The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                              064:019

 

عٰلِمُ الۡغَيۡبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ

            Aa-lay-mool-ghai-bay-wush-sha-haa-da-til-azee-zool-ha-kee-m

            He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Seen, the Mightiest, the Wisest

 

  • عٰلِمُ —  Aa-lay-mo(ol) — Knower (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him has full awareness, cognizance, information and knowledge. Various translations combine different words to state God’s finality, mastery and totality of having all info, perfect knowledge and being Cognizant, Mindful, Most Knowledgeable, Well-Acquainted, Well-Aware.   • الۡغَيۡبِ — Ghai-bay — The Unseen (= Hidden invisible or secret realities hitherto unknown. The unknown. The unseen. Things beyond being seen. A/t/a, ‘the Unseen,’ ‘hidden’ and ‘invisible’)
  • وَ — Wa … (ush) — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • الشَّهَادَةِ — Sha-haa-da-tay — Seen (= n., Evident; seeable; visible. Also something that can  be attested, corroborated and observed; proof; testimony; eye-witness account. A/t/a, ‘visible,’  ‘the Seen’ and ‘open’)
  •  الۡعَزِيۡزُ — Azee-zo ..(ol) — The Mightiest (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is The Revered, The Highest, The Most Exalted, Honored and Respected. All-Mighty. Exalted in might and power. Mightiest. This one word includes the meanings of might with respect. See 001:001. A/t/a, ‘Exalted in might,’ ‘The Mighty’ and ‘the All-Mighty’)
  • الۡحَكِيۡمُ — Ha-kee-m — The Wisest (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Wise. Full and Possessor of wisdom. Extremely shrewd. Exalted in wisdom. All-Wise. See 001:001. A/t/a, ‘full of wisdom, The Wise’ and ‘the All-Wise’)
