وَاِذَا صُرِفَتۡ اَبۡصَارُهُمۡ تِلۡقَآءَ اَصۡحٰبِ النَّارِۙ قَالُوۡا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجۡعَلۡنَا مَعَ الۡقَوۡمِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ

 

Wa  aiy-zaa  so-ray-faut  aub-saa-ro  hoom                                                                               Til-qaa-aa  aus-haa-bo  on-naa-ray                                                                                                    Qaa-loo  raub-ba  naa  laa  tauj-aul  naa                                                                                      Ma-aa  ul-qao-may  iz-zaa-lay-mee-n

 

And when their eyes are rotated around                                                                    Meeting with the Inmates of Fire,                                                                                      They said, “Our Lord, make us not                                                                              Among the wrongdoing people.”

 

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • اِذَا — Aiy-zaa — When (= At the time or event; call to mind; recall; remember; think of the time, event, occasion or opportunity. Also, behold; consider; ponder over; reflect)
  • صُرِفَتۡ — So-ray-faut — Rotated around (= v., pres., pass., 3rd person. Are changed and moved to, focused on, rotated around, or turned towards. A/t/a,  ‘are turned.’ But ‘will be turned towards’ and ‘shall be turned toward’ in the future tense, or ‘when they turn … towards’ in the active voice, have not translated the Holy Qor-aan Text in the past tense)
  • اَبۡصَارُ — Aub-saa-ro — Eyes (= n., pl., Eyes; gazes. looks)
  • هُمۡ — Hoom — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
  • تِلۡقَآءَ — Til-qaa-aa — Meeting (= n., Coming across; joining. A/t/a, ‘towards’)
