The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                  007:041

 

اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَاسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا عَنۡهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمۡ اَبۡوَابُ السَّمَآءِ وَلَا يَدۡخُلُوۡنَ الۡجَـنَّةَ حَتّٰى يَلِجَ الۡجَمَلُ فِىۡ سَمِّ الۡخِيَاطِ‌ ؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِى الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ

 

In-na  aul-la-ze-na  kauz-za-boo  bay  aa-yaa-tay  naa                                                            Wa  aus-tauck-ba-roo  aun  haa                                                                                                          Laa  to-faut-ta-ho  la  hoom  aub-waa-bo  sa-maa-ai                                                                  Wa  laa  yaud-kho-loo-na  ul-jaun-na-ta  hut-taa                                                                      Ya-lay-ja  ul-ja-ma-lo  fee  saum-may  il-khay-yaa-tay                                                            Wa  kaa-zaa-lay-ka  nauj-zay  il-mooj-ra-mee-n

 

Surely those who rejected Our Signs                                                                                And acted arrogantly regarding it are that                                                                      The gates of heaven wont’ be opened for them.                                                          And they won’t enter Paradise until                                                                                  The camel passes through the eye of a needle. (**)                                                          And like this We pay back the criminals.

 

  • اِنَّ — In-na … (ul) — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘Sure,’ ‘For’ and ‘Lo!’)
  • ٱلَّذِينَ — Aul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, or phenomenon or things in masculine gender. A/t/a, ‘they who’)
  • كَذَّ بُوۡا — Kauz-za-boo — They belied (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Denied; derided, denounced, disowned, opposed, misrepresented, negated; rejected. A/t/a, ‘denied.’ But ‘reject,’ ‘disbelieve,’ ‘deny’ and ‘cry lies’ in the present tense is no translation of the Holy Qor-aan text in past tense. See Note 003:118)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word  بِ   means with. A/t/a, ‘to’)
  • يٰتِ — Aa-ya-tay — Signs (= n., pl of … An argument, corroboration, indication,  insinuation, pointer, portent, prof, sign, suggestion, symbol or token. See Note 002:074. A/t/a, ‘Revelations’ and ‘Messages’)
  • نَآ — Naa — Our (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us. Used with God’s name this plural is the authoritative way a higher-up talks)
  • وَ — Wa … (us) — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا — Aus-tauk-ba-roo — Acted arrogantly (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Acted arrogantly; behaved boastfully. Bragged haughtily. Deemed too big and proud. Pride-stricken. Puffed with pride. Scorned. Smug or smitten with complex. Took pride. Were   egotist or vanity rich. A/t/a, ‘scorned.’ But ‘treat them with arrogance,’ ‘turn away haughtily,’ ‘turn away in disdain,’ ‘turn away … with disdain,’ ‘turn away … disdainfully,’ ‘scorn’ and ‘scornfully reject’ in the present tense has not correctly translated the text of the Holy Qor-aan in the past tense)
  • عَنۡ — Aun — From (= About; concerning; regarding; relative to)
  • هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person.. Refers to aforesaid people. A/t/a, ‘them)
  • لَا — Laa — No (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception)
  • تُفَتَّحُ — To-faut-ta-ho — Be opened (= v., pres., pass., pl., 3rd person. Unfolded. Unlocked. A/t/a, ‘… opening Will there be,’ ‘will … be opened’ and ‘shall … be opened’ in the future tense is not a translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the present tense as a continuing rule of universal application)
  • لَ — La — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; concerning; regarding; relative to)
  • هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
  • اَبۡوَابُ — Aub-waa-bo … (os) —  Gates (-= n., pl. Doors. Entrances)
  • السَّمَآءِ — Sa-maa-aiy — Heaven (= n., s., All above ground, on earth or in space. Sky. Firmament.  A/t/a, ‘spiritual firmament’)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ   above)
  • لَا — Laa — No (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation)
  • يَدۡخُلُوۡنَ — Yaud-kho-loo-na — Enter (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Arrive. Gain admittance. Get admitted or allowed in. Reach. A/t/a, ‘will they enter,’ ‘they will enter,’ ‘they will … enter’ and ‘shall they enter’)
  • الۡجَـنَّةَ — Jaun-na-tay — The Paradise (= n., s., Big grove; Coppice. Thicket. Garden of ultimate and everlasting beauty and greenery. Place of immense beauty, peace and tranquility which is beyond human comprehension. The Heavens. The Orchard. Generally the ‘location on very fertile ground’ is added into the extrapolations of this word. A/t/a, ‘the Garden’)
  • حَتّٰى — Hut-ta — Until (= By the end of the period or term; till the time)

(**) An equivalent of the simile in next five (5) words is They really humble themselves

  • يَلِجَ — Ya-lay-ja … (ul) — Passes through (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. A/t/a, ‘can pass through,’ ‘shall pass through,’ ‘goes through’ and ‘passes through’)
  • الۡجَمَلُ — Ja-ma-lo — Camel  (= n., s., A big animal. A/y/a, ‘their pride and arrogance are so humbled and reduced’)
  • فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Among. Inside a person or place. See Note 002:028)
  • سَمِّ — Saum-may … (il)  — Eye (= n., The hole a thread is passed through. A/t/a, ‘eye … (which is impossible)’
  • الۡخِيَاطِ‌ — Khay-yaa-tay — Needle (= n., The needle that a tailor uses to sow)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ   above)
  • كَذٰلِكِ — Ka-zaa-lay-ka — Like this (= Combines two words.  كَ  means example, like,  identical resembling, similar.  ذٰلِكَ  means ‘this right in here’ and refers to an aforesaid event, fact, person or statement. The combination means like this, so it will be, such is the way, the same way, that is how, this way. A/t/a, ‘Thus,’ ‘in this way,’ ‘such’ and ‘so’)
  • نَجۡزِى — Nauj-zay … (il) — We pay back (= v., pres., pl., 1st person. For bad or evil consequences  of condemnation. Count, impose penalty, inflict, pay back; punish; recompense; requit. A/t/a, ‘do We requit,’ ‘do We recompence,’ ‘We reward’ and ‘We award.’ But the noun as in ‘our reward’ or the passive voice as in ‘shall … be rewarded’ have not translated the text of the Holy Qor-aan)
  • ا لۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ– Mooj-ray-mee-n — Wrongdoers (= n., Those who have committed crimes. Convicts. Criminals. A/t/a, ‘guilty,’ ‘the guilty ones,’ ‘offenders,’ ‘those in sin,’ ‘sinner,’ ‘those who cut their ties with Allah’ and ‘Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners)’
