The Holy Qor-aan                                         092:002                                          وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَغۡشٰىۙ

Wul-lai-lay-ezaa-yugh-shaa

By the night when that covers everything in the dark

• وَ — Wa…(ul) — By (= This وَ vaao is tantamount to taking oath; solemn declaration. ‘I call to witness’)
• الَّيۡلِ — Lai-lay — The night (= The opposite of sunlit day; the period between the sun-set and the following dawn)
• اِ ذَ ا — Ezaa — When that (= Any time or event; that; whenever)
• يَغۡشٰىۙ‏ — Yugh-shaa — Covers (= Becomes quiet. Engulfs thick darkness or stillness. One night enshrouds, envelops or conceals another night. Throws darkness all over. Draws, spreads or throws over its veil on everything. Darkens)

The Holy Qor-aan                                        092:003                                           وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰىۙ‏

Wun-na-haa-ray-ezaa-ta-jul-laa

By the day when that brightens everything in the sunshine

• وَ — Wa…(un) — By (= This وَ vaao is tantamount to taking oath; solemn declaration. ‘I call to witness’)
• النَّهَار — Na-haa-ray — The day (= The opposite of night time; the period between the dawn and the following sun-set)
• اِ ذَ ا — Ezaa — When that (= Any time or event; now that; whenever)
• تَجَلّٰىۙ — Ta-jul-laa — Brightens (= Becomes radiant and resplendent; brings the light of the day. Glory of morning hours appears in full splendor. Growing brightness of the forenoon. Morning appears bright with sunshine; shines)

The Holy Qor-aan                                          092:004                                وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَوَالۡاُنۡثٰٓىۙ‏

Wa-maa-kha-la-quz-za-ka-ra-wul-oon-thaa

By all that He created as the male and the female

• وَ — Wa — By (= This وَ vaao is tantamount to taking oath; solemn declaration. ‘I call to witness’)
• مَا — Maa — All that (= Who. How. What means, method, purpose or reason; whatever; whatsoever)
• خَلَقَ — Kha-la-qu..(z) — He created (= v., Brought into being; mystery of the creation)
• الذَّكَرَ — Za-ka-ra — Male (= In masculine gender)
• وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
• الۡاُنۡثٰٓىۙ‏ — Oon-thaa — Female (= In feminine gender)

The Holy Qor-aan                                          092:005                                           اِنَّ سَعۡيَكُمۡ لَشَتّٰىؕ‏ 

In-na-say-ya-koom-la-shut-taa

Your efforts most certainly spread out in diverse sides

• اِنَّ — In-na — Certainly ** (= Absolutely; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; in all seriousness; in all sincerity; positively; really; surely; truly; verily)
• سَعۡيَ — Sau-ya — Effort (= n., Activities; attempts; endeavors; ends sought; goals pursued; striving; trying)
• كُم — Koom — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You men. Generally this way the Holy Qor-aan addresses both men and women)
• لَ — La — Certainly ** (= Absolutely; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; in all seriousness; in all sincerity; positively; really; surely; truly; verily)
• شَتّٰى — Shu-taa — Spread (= Dispersed, diverse, going, scattered or split in different directions; aiming at or seeking different goals and ends. Implication is that Man is confused about the end goal which is better for him to focus all hi attention on it and make an all out effort to reach it)

** Note: Two Arabic words اِنَّ and لَ with similar meanings are used in the same one clause to create extreme emphasis. See ‘2 Words of Emphasis used together Multiply Effect’.
