا اللّٰهُ ۚ لَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالۡحَـقِّ ؕ وَنُوۡدُوۡۤا اَنۡ تِلۡكُمُ الۡجَـنَّةُ اُوۡرِثۡتُمُوۡهَا بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
Wa na-zau-naa maa fee so-do-ray him min ghil-lin Tauj-re min tauh-tay hay-mo ul-aun-haa-ra
Wa qaa-loo ol-haum-do lil-laa-hay il-la-zee Ha-daa naa lay haa-zaa Wa maa koon-na lay nauh-ta-de Lao laa aun ha-daa naa ul-laa-h0
La qaud jaa-aut ro-so-lo raub-bay naa bay il-hauq-qay Wa noo-doo aun til ko-mo ul-jaun-na-to Oo-rith-to-moo haa bay-maa koon-toom tau-ma-loo-na
And We removed all that crookedness in their hearts. Rivers of peace and prosperity keep flowing under them.
And they said, “All thanks to Allah Who Guided us for this. And we would not have been guided If Allah had not guided us.” Surely the messengers of our Lord God brought us the Truth.”
And it would be announced that this is the Paradise You inherited because of what you have been practicing.
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- نَزَعۡنَا — Na-zau-naa — We removed (= v., past., pl., 1st person. Cut off. Discarded. Shaved off. Used with God’s name this plural is the authoritative way a higher-up talks See 001:007. A/t/a, ‘We shall remove,’ ‘We shall take away’ and ‘We shall strip’ in the future tense, and ‘We remove’ which is in the present tense, are no translations of the text of the Holy Qor-aan in the past tense)
- مَاۤ — Maa — All that (= What; whatever; whatsoever; at such time; when. A/t/a, ‘from,’ ‘whatever is,’ ‘whatever … may be,’ ‘whatever … may be (for others),’ ‘whatever’ and ‘all’)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Among. Inside a person or place. See Note 002:028)
- صُدُوۡرِ — So-do-ray –Hearts (= n., pl., Bosoms; breasts; chests; hearts; minds; hidden thoughts locked in human breasts; souls. A/t/a, ‘chests’)
- هِمۡ — Him — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
- مِّنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
- غِلٍّ– Ghil-lin — Crookedness (= n., s., Bad element. Perversity. A/t/a, ‘any Lurking sense of injury,’ ‘ill-feelings,’ ‘ill-feelings … against one another,’ ‘rancour,’ ‘hatred,’ ‘any (mutual) hatred or sense of injury (which they had, if at all, in the life of this world)’
Phrase Jun-naa-tin-tuj-ree … meaning Gardens of Paradise
- تَجۡرِىۡ — Tauj-ree — Flowing (= v., pres., s., f., 3rd person. Running with irrigational water; sailing water. See also 003:137. A/t/a, ‘flowing,’ ‘flow,’ ‘shall flow,’ ‘They shall have … rolling at their feet’ and ‘shall roll’)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= From a class, category, count, kind, persons or out of)
- تَحۡتِ — Tauh-tay — Underneath (= Below; beneath [all except 3]; deep in ground; on lower level; subsoil through; under. A/t/a, ‘at their feet.’ See Note 002:026a)
- هَا — Ha … (ul) — Them (= pro., s., f., 3rd person. Refers to جَنّٰتٍ, the Paradise)
- الۡاَنۡهٰرُ — Aun-haa-ro — Rivers (= n., pl., Abundant bodies, currents, streams or supplies of running water. The word refers to an abundance of peace and prosperity. A/t/a, ‘streams’)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- قَالُوا — Qaa-loo… (ol) — They said (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Announced; broadcast; called; conveyed; declared; informed; insisted; maintained, specified; stated; told. Commentary ‘‘You say means… ’ A/t/a, ‘they say,’ ‘they shall say,’ and ‘they will say.’ but such present or future tenses are no translations of the past tense used in the Holy Qor-aan. - اَلۡ — Ol — The (= The Arabic word ‘ul’ expresses two distinct meanings. 1. The Particular One. 2 – All in a category; real; total. Together they convey what is only the best, the tops)
- حَمۡدُ — Haum-do — Thanks (= n., Appreciation; gratitude; praise. A/t/a, ‘Praise be to,’ ‘All praise,’ ‘All perfect and true praise,’ ‘The praise’ and ‘All praise and thanks are’)
- لِلۡ — Lay … (il) — For (= Concerning; regarding; relative to; with intent to; for the attention, benefit, object, purpose or reason of. A/t/a, ‘due to,’ ‘belongs to’ and ‘to’)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay … (il) Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship. A/t/a, ‘Allah’s’)
- الَّذِىۡ — La-zee — He who (= s., m., 3rd person. Article, thing, person or phenomenon in masculine gender. A/t/a, ‘Who’ and ‘Who has’)
- هَدٰ — Ha-daa — Guided (= v., past., m., s. 3rd person. Coddled on correct course; directed accurately towards the best way; gave the best direction; guided to and led on the linier lines; put on the proper path; showed the right road)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us)
- لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; on account of; concerning; regarding; relative to. A/t/a, ‘to’)
- هٰذَا — Haa-zaa — This (= This particularly pointed out; present right here; what is in front of you. A/t/a, ‘hither,’ ‘this Paradise,’ ‘to attain to this (Paradise)’ and ‘this (felicity)’
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- مَاۤ — Maa — Not (= Absolutely not; none; not all. A/t/a, ‘never’)
- كُنَّا — Koon-na We would have been (= v., past., pl., 1st person. Combination of two words. The 1st word is كُنۡ (koon) that is a verb in the past tense and means used to, have or had been since the past, and is continuing from the past to the present and leads into the future, like ‘continued doing’ or ‘went on doing.’ The 2nd word is نَآ (naa) meaning we, us or ours. The combination means We would have become, been, shaped, shown, taken or turned into or ‘we ‘used to.’ A/t/a, ‘could we,’ ‘we would,’ ‘could … have’ ‘we could … truly have been’)
- لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; on account of; concerning; regarding; relative to)
- نَهۡتَدِىَ — Nah-ta-day-ya — We be guided (= v., pres., pl., 1st person. Led on linier lines; Put on proper path; set om right road. A/t/a, ‘have found guidance,’ ‘have found the way,’ ‘have been led aright (to this),’ ‘led aright’ and ’We would have strayed from the right path’)

- لَا — Laa — Not (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception)
- اَنۡ — Aun — That (= Certainly, positively or surely so that.)
- هَدٰ — Ha-daa — Guided (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Put on the right road. See هَدٰ above. ‘given us the guidance’ and ‘but ‘guidance of God’)

- اللّٰهُ — Laa-hao — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily)
- قَدۡ — Qaud — Surely (= This word lays emphasis like very definitely; surely. See Note 004:049 and our Commentary titled the ‘2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect.’ A/t/a, ‘indeed’ and ‘verily’)
- جَآءَتۡ — Jaa-aut — Came (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Arrived; reached. In different contexts the word can mean achieved, brought; delivered, returned; settled or succeeded. A/t/a, ‘did come,’ ‘came,’ ‘did bring,’ ‘brought,’ ‘did … bring’ and ‘had preached’)
- رُسُلُ– Ro-so-lo — Messengers (= pl., Apostles; God’s messengers; prophets; sages; saints
- رَبِّ — Rub-bay — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all creatures. Cherisher. Creator. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. See 001:002)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us)
- بِ — Bay … (il ) — With (= Literally the word بِ means with. A//t/a, ‘unto’)
- الۡحَـقِّ — Huq-qay — Justification (= n., Appropriateness; being right; fairness; good reason; just cause; reasonableness; suitability; truthfulness. A/t/a, ‘the truth)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- نُوۡدُوۡۤا — Noo-doo — Be announced (= v., past., pass., pl., 3rd person. Announced; called; cried; conveyed; declared in a mighty big bang or by public drumbeats. A/t/a, ‘They shall hear the cry,’ ‘they shall hear a call,’ ‘it will be cried out,’ ‘it shall be proclaimed unto them,’ ‘It will be proclaimed to them,’ ‘It is cried unto them’ and ‘A voice will cry out to them, saying’)

- تِلۡكَ — Til-ka — These are (= All that’s mentioned, stated or told. Those ‘shown, specified or stated right here. A/t/a, ‘this is’ and ‘This is the very’)
- كُمُ — Ko-mo … (ol) Your (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You men)
- الۡجَـنَّةُ — Jaun-na-to — The Paradise (= n., s., Big grove; Coppice. Thicket. Garden of ultimate and everlasting beauty and greenery. Place of immense beauty, peace and tranquility which is beyond human comprehension. The Heavens. The Orchard. Generally the ‘location on very fertile ground’ is added into the extrapolations of this word. A/t/a, ‘the Paradise,’ ‘Paradise’ and ‘the Heaven’)
- اُوۡرِثۡتُمُو — Oo-rith-to-moo — You inherited (= v., past., pl., 2nd person. Succeeded; taken as heirs. A/t/a, ‘Ye have been made Its inheritors,’ ‘which you have been given for an inheritance as a reward,’ ‘which has been bestowed,’ ‘you have been made heirs,’ ‘which you are made to inherit,’ ‘you have inherited,’ ‘you are made to inherit,’ ‘ye inherit’ and ‘you have earned’)
- هَا — Haa — Its (= pro., s., f., 3rd person., Refers to Paradise)
- بِمَا –Bay-maa — Because (= Combination of two words. بِ means ‘with / in’ and مَاۤ means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever. A/t/a, ‘for,’ ‘that which,’ ‘as a reward for what,’ ‘as a reward,’ ‘for what,’ ‘which’ and ‘with’)
- كُنۡـتُمۡ — Koon-toom — You used to (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. It is a combination of two words. The first word is كُنۡ which means used to, have or had been since the past. The second word is تُمۡ hat means you all men and that is how the Holy Qor-aan has addressed men and women jointly. A/t/a, ‘you used to,’ ‘you’ and ‘yours’)
- تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ — Tau-ma-loo-na — You do (= v., pres., pl.,, 2nd person. Act; bring about; do; operate; perform; practice; render; strive; work. A/t/a, ‘you used to do’ and ‘ye used to do.’ But nouns as in ‘Deeds (of righteousness),’ ‘your (good) deeds’, ‘your righteous deeds’ and ‘your labours,’ or verb in the past tense as in is ‘did,’ are no translations of the verb in the present tense that the Holy Qor-aan has used.
