The Holy Qor-aan 007:051
وَنَادٰٓى اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِ اَصۡحٰبَ الۡجَـنَّةِ اَنۡ اَفِيۡضُوۡا عَلَيۡنَا مِنَ الۡمَآءِ اَوۡ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ ؕ قَالُـوۡۤا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الۡـكٰفِرِيۡنَ ۙ
Wa naa-daa aus-haa-boon naa-ray aus-haa-bo ol-jaun-na-tay Aun aa-fee-dzoo aa-lai naa may-na aul-maa-ay Auo mim-maa ra-za-qa ko-mo ol-laa-ho Qaa-loo in-na ul-laa-ha haur-ra-ma ho-maa aa-la ul-kaa-fa-ree-n
And the inmates of Fire called the people of Paradise That they pour down “On us some of the water Or with what Allah has provided you.” They said, “Allah has prohibited that upon the disbelievers.”

- نَادٰٓى — Naa-daa — Called (= v., past., pl., 1st person. Announced. Called. Cried out aloud. Conveyed. Screamed. Shouted. A/t/a, ‘will call,’ ‘will call out,’ ‘shall call out,’ ‘will cry’ in the future tense, and ‘call out’ and ‘cry out unto’ in the present tense is no translations of the Holy Qor-aan text in the past tense. - اَصۡحٰبَ — Aus-haa-ba … (un) — Inmates (= n., pl., Associates; companions; residents. See Phrase O-laa-aiy-ka aus-haa-bo on-naar … for more meanings. A/t/a, ‘companions,’ ‘inmates,’ ‘dwellers,’ ‘Fellows,’ ‘inhabitants’ and ‘the damned’)
- النَّارِ — Naa-ray — Fire (= Rapid sustained chemical reaction releasing heat and light. Also, a source for light and heat)
- اَصۡحٰبُ Aus-haa-bo … (ol) People (= n., pl., Associates; companions; residents. See Phrase O-laa-aiy-ka aus-haa-bo ol-jaun-nah … for more meanings. A/t/a, ‘companions,’ ‘owners,’ ‘inmates,’ dwellers’ and ‘the blessed’)
- الۡجَـنَّةَ — Jaun-na-tay — The Paradise (= n., s., Big grove; Coppice. Garden of everlasting beauty and greenery. Place of peace and tranquility. A/t/a, ‘Garden’ and ‘Heaven’)
- اَنۡ — Aun — That (= So that)
- اَفِيۡضُوۡا — Aa-fee-dzoo — They pour (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Decant; discharge; drizzle; dispense; empty; flow; pour; share; throw; transfer. A/t/a, ‘pour down,’ ‘pour,’ ‘pour out’ and ‘give’)
- عَلَيۡ — Alai — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; you; upon. A/t/a, ‘to’ and ‘on’)
- نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; Us. Used with God’s name this plural is the authoritative way a higher-up talks)
- مِنَ — May-na … (ul) — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon. A/t/a, ‘some’)
- الۡمَآءِ — Maa-aiy –Water (= n., H2O; water)
- اَوۡ — Auo — Or (= Alternatively; in substitution)
- مِّمَّا — Mim-maa — Out of what (= Combination of two words. مِنۡ (min) means from and مَاۤ (maa) means all that, what, whatever or whatsoever. A/t/a, ‘anything,’ of that which,’ ‘of that wherewith,’ ‘give us something out of that which’ and ‘(give us) … of that which’)
- رَزَقَ — Ra-za-qa — Provided (= v. past., pl., 3rd person. Bestowed; blessed; conferred; delivered; donated; furnished; gave; gifted; granted; supplied. A/t/a, ‘provided for,’ ‘provided with,’ ‘provided,’ ‘hath provided,’ ‘has bestowed upon’ and ‘has given you.’ But ‘doth provide for … sustenance’ in the present tense has not translated the Holy Qor-aan text in the past tense. - كُمُ — Ko-mo … (ol) — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You men. The Holy Qor-aan has often used this word for both men and women jointly)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- قَالُـوۡۤا — Qaa-loo — They said (= v., past, s., m., 3rd person. Announced; replied; called; conveyed; declared; informed; explained; told. See 002:031. A/t/a, ‘They say,’ ‘They will say,’ ‘they will answer’ and ‘the blessed shall reply’ but stating all that with a verb in the future tense is no translation of the Holy Qor-aan Text in the past tense. - اِنَّ — In-na … (ul) — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘Lo!’)
- ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- حَرَّمَ — Haur-ra-ma — He Prohibited (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Banned; barred; disallowed; disapproved; excluded; forbidden; interdicted; made illegal; outlawed; not permitted; proscribed; stopped. Unauthorized. A/t/a, ‘hath forbidden’ and ‘has forbidden.’ See Note 003:118)
- هُمَا — Ho-maa — Those two (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to foresaid two people. A/t/a, ‘both these things,’ ‘them both,’ ‘both (water and provision),’ ‘those both,’ ‘both’ and ‘all that’)
- عَلٰى — Alaa … (ul) — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon. A/t/a, ‘to’)
- الۡـكٰفِرِيۡنَ — Kaa-fay-ree-n — Ungrateful (= n., pl. Those who denied, disbelieved, disclaimed, failed to acknowledge, lacked Faith, rejected Iss-laam and God Almighty or were thankless and ungrateful. See our Commentary Believe and Disbelieve.
