The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                   026:088

وَلَا تُخۡزِنِىۡ يَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَۙ 

Wa-laa-tookh-zay-nee-yao-ma-yoob-aa-thoo-na 

And do not disgrace me the day they are raised. 

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • لَا — Laa — Do not  (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation. A/t/a, ‘Do not’)
  • تُخۡزِ — Tookh-zay — Disgrace (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. Abase; catch; dishonor; humiliate; insult; shame. A/t/a, ‘disgrace,’ ‘hold … to shame,’ ‘let … be In disgrace,’ ‘let … be disgraced’ and ‘put … to shame and disgrace’)
  • نِىۡ — Nee — Me (= pro., s., m & f., 1st person)
  • يَوۡمَ — Yao-ma — The day (= n., s., A juncture, moment, period, term or time which comes to an end)
  • يُبۡعَثُوۡنَۙ‏ — Yoob-aa-thoo-na — Raised (= v., pres., pass., pl., 3rd person. Appointed; brought back to life; given life again; reincarnated; reinstated; resurrected. A/t/a, ‘When (men) will be raised up,’ ‘when people will be raised up,’ ‘when they will be raised up,’ ‘they are raised,’ ‘they are raised up’ and ‘when people will be resurrected.’ But the noun ‘Resurrection’ is no translation of the verb the Holy Qor-aan has used)

يَوۡمَ لَا يَنۡفَعُ مَالٌ وَّلَا بَنُوۡنَۙ‏

Yao-ma-laa-yun-fa-o-maa-loom-wa-laa-ba-no0-na

The day benefits neither wealth nor children. 

  • يَوۡمَ — Yao-ma —  The day (= n., s., A juncture, moment, period, term or time which comes to an end. A/t/a, ‘when’)
  • لَا — Laa — No (= Naught; neither; never; none; nothing. See  لَا above. A/t/a, ‘neither,’  ‘not (any man)’ and ‘nothing’)
  •   يَنۡفَعُ — Yun-fa-o — Benefits (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Brings advantage; does good;    helps; makes or shows profit. A/t/a, ‘will avail,’ ‘will … avail,’ ‘shall … avail,’ ‘avail’ and ‘shall profit’)
  • مَال — Maa-loon — Wealth (= n., s., Affluence; assets, gains, good; money, property;  riches; wealth; resources; substance; valuables. Also, the time, talent and tasks that produce positives results in a far bigger, broader and wider scale, scope, segment and situations which improve others individual and societal lives)
  • وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • لَا — Laa — No (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor. See لَا  above)
  • بَنُوۡنَ — Ba-noo-na — Children (= n., pl., Sons; offspring’s; progeny; future generations. Includes followers, nation and tribes. A/t/a, ‘sons (be of any good)’

اِلَّا مَنۡ اَتَى اللّٰهَ بِقَلۡبٍ سَلِيۡمٍؕ‏

Il-laa-mun-aa-tul-laa-ha-bay-qaul-bin-sa-lee-m 

Except whoever came to Allah with a peaceful heart. 

  • اَلَّا — Il-laa — Except (= Except; saving. A/t/a, ‘but,’ ‘save,’ ‘He alone will be saved’ and ‘none shall be saved except’)
  • مَنۡ — Mun — Who (= Anyone; whoever;  whomever; whoso. A/t/a, ‘he (will prosper) that,’ ‘him who’ and ‘But (he alone will be saved) who’)
  • اَتَى — Aa-ta … (ul) — Came (= v., past, m., 3rd person. Awarded; bestowed; blessed;  brought; conferred; delivered; donated; entrusted; equipped; gave; gifted; granted; handed; presented; provided; reached; rewarded. A/t/a, ‘bringeth,’ ‘comes’ and ‘brings’ in the present tense is no translation of the past tense in which the Holy Qor-aan has stated the fact)
  • ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with)
  • قَلۡبِ — Qul-bay — Heart (= n., s., 1. The central organ inside the chest of all living creatures that keeps up the supply of blood to every tissue by pumping blood constantly through veins and controls all body parts and directs all their functions. 2. Mind; inner soul; ability to think, choose, decide and act in an appropriate manner both physically and spiritually; understanding)
  • سَلِيۡمٍ — Sa-lee-m — Peaceful (= n., Obedient; peaceful; sound; submissive; surrendered. A/t/a, ‘sound and pure,’ ‘whole’ and ‘pure’)

وَاُزۡلِفَتِ الۡجَـنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَۙ‏   

Wa-ooz-lay-fa-til-jun-na-ta-lil-moot-ta-qee-n 

And the Paradise brought near for the Righteous.  

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above. A/t/a, ‘The day when)’
  • اُزۡلِفَتۡ — Ooz-lay-fay-til — Brought near (= v., pres., pass., s., f., 3rd person. Brought close, near, well-nigh or within easy reach. Drawn within short distance. Made easily accessible. A/t/a, ‘shall be brought near,’ ‘will be brought near,’ ‘will be brought nigh,’  ‘Will be brought,’ ‘is brought’ and ‘brought in sight’)
  • الۡجَـنَّةَ — Jun-na-ta — The Paradise (= n., s., Big grove; Coppice. Thicket. Garden of ultimate and everlasting beauty and greenery. Place of immense beauty, peace and tranquility which is beyond human comprehension. The Heavens. The Orchard. Generally, the ‘location on very fertile ground’ is added into the extrapolations of this word. A/t/a, ‘the Garden’ and ‘Heaven’)
  • لِلۡ — L … (il) — For (= Concerning, regarding; relative to; intended for; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘for’ and ‘of’)
  •     مُتَّقِيۡنَ‏ — Moot-ta-qee-n — The righteous (= n., Clean; pious; doers of duty owed to God Almighty.  God-Fearing. Noble. Righteous. Those who ‘avoid angering Allah; Virtuous. See Commentary The Righteous. A/t/a, ‘the righteous,’ ‘the dutiful,’ ‘who ward off (evil),’ ‘who guard against evil’ and ‘the pious’)

وَبُرِّزَتِ الۡجَحِيۡمُ لِلۡغٰوِيۡنَۙ‏ 

Wa-boor-ray-til-ja-he-mo-lil-ghaa-vee-n

And the Hell fully exposed for the Errant.

  • بُرِّزَتِ — Boor-ray-za-ti(l)– Fully exposed (= v., pres., pass., s., f., 3rd person. Brought in full view. Displayed. Laid open. Made apparent. Manifested. Put in full view for all to see it. A/t/a, ‘made manifest,’ ‘shall be uncovered,’ ‘will appear plainly,’ ‘placed in full view,’ ‘shall be unveiled and laced in full view,’ ‘shall be set open’ and ‘revealed’)
  • ٱلۡجَحِيم — Ja-he-mo — The Hell (= Blazing Fire. Purgatory; Gehenna; hellfire. Also, the hellish life in this world. A/t/a, ’The Fire’ and ‘Gehenna’)
  • لِلۡ — L … (il) — For (= Concerning, regarding; relative to; intended for; to; towards. A.t/a, ‘for’)
  • غٰوِيۡنَ — Ghaa-vee-n — Errant (= n., pl. Badly behaving; blundering; delinquent; erring;  gone astray; gone wrong; misbehaving; naughty; rowdy; sinful; wayward. A/t/a, ‘erring,’ ‘those straying in Evil,’ ‘the deviators,’ ‘those who have gone astray,’ ‘those who stray’ and ‘those (wretched ones) who had deviated from the right path’ )
