The Holy Qor-aan 018:015
وَّرَبَطۡنَا عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ اِذۡ قَامُوۡا فَقَالُوۡا رَبُّنَا رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ لَنۡ نَّدۡعُوَا۫ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖۤ اِلٰهًـا لَّـقَدۡ قُلۡنَاۤ اِذًا شَطَطًا
Wa-ra-but-naa-alaa-qo-loo-bay-him-iz-qaa-moo-fa-qaa-loo Rub-bo-naa-rub-boos-smaa-waa-tay-wul-ur-dzay-lun-nud-oo Min-doo-na-he-aiy-laa-hun-la-qud-qool-naa-ezun-sha-ta-taa
And We added strength to their hearts when they stood. They then said, “God us all! God of heavens and earth, we will never pray Oher than Him to anyone, for surely, we would have spoken an enormity

- قُلُوۡبِ — Qo-loo-bay — Hearts (= n., pl., Refers to the ability to think, choose, decide and act in an appropriate manner physically and spiritually. Mind. Inner soul. Understanding. Actually the central organ inside the chest of all living creatures that keeps up the supply of blood to every tissue by pumping blood constantly through veins and controls the body parts and directs all their functions)
- هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
- اِذۡ — Iz — When (= At the time or event; call to mind; recall; remember; think of the time, event, occasion or opportunity. Also, behold; consider; ponder over; reflect)
- قَامُوۡا — Qaa-moo — Stood (= v., past, pl., 3rd person. Took the position. A/t/a, ‘stood up,’ ‘stood up (in the cause of God)’ and ‘stood forth’)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
- قَالُوۡا — Qaa-loo — They said (= v., past, s, m, 3rd person. Announced; broadcast; called; conveyed; declared; stated; told. See Notes 112:002 and our Commentary ‘You say’ means.’ A/t/a, ‘they said one to another’ and ‘they rightly said’)
- رَبُّ — Rub-bo — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all His creatures; Creator; Lord; Master; One Who sustains; The Ultimate Provider of Air, water, food and whatever we need to live and subsist. Also, The Lord God Provident)
- نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us)
- رَبُّ — Rub-bo … (os) — God (= The Almighty Allah. See رَبُّ above)
- السَّمٰوٰتِ — Sa-maa-waa-tay — The heavens (= n., pl., All above ground or earth; clouds; firmament; heavens; rain; skies; universe. Also, knowledge of astronomical objects in space)
- وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- الۡاَرۡضِ — Ul-ur-dzay — Earth (= n., s., Area; country; earth; ground; land; territory. Also, life on earth, nation; people or society in general)
- لَن — Lunn — Never (= Absolute denial; no; not; not at all; total negation)
- نَدۡعُوۡا — Nud-oo — We call (= v., pres., pl., 1st person. Ask; beg; beseech; call; pray; request. A/t/a, ‘call upon,’ ‘we cry,’ ‘never shall we invoke,’ ‘unto’ and ‘call on’)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
- دُوۡنِ — Doo-nay — Other than (= Apart from; besides; except; excluding; exclusive of; in preference to; over and beyond; to the exclusion of the rest of. A/t/a, ‘beside,’ ‘besides’ and ‘apart from’)
- هٖ — He — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
- اِلٰهًـا — Elaa-hun — God (= n., One worthy of being worshipped)
- لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; clearly, definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; surely; verily)
- قَدۡ — Qud — Surely (= This word lays emphasis like very definitely; surely. See Note 004:049 and our Commentary titled the ‘2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect)
- اِذًا — Ezun — Then (= At the time, event or occasion or opportunity)
- قُلۡنَاۤ — Qool-naa — We would have said (= v., past., pl., 1st person. This word is a combination of the above-said قَالُوۡا and نَآ meaning we, us. A/t/a, ‘should we utter,’ ‘we should utter,’ ‘we would utter,’ ‘we should indeed Have uttered,’ ‘we would certainly be uttering’ and ‘we would have uttered’)
- شَطَطًا — Sha-ta-taa (= n., Atrocity; flagrancy; evil, horrible or terrible thing; heinousness; monstrousness; outrage. A/t/a, ‘enormity,’ ‘preposterous thing,’ ‘a preposterous thing far from the truth’ and ‘blaspheming’)
