The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                 006:162

 

قُلۡ اِنَّنِىۡ هَدٰٮنِىۡ رَبِّىۡۤ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ۚ  دِيۡنًا قِيَمًا مِّلَّةَ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ حَنِيۡفًا‌  ۚ  وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ‏ 

 

Qool-in-na-nee-ha-daa-nee-rub-bee-elaa-say-raa-tim-moos-ta-qee-m                                    De-nun-qay-yaa-mum-mil-la-ta-ib-raa-he-ma-ha-nee-faa                                                        Wa-maa-kaa-na-may-nul-moosh-ray-kee-n

 

Say, “Surely my God has guided me to the right Road                                                  The religion that established the nation of Abraham, the Righteous.                      And he was not among the idolaters.

 

  • قُلۡ — Qool — You say (= v., pres., s., 2nd person.   Announce; call; convey; deliver;  elaborate; explain; expound; inform; instruct; proclaim; profess; state; specify; tell. See Commentary ‘You Say’ means ,,, A/t/a, ‘Affirm:’ and ‘Say (O Muhammad s.a.w)’
  • اِنَّ — In-na  — Surely (= Absolutely; clearly, certainly, decidedly; definitely;  doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘As for me, surely’ and ‘Lo! As for’)
  • نِىۡ — Nee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • هَدٰ — Ha-daa — Guided (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Put on proper path; set on right road)
  • نِىۡ — Nee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • رَبِّ — Rub-b… (ee) — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
  • ىۡ — Ee — My (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • اِلَى  — Elaa — To (= In the direction of; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘unto’)
  • صِراطٍ‏  — Say-raa-t … (im) — Road (= Course; direction; lines; path; route; way. See 001:006)
  • مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ — Moos-ta-qee-m — Right (= Appropriate; best; correct; proper; straight. See 002;143. A/t/a, ‘right,’ ‘exact straight’ and ‘Way that is straight’)
  • دِيۡنًا — Dee-nun — Religion (= n., Belief system. Divine Rules. Faith. See Commentary Islam – 106 – Religion Established Nation … )
  • قِيَمًا — Qay-yaa-mun — Established (= adv., Firmed up; produced; solidifyied. A/t/a, ‘the perfect,’ ‘of right,’ ‘right,’ ‘the right,’ ‘upright religion,’ ‘the ever true’ and ‘the straight’)

The text in next three (3) words is repeated in verse 002:136, 003:096, 004:126, 006:162)

  • مِلَّةَ — Mil-la-ta —  Nation (= n. Followers; lifestyle; sure-footed and well-dug way of Life. A/t/a, ‘faith,’ ‘The Path (trod),’ ‘religion and ‘the community’)
  • اِبۡرٰهٖمَ — Ib-raa-he-ma — Abraham (= The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah)
  • حَنِيۡفًا — Ha-nee-fa — Righteous (= adj., One who was forever focused on worshipping the  Almighty God Alone. Bent, inclined and turned towards worshipping the One and the Only One God. Upright. A/t/a, ‘The true in Faith,’ ‘the upright one,’ ‘the upright,’ ‘a man of pure faith,’ ‘saintly’ and ‘Hanifa [.e. the true Islamic Monotheism to believe in One God (allah i.e. to worship none but Allah , Alone)’

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — Never (= Absolutely not; no; not at all)
  • كَانَ — Kaa-na — Had been (= v., Conveys continuation from the past to the present to the future. A/t/a, ‘was’)
  • مِنَ  — May-n…(ul) — Among (= From the class, category, count, kind, persons or out of.  A/t/a, ‘of’)
  • الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ — Moosh-ray-keen — The idolaters (= n., m., pl., Those who set up equals, partners, peers etc., with the Almighty God. Men who ascribe or associate and worship imaginary gods with the Almighty God. Unbelieving pagan men. See Note 004:037.  A/t/a, ‘those who associate gods with Allah,’ and ‘who join gods with God.’ But ‘he (certainly) Joined … gods with God’  is a verb and is not a translation of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a noun)
