The Holy Qor-aan 098:001 to 004
Verses of the Holy Qor-aan are quoted on this site with the numbers, the first set of three being the number of Soorah (Chapter) followed by the last set of three being the number of the verse. The numbers include بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ as the verse #1 in every Soorah except the Soorah #9. The original Arabic word is shown first, or in Col #1. Chapter # 98 Soora-too-Buy-yre-nah سُوۡرَةُ البَیّنَة
بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
لَمۡ يَكُنِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ وَالۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ مُنۡفَكِّيۡنَ حَتّٰى تَاۡتِيَهُمُ الۡبَيِّنَةُ ۙ ○ رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ يَتۡلُوۡا صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ۙ ○ فِيۡهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ ؕ○ وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡكِتٰبَ اِلَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ الۡبَيِّنَةُ ؕ وَمَاۤ اُمِرُوۡۤا اِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مُخۡلِصِيۡنَ لَـهُ الدِّيۡنَ ۙ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُؤۡتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَذٰلِكَ دِيۡنُ الۡقَيِّمَةِ ؕ ○ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ وَ الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ فِىۡ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا ؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمۡ شَرُّ الۡبَرِيَّةِ ؕ ○ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِۙ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمۡ خَيۡرُ الۡبَرِيَّةِ ؕ ○ جَزَآؤُهُمۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡ جَنّٰتُ عَدۡنٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَاۤ اَبَدًا ؕ رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُوۡا عَنۡهُ ؕ ذٰلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَشِىَ رَبَّهٗ1.
- Bis-mil-laa-hir-rah-maa-nir-ra-heem
- Lum-ya-ko-nil-la-zee-na-ka-fa-roo-min-auh-lil-ke-taa-bay-wul-moosh-re-kee-na-moon-fuk-kee-na-hut-taa-tau-te-ya-ho-mool-buy-yay-nauh.
- Ra-soo-loon-me-nul-laa-hay-yut-loo-so-ho-fum-mo-tuh-rauh.
- Fee-haa-koto-boon-quy-yay-mauh.
- Wa-maa-ta-fur-ra-qul-la-zee-na-oo-tool-ke-taa-ba-il-laa-min-bau-de-maa-jaa-ut-ho-mool-buy- ye-nauh.
- Wa-maa-ome-roo-il-la-le-yau-bo-dool-laa-ha-mookh-le-see-na-la-hood-dee-na–ho-na-faa-aa-wa-yo-quee-moos-sa-la-ta–wa-yo-tooz-za-kaa-ta–wa-zaa-le-ka-dee-nool-quy-yay-mauh
- In-nul-la-zee-na-kafa-roo-min-auh-lil-ke-taa-bay-wul-moosh-ray-kee-na-fee-naa-ray-ja- hun-nama–khaa-le-dee-na-fee-haa–o-laa-eka-hoom-shur-rool-ba-re-yauh
- In-nul-la-zee-na-aa-ma-noo-wa-aa-me-loos-sua-le-haa-te-o-laa-eka-hoom-khai-rool- ba-re-yauh
- Ja-jaa-o-hoom-in-da-rub-bay-him–jun-naa-to-ud-nin-tuj-re-min-tuh-te-hul-un-haa-ro-khaa-le-dee-na-fee-haa-aba-daa–ra-ze-yul-laa-ho-un-hoom–wa-razoo-un-ho–zaa-leka-lay-mun-kha-she-ya-rub-bauh.

- With the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful I begin.
- Those who disbelieved among the people of the Book and the idolaters are not going to stop hostilities until clear proof has come to them.
- A messenger from Allah, reciting the scripture that thoroughly cleanses.
- In it are the directions written and set up well.
- And those given the Book were not divided until after the clear proof had reached them.
- And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, devoting exclusively to Him the religion, being forever inclined. And they establish the prayer and bring about the purification of earnings. And that is the religion, set up very well.
- Definitely those who disbelieved from among the people of the Book and the idolaters will be in the fire of hell, living therein. They all are the worst of the creatures.
- Definitely those who believed and did good deeds, they are all the best of the creatures.
- Their reward with their God is the eternal Paradise flowing underneath which are rivers, living therein forever. Allah is pleased with them. And they are pleased with Him. This is for anyone who feared his God.

The Holy Qor-aan 098:001
○بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ
Bis-mil-laa-hir-rah-maa-nir-ra-heem
With the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful I begin.
(Beginning, commencing, starting)
- بِ — B(is) — With (= This Arabic word literally means ‘with’. Its translation in English is more accurate with ‘with’ than with ‘in’)
- سۡمِ — Ism…(il) — The name of (= The way to be addressed or called) )
- اللهِ — Laa-h(ir) — Allah (= The Almighty God; the One Only worthy of worship)
- الرَّحۡمٰنِ — Rah-maa-n(ir) — The Most Beneficent (= The One who fully, totally and wholly benefits all, to the maximum, with no condition, limitation or restriction. Compassionate. Gracious)
- الرَّحِيۡمِ — Ra-heem — The Most Merciful (= The One who fully, totally and wholly showers mercy, to the maximum, again and again, continually, indefinitely and perpetually like the endlessly incoming waves from the oceans)

Holy Qor-aan 098:002

- كَفَرُوۡا — Ka-fa-roo — Disbelieved (= 1. Denied, refused or rejected faith or belief in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan and Islaam to become Moslem. 2. Acted ungratefully; failed to appreciate, thank and gratefully use and utilize God’s blessings and opportunities provided to them. 3. Heretics; infidels; resistors to God; unbelievers)
- مِنۡ — Min — Among (= From the class, category, count, kind, person or out of)
- اَهۡلِ — Auh-l…(il) — People of (= Masters; owners; believers in and users of)
- الۡكِتٰبِ — Ke-taa-bay — The Book (= 1. Code; Direction; Divine Command / Regulations; Holy Direction; Scripture; Spiritual Code. 2. Mandated; ordered; penned down; prescribed; preserved; recorded; written down; written records.
3. Testament that holds good and operative eternally. 4. Authentic written material in black & white) - وَ — Wa…(ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ — Moosh-re-keena — Idolaters (= pl., Thos who associate gods with Allah. Those who ascribe partners to the Almighty God; polytheists)
- مُنۡفَكِّيۡنَ — Moon-fuk-keena — Stop (= Who desist from and quit bigotry, disbelief and hostilities against the Holy Prophet s.a.w, Islam and its adherents; end, leave, stop or terminate disbelief and rejection of Faith; get rid of, depart from or leave bigotry, disbelief, erring, sinning or unbelieving; become totally free of wrong doing)
- حَتّٰى — Hut-ta — Until (= By the end of the period or term; till)
- تَاۡتِي — Tau-te-ya — Come (= Arrive; gets delivered; reaches)
- هُمُ — Ho-mo…(ol) — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to the disbelievers and the idolaters) )
- الۡبَيِّنَةُ — Buy-yay-nauh — Clear proof (= Convincing, irrefutable, manifest and sure evidence, proof and testimony)

رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ يَتۡلُوۡا صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ۙ
Ra-soo-loon-me-nul-laa-hay-yut-loo-soho-fum-mo-tuh-rauh
A messenger from Allah, reciting the scripture that thoroughly cleanses.
- رَسُوۡلٌ — Ra-soo-lo(m) — Messenger (= sing., Apostle; God’s messenger; prophet; sage; saint)
- مِّنَ — Min…(il) — From (= From the class, category, count, kind, persons or out of)
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- يَتۡلُوۡا — Yut-loo — Reciting (= 1. Coaching; educating; informing; reading; teaching; telling; training; tutoring. 2. Communicating; declaring narrating; rehearsing; relating. Also worshiping)
- صُحُفًا — Soh-fun… (m) — Scripture (= Holy revelation from God to his apostles; written portions of the Book; pure pages; sanctified pages; leaves kept pure)
- مُّطَهَّرَةً — Mo-tuh-rauh — Cleansed (= Made holy; purified; without any falsehood whatever; free from impurities; pure and unadulterated; kept pure and holy — without any falsehood before or after it as stated in 041: 043)

فِيۡهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ
Fee-haa-koto-boon-quy-yay-mauh
In it are the directions written and set up well.
- فِىۡ — Fee — Inside (=In; in the duration or middle of an event, time, place, people or situation; duration)
- هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid Scripture)
- كُتُبٌ — Ko-to-boon — Directions (= pl., Decrees; divine codes; instructions; laws; orders; regulations; rules; scriptures; set of eternally applicable rules; things written down. Also the Books, Codes, Commandments and Prohibitions)
- قَيِّمَةٌ — Quy-yay-mauh — Set up well (= (= Accurate, appropriate, clear, correct, manifest, proper, perpetual and straight application as directed by Allah.
Eternally applicable set of rules of everlasting value. Firm Commandments of lasting application. Lasting. Rightly mandate. The straight laws. Well-established)
