The Holy Qor-aan 005:053
فَتَـرَى الَّذِيۡنَ فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ مَّرَضٌ يُّسَارِعُوۡنَ فِيۡهِمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ نَخۡشٰٓى اَنۡ تُصِيۡبَـنَا دَآٮِٕرَةٌ ؕ فَعَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِىَ بِالۡفَتۡحِ اَوۡ اَمۡرٍ مِّنۡ عِنۡدِهٖ فَيُصۡبِحُوۡا عَلٰى مَاۤ اَسَرُّوۡا فِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ نٰدِمِيۡنَ ؕ
Fa-ta-rul-la-zee-na-fee-qo-loo-bay-him-ma-ra-dzoon Yo-saa-ray-oo-na-fee-him-ya-qoo-loo-na Nukh-shaa-un-to-see-ba-naa-daa-aiy-ra-toon
Fa-aa-sul-laa-ho-un-yau-tay-ya-bil-fut-hay Auo-um-rin-min-in-day-he-fa-yoos-bay-hoo Alaa-maa-aa-sur-roo-fee-un-fo-say-him-naa-day-mee-n
So you see in their hearts a sickness. Hurrying among themselves they say, “We fear that a change will strike us.”
So maybe Allah comes with the victory Or some order from Him so that they become Regretful on what they hid in their minds.

- ٱلَّذِينَ — Ul-la-zee-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those persons)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Amidst. Among. Contained or inside a duration, event, place, period, person, phenomenon, situation, thing or time. Also, about; concerning; in reference, regarding, relative to. See Note at 002:028)
- قُلُوۡبِ — Qo-loo-bay — Hearts (= n., pl., Refers to the ability to think, choose, decide and act in an appropriate manner physically and spiritually. Inner soul. Understanding. A/t/a, ‘hearts’ and ‘mind’ )
- هِمۡ — Him — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they. A/t/a ‘whose’)
- مَّرَضٌ — Ma-ra-dzoon — Sickness (= n., pl. Disease, illness or infirmity of doubt, suspicion or uncertainty. A/t/a, ‘are diseased,’ ‘a disease (of hypocrisy)’ and ‘the faint-hearted’)
- يُسَارِعُوۡنَ — Yo-saa-ray-oo-na — Hurrying (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Enthusiastically doing the job that has to be done; hastening to outdo; swiftly carrying out the assigned task; vying with each other; quickly. A/t/a, ‘How eagerly they run about,’ ‘hastening,’ ‘hastening to woo them,’ ‘race,’ ‘vying one with another’ and ‘hurry’)
- فِىۡ — Fee — Among (= Amidst. Among. Contained or inside. See فِىۡ above. A/t/a, ‘Amongst’ and ‘towards’)
- هِمۡ — Him — Themselves (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men. See هِمۡ above. A/t/a, ‘them (- the Jews and Christians to take them for allies’)
- يَقُولُونَ — Ya-qoo-loo-na — They say (= v., pres., pl., m., 3rd person. Announce; broadcast; call; claim; contest; convey; declare; elaborate; explain; expound; inform; insist; present; profess; specify; speak; state; submit; tell; utter. A/t/a, ‘saying to themselves in justification’ and ‘saying’)
- نَخۡشٰٓى — Nukh-shaa — We fear (= v., pres., pl., 1st person. Are afraid; apprehend; feel scared. A/t/a, ‘We do fear’ and ‘We fear’)
- اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that. A/t/a, ‘lest’)
- تُصِيۡبَ — To-see-ba — Strike (= v., pres., f., 3rd person. Arrive; reach; smite; strike. A/t/a, ‘bring … disaster,’ ‘befall,’ ‘should befall us,’ ‘may befall us’ and ‘afflicts’)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., m/g., pl., 1st person. Our; Us)
- دَآٮِٕرَةٌ — Daa-aiy-ra-toon — Change (= n., Refers to punishment that follows every wrong by way of a circulation, rotation or on the basis what goes around comes around. A/t/a, ‘change of fortune,’ ‘calamity,’ ‘misfortune,’ ‘change of fortune’ and ‘misfortune of a disaster’)

- عَسٰۤى — Aa-sa … (ul) — Maybe (= It could happen; maybe; peradventure; perchance; perhaps, quite close; very near. Also, soon in near future. A/t/a, ‘Maybe,’ ‘may happen that,’ ‘it is well nigh,’ ‘perhaps … may’ and ‘when’)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that)
- يَّاۡتِىَ — Yau-tay-ya — Comes (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Arrives; reaches. A/t/a, ‘will give (Thee),’ ‘vouchsafe (unto thee),’ ‘will bring about,’ ‘will bring,’ ‘grants’ and ‘may bring’)
- بِ — Bay … (il) — With (= Literally the word بِ means with)
- الۡفَتۡحِ — Fut-hay — Victory (= n., Conquest; success; triumph; winning. A/t/a, ‘victory’ and ‘help’)
- اَوۡ — Auo — Or (= Alternatively; in substitution)
- اَمۡرٍ — Um-rin — Order (= n., Decree; order; judgment; verdict A/t/a, ‘a decision,’ ‘a commandment,’ ‘some other event … favourable to you,’ ‘some other event,’ ‘some other (more remarkable) event (in favour of Islam,’ ‘solution’ and ‘makes known’)
- مِّنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon. A/t/a, for this and the next word, ‘according to’)
- عِنۡدِ — In-day — From (= At hand; from; in close proximity; within the presence, seeing or sight of. A/t/a, ‘presence’ and ‘will’)
- هٖ — He — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to God. A/t/a, ‘Himself’)

A/t/a, ‘hid,’ ‘they keep hidden,’ ‘concealed,’ ‘they secretly Harboured’ and ‘they have been keeping as a secret.’ But ‘secret thoughts’ and ‘secret plans’ which are nouns are no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb)

- اَنۡفُسِ — Un-fo-say — Minds (= n., pl., Persons; selves; souls. A/t/a, ‘hearts,’ ‘hearts (hypocrisy),’ ‘minds,’ ‘thoughts’ and ‘themselves’)
- هِمۡ — Him –Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; their)
- نٰدِمِيۡنَ — Naa-day-mee-n — Regretful (= n., pl. Those who are ashamed, regretful or remorseful, ‘more remorseful (and ashamed of)’ and ‘full of regret.’ A/t/a, ‘repent,’ ‘regret’ and ‘become regretful’ which are verbs in the past tense are no translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a noun)
