Continued Chapter # 055 Soora-toor-Rah-maan سُوۡرَةُ الرَّحمٰن Continued from 055:019
The Holy Qor-aan 055:020 to 026
مَرَجَ الۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيٰنِ ۙ ○ بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٌ لَّا يَبۡغِيٰنِ ۚ ○ فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰن○ يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا اللُّـؤۡلُـؤُ وَالۡمَرۡجَانُ ۚ ○ فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰن○ وَلَهُ الۡجَوَارِ الۡمُنۡشَئٰتُ فِى الۡبَحۡرِ كَالۡاَعۡلَام ۚ ○ فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰن ○ فَ
- Ma-ra-jul-bah-rai-nay-yul-ta-qay-yaa-n
- Bai-na-ho-maa-bur-za-khoon-laa-yub-ghay-yaa-n
- Fa-bay-auy-yay-aa-laa-aiy-rub-bay-ko-maa-to-kuz-zay-baa-n
- Yukh-ro-jo-min-ho-mul-loe-lo-ool-mur-jaan
- Fa-bay-auy-yay-aa-laa-aiy-rub-bay-ko-maa-to-kuz-zay-baa-n
- Wa-hool-ja-waa-ril-moon-shay-aa-to-fil-bah-ray-kul-au-laa-m
- Fa-bay-auy-yay-aa-laa-aiy-rub-bay-ko-maa-to-kuz-zay-baa-n
- He made up two oceans that will meet
- Between those two is a barrier that they cannot go over
- So with which blessings of God of you two can you both deny
- Come out from them both the pearl and the coral
- So with which blessings of God of you two can you both deny
- And for Him are the ships spreading out in the ocean like tall mountains
- So with which blessings of God of you two can you both deny

The Holy Qor-aan 055:020
مَرَجَ الۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيٰنِۙ
Ma-ra-jul-bah-rai-nay-yul-ta-qay-yaan
He made up two oceans that will meet
- مَرَجَ — Ma-ra-ja..(ul) — He made up (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Carved up, created, finished, organized, made, prepared, set up or structured from a prior state of chaos, clutter, confusion, disorder, jumbled up situation or nothingness. A/t/a, ‘let free,’ ‘has put … in motion,’ ‘let … flow freely,’ ‘to flow freely,’ ‘let loose,’ ‘loosed’ and ‘he has made … flow’)
- الۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ — Bah-rai-nay — Two oceans (= n., Seas. A/t/a, ‘bodies of flowing water,’ ‘the two seas (the salt and fresh water),’ ‘two bodies of water,’ ‘the two bodies,’ ‘two oceans’ and ‘two seas’)
- يَلۡتَقِيٰنِ — Yul-ta-qay-yaan — They meet (= v., pres., 2pl., 3rd person. Are going to become one, join, meet or merge. A/t/a, ‘They will one day meet,’ ‘they will meet,’ ‘meeting together,’ ‘they meet together,’ They meet,’ ‘they meet one another’ and ‘they will (one day) join together’)

The Holy Qor-aan 055:021
بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٌ لَّا يَبۡغِيٰنِۚ
Bai-na-ho-maa-bur-za-khoon-laa-yub-ghay-yaan
Between those two is a barrier that they cannot go over
- بَيۡنَ — Bai-na — Between (= Betwixt; among; flanked by; in between.)
- هُمَا — Ho-maa — Those two (= pro., 2pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to aforesaid two oceans
- بَرۡزَخٌ — Bur-za-khoon — Barrier (= n., Big block or patch of land; blockage; boundary; stoppage. A/t/a, ‘is now a barrier,’ ‘there is at present a barrier,’ ‘Just now there is a barrier,’ ‘(At present) a barrier stands’ and ‘stands a barrier’)
- لَا — Laa — Cannot (= Naught; neither; never; no; none; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception)
- يَبۡغِيٰنِ — Yub-ghay-yaan — Go over (= v., pres., 2pl., 3rd person. Go or cross over; violate. A/t/a, ‘transgress,’ ‘encroach not one upon the other,‘ ‘encroach not (one upon the other,’ ‘They cannot encroach one upon the other,’ ‘overrun’ and ‘they cannot pass’)

The Holy Qor-aan 055:022
○ فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَاۤءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ
Fa-bay-auy-yay-aa-laa-aiy-rub-bay-ko-maa-to-kuz-zay-baa-n
So with which blessings of God of you two can you both deny
- فَ — Fa — So (= Hence; then; thus; at the end; in conclusion; in the final analysis; consequently; finally; resultantly; therefore)
- بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ means ‘with’)
- اَىِّ — Auy-yay — Which (= What. A/t/a, ‘Which is it’)
- اٰلَاۤءِ — Aa-laa-aiy — Blessings (= n., pl., Donations; gifts; grants; favors; freebees; handouts. A/t/a, ‘bounties,’ ‘benefactions’ and ‘favours’)
- رَبِّ — Rub-bay — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
- كُمَا — Ko-maa — You two ** (= pro., 2pl., m., 2nd person. You both or twain. You two bands, bunches, cliques, cults or groups.. Reference is to the bodies of men and jinn. A/t/a, ‘your’ [several authors], ‘you twain (jinn and men)’ and ‘you twain (believers and disbelievers).’ See Note 055:014)
- تُكَذِّبٰنِ — To-kuz-zay-baa-n — You both can deny (= v., 2pl., 2nd person. Belie; contradict; decline; disagree; disapprove; discredit; disprove; rebuff; refuse; turn down. A/t/a, ‘will ye deny,’ ‘will you deny,’ ‘ye twain, O men and jinn, deny,’ ‘will you twain deny, O men and Jinn,’ ‘will you both (jinn and men) deny,’ ‘would you deny’ and ‘that ye deny’)

The Holy Qor-aan 055:023
يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا اللُّـؤۡلُـؤُ وَالۡمَرۡجَانُ
Yukh-ro-jo-min-ho-mul-loe-loo-o-wul-mur-jaa-n
Come out from them both the pearl and the coral
- يَخۡرُجُ — Yukh-ro-jo — Come out (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Emerge; exit. Also, are delivered, extracted, fished out or produced. A/t/a, ‘Out of them come,’ ‘come forth,’ ‘comes forth,’ ‘There come out’ and ‘taken out’)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
- هُمَا — Ho-maa — Those two (= pro., 2pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to aforesaid two bodies of water. A/t/a, ‘both (these) seas’)
- اللُّـؤۡلُـؤُ — Loe-loo — The pearl (= n., A/t/a, ‘pearls large’)
- وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; instead; more over; rather; though; when; yet; whereupon; while)
- الۡمَرۡجَانُ — Mur-jaa-n — The corals (= n., A growth in the sea that is brought out like valuable pearls; coral. A/t/a, ‘pearls…small’ and ‘coral-stone’)

The Holy Qor-aan 055:025
وَلَهُ الۡجَوَارِ الۡمُنۡشَئٰتُ فِى الۡبَحۡرِ كَالۡاَعۡلَامِۚ
Wa-la-hool-ja-waa-ril-moon-sha-aa-to-fil-bah-ray-kul-au-laam
And for Him are the ships spreading out in the ocean like tall mountains

- الۡمُنۡشَئٰتُ — Moon-sha-aa-to — Spreading out (= Going or sailing out in all directions. A/t/a, ‘sailing smoothly,’ ‘reared aloft,’ ‘with lofty sails raised high,’ ‘raised aloft,’ ‘going and coming,’ ‘sail,’ ‘sail through,’ ‘displayed’ and ‘reared aloft in the sea’)
- فِى — F…(il) — In (= Amidst; among; in a time, place, thing or situation. A/t/a, ‘through’ and ‘on’)
- الۡبَحۡرِ — Bah-ray — Ocean (= n., s., Big body of water; big lakes like the Sea of Aral; lake; river; sea; stream)
- كَ — Ka…(ul) — Like (= Identical; resembling; similar to the one stated in prior verse to. Take the example or similitude of)
- لۡاَعۡلَامِ — Au-laa-m — Mountains (= n., Hills; peaks. Also, huge flags. A/t/a, ‘mountains,’ ‘banners,’ ‘mountain peaks,’ ‘lofty as mountains’ and ‘landmarks’)
