The Holy Qor-aan 007:049
وَنَادٰٓى اَصۡحٰبُ الۡاَعۡرَافِ رِجَالًا يَّعۡرِفُوۡنَهُمۡ بِسِيۡمٰٮهُمۡ قَالُوۡا مَاۤ اَغۡنٰى عَنۡكُمۡ جَمۡعُكُمۡ وَمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ
Wa naa-daa aus-haa-bo ol-au-raa-fay ray-jaa-laun Yau-ray -foo-na hoom bay see-maa hoom Qaa-loo maa augh-naa aun koom jaum-o koom Wa maa koon-toom taus-tauk-bay-roo-n
And the people on the higher grounds called People whom they recognize with their markings. They said, “Did not avail you your accumulation Or what you used to pride in”

- كُنۡـتُمۡ — Koon-toom — You used to (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. It is a combination of two words. The first word is كُنۡ which means used to, have or had been since the past. The second word is تُمۡ that means you all men and that is how the Holy Qor-aan has addressed men and women jointly)
- تَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ — Taus-tauk-bay-roo-n — You pride (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Acting arrogant, cocky and proud. Boasting. Bragging. Priding; Pluming. Swaggering.
