The day He assembles you for the Day of Assembly That will be the day of Final Settlement. And whoever believes in Allah and behaves righteously Will be denied the evil consequences of his deeds And will be entered in the Gardens of Paradise Underneath which rivers flow Living in it forever. And that is the supreme triumph
- يَوۡمَ — Yao-ma — The day (= n., s., A juncture, moment, period, term or time which comes to an end. A/t/a, ‘Beware of the day when’ and ‘(… remember) the day’)
- يَجۡمَعُ — Yuj-ma-o — He assembles (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Assembles; gathers; gets together. A/t/a, ‘He shall gather,’ ‘gather … together,’ ‘will gather’ and ‘He will assemble’)
- كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all men. Generally this is the way the Holy Qor-aan addresses men and women)
- لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; on account of; concerning; regarding; relative to)
- يَوۡمِ — Yao-ma … (il) — The day (= n., s., A juncture, moment, period, term or time which comes to an end)
- الۡجَمۡعِ — Jum-aiy — Assembly (= n., Gathering. A/t/a, ‘Assembling’ and ‘on which you shall be gathered’)
- ذٰلِكَ — Zaa-lay-ka — This (= Here; refers to an aforesaid fact, person or statement; it was because; right here; such is this; that is how it is)
- يَوۡمُ — Yao-mo .. (ot) — Day (= n., s., A moment, period or term of time. See يَوۡمَ above)
- التَّغَابُنِ — Ta-gha-boon — Final settlement (= n., Accounting; determination; reckoning; settlement. See below the Note 064:010. A/t/a, ‘Manifestation of losses,’ ‘mutual disillusion,’ ‘mutual losses and gains (among you),’ ‘the determination of losses and gains,’ ‘the determination of gains and losses,’ ‘cheating,’ ‘mutual loss and gain,‘ ‘mutual loss and gains (i.e. the loss for the disbelievers as they will enter the Hell-fire and gain for the believers as they will enter Paradise)’ and ‘winners and losers’)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; who; whoever; whom; whomever; whoso)
- يُّؤۡمِنۡۢ — Yoe-min — Believes (= v., pres., s., 3rd person.. Believes in the Holy Qor-aan; became Moslem. See our Commentaries Islam-101 and Believe and Disbelieve. A/t/a, ‘believes’ and ‘believeth.’ But saying ‘those who believe’ but stating this act in the plural is no accurate translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the singular form)
- بِ — B … (il) — With (= Literally the word بِ means with but the context here warrants to substitute it with an in)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- يَعۡمَلۡ — Yau-mul — Behaves (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Acts; behaves; does; performs; practices; works. A/t/a, ‘doth,’ ‘works righteousness,’ ‘work,’ ‘acts’ and ‘act’)

- يُّكَفِّرۡ — Yo-kuf-fer — Will be denied (= v., pres., pass., s., 3rd person.. Absolved; removed. A/t/a, ‘shall be forgiven’ and ‘will be acquitted of.’ But ‘He will remove,’ ‘He will remove them,’ ‘he will remove from them,’ ‘Allah will remove,’ ‘He will remit,’ ‘He will expiate’ and ‘God will atone’ in the active voice are not accurate translations because the word هٖ at the end of the word سَيِّاٰتِ shows very clearly that the evil deeds referred to are the acts of man and not the acts of God. So using the proper noun Allah or pronoun He as the doer of the evil deeds in the active voice is not right)
- عَنۡ — Un — From (= About; concerning; regarding; relative to)
- هُ — Ho — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid person)

- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- يُدۡخِلۡ — Yood-khil — Will be entered (= v., pres., pass., s., 3rd person. Admitted; allowed. A/t/a, ‘shall be … admitted.’ But ‘Allah … will admit,’ ‘God will … admit him,’ ‘He will admit,’ ‘He will … cause him to enter’ and ‘He will bring’ in the active voice are not the accurate translations. See يُّكَفِّرۡ above for the reason why using the proper noun Allah or pronoun He to admit someone in the Paradise in the active voice is not right)
- هُ — Ho — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid person)

** Note 064:010. Literally the word تغَابُنِ means an end to Cheating or the elimination of all cheatings or exaggerations. It is that moment when all credits and debits have been butted against each other arriving at a certain figure which shows the final net gain or loss. It ends all cheating, diminishing, doubts, exaggerating or inflations in the figures that the parties may have brought into any transaction between them.
After taking into account all good and bad things done in one’s life, showing gains made and losses suffered, and adjusting credits for the good and debits for the bad, this step finishes the process of reckoning. This is the absolutely Final Settlement that ends all prior doubts.
