اِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الۡاَرۡضَ فِىۡ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰى عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِ يُغۡشِى الَّيۡلَ النَّهَارَ يَطۡلُبُهٗ حَثِيۡثًا ۙ وَّالشَّمۡسَ وَالۡقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُوۡمَ مُسَخَّرٰتٍۢ بِاَمۡرِهٖ ؕ اَلَا لَـهُ الۡخَـلۡقُ وَالۡاَمۡرُ‌ ؕ تَبٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ

 

In-na  raub-ba  ko-mo  ol-laa-ho  ul-la-ze                                                                                      Kha-la-qa  us-sa-maa-waa-tay  wa  ul-aur-dza                                                                          Fee  sit-ta-tay  auy-yaa-min                                                                                                        Thoom-ma  aus-ta-waa  aa-la  ul-aur-shay

Yoogh-shay  l-lai-la  un-na-haa-ra                                                                                              Yaut-lo-bo  hoo  ha-thee-thaa                                                                                                                Wa  ush-shaum-sa  wa  ul-qa-ma-ra  wa  un-na-joo-ma                                                          Mo-saukh-kha-raa-tin  bay  aum-ray  he

Aa-laa  la  ho  ol-khaul-qo  wa  ul-aum-ro                                                                                        Ta-baa-ra-ka  ul-laa-ho  raub-bo  ol-aa-la-mee-n

 

Certainly your Lord is Allah He Who                                                                              Created the heavens and earth                                                                                                In six days                                                                                                                              Then He settled Himself on the Top.

The night covers by coming after the day                                                                      Seeking it instantaneously                                                                                                         And the Sun and the Moon and the Stars are                                                                    Pressed into service with His Command.                                                     

Does not the Creation and the Command belong to Him?                                      Blessed is Allah, the Lord Provider to the Universes.

 

  • اِنَّ — In-na — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly; Indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ‘Lo’ and ‘As a matter of fact’)
  • رَبَّ — Raub-ba — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all creatures. Cherisher. Creator. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. See 001:002. A/t/a, ‘Guardian Lord’)
  • كُمُ — Ko-mo … (ol) — Your (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You men. The Holy Qor-aan has      often used this word for both men and women jointly)
  • اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • الَّذِىۡ — La-zee — He who (= s., m., 3rd person. Article, thing, person or phenomenon in masculine gender)
  • خَلَقَ — Kha-la-qa … (us) — He created (= v., past., m., s., 3rd person. Brought into being; created from a scratch and out of nothing before; formed; gave forms and faces in due proportions; originated; produced; shaped. See 003:060)
  • السَّمٰوٰتِ — Sa-maa-waa-tay — The Heavens (= n., pl., All above ground or earth; clouds; firmament; heavens; rain; skies; universe. Also, knowledge of astronomical objects in space)
  • وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • الۡاَرۡضَ — Aur-dza — The Earth (= 1. Area; country; earth; ground; land; soil; territory 2. Life on earth. 3. Nation; people or society in general)
  • فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Among. Inside a person or place. See Note 002:028)
  • سِتَّةِ — Sit-ta — Six (= Numerical number 5+1)
  • اَيَّامٍ — Auy-yaa-min — Days (= n., pl., End of several periods, terms or times; junctures. A/t/a, ‘periods,’ ‘aeons’ and at the same time’ and ‘periods of time’)
  • ثُمَّ — Thoom-ma … (us) — Then (= After that; further more; subsequently; thereafter)
  • اسۡتَوٰى — Aus-ta-wa — Settled (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Inhibited. Landed. Perched. Remained. Resolved. Settled. Stayed. A/t/a,  ‘He settled Himself,’ ‘settled Himself firmly,’ ‘mounted He,’ ‘He rose over,’ ‘is well established,’ ‘is established,’ ‘is  firmly established’ and ‘ascended’)
  • عَلٰى — Aa-laa … (ul) — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon)
  • الۡعَرۡش — Aul-ur-sha — The Top (= s., The Top. The Controlling or Controller’s Seat.   The Center of power. The Throne in which the control of everything converges. . A/t/a, ‘Throne,’ ‘Throne of Power,’ ‘Throne of Authority,’ ‘Throne (Of authority),’ ‘Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty)’ and ‘His throne’)
  • يُغۡشِى — Yough-sh … (il) — Settling down (= v., pres., m., 3rd person., Covering; enshrouding;  inducting; overcoming; overlapping; overpowering; overtaking; settling; taking over. A/t/a, ‘He draweth … as a veil,’ He makes … cover,’ ‘He covers,’ ’He brings … as a cover over’ and ‘He throws the veil of’)
  • الَّيۡلَ — Lai-la … (un) — The night (= n., s., Absence of sunlight; the opposite of a sunlit    day period of darkness between the sunset and next sunrise. nighttime; nightly hours)
  • النَّهَارَ — Na-haa-ra — The day (= n., s., The sun-lit period between one sunrise and      the immediately following sunset. A/t/a, ‘over the day’)
  • يَطۡلُبُ — Yaut-lo-bo — Seeking (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Chasing; going after; pursuing; wanting to catch up. A/t/a, ‘seeking,’ ‘pursues,’ ‘which it pursues,’ ‘each seeking the other,’ ‘which is … to follow,’ ‘which follows (the night,)’ ‘which is … to follow it’ and ‘they follow one another’)
  • حَثِيۡثًا — Ha-thee-thaa — Instantaneously (= adv., Fast; hastily; hurriedly; nippily; quickly; rashly;  speedily.  A/t/a, ‘swiftly,’ ‘in haste,’ ‘rapidly,’ ‘incessantly’ and ‘in rapid succession’)
  • وَّ — Wa … (ush) — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above.  A/t/a, ‘And He created, ‘and (He created)’ and ‘It was He who created’)
  • الشَّمۡسَ — Shaum-sa — The Sun (= n., The bright astronomical object or star located at the center of our solar system around which the Earth and eight other planets orbit and from which they receive their light and heat. The unending source of light, heat and energy necessary for life and vegetation on earth)
  • وَ — Wa … (ul)  — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses. See  وَ  above)
  • الۡقَمَرَ — Aul-qa-ma-ra — The Moon (= n., Physically an astronomical body that orbits the Earth. Spiritually, a body that reflects the Divine light that another person had received from God)
  • وَ — Wa … (un)  — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above. )
  • النُّجُوۡمَ — Na-joo-ma — The Stars (= pl., The source of faint lights. The gaseous masses in space that generate energy by thermonuclear reactions, e.g., sun. Innumerable astronomical objects which are visible as tiny bright but flickering points of light in sky  and collectively provide a dim glow on clear nights)
  • مُسَخَّرٰتٍۢ — Mo-saukh-kha-raa-tin — Pressed into service (= n., pl., Bound down. Connected. Harnessed. Hitched. Subordinated. Yoked in. A/t/a, ‘all made subservient,’ ‘all subservient (to mankind),’ ‘all subservient to His command,’ ‘(All) governed by laws,’ ‘hath made … subservient,’ ‘made subservient,’ ‘subjected to’ and ‘forced them into His service’)
  • بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ  means with. A/t/a, ‘by’ and ‘under’)
  • اَمۡرِ — Aum-ray — Command (= n., s., 1. Authority; command; control; decision;              decree; direction; instruction; judgment; order; responsibility; rule. 2. Affair; issue; matter; situation. See Note 002:211)
  • هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty Allah)
  • اَلَا — Aa-laa — Isn’t it (= This word combines two words. The first  اَ  (aa) is used to ask a question as with are, can, could, do, did, have,  had, is, shell, should, was, will, would, what, etc. The  second لَا (laa) is a word of denial that means no, not, none, neither, never, naught, etc. Together as one word it means is it not or isn’t it, was it not or wasn’t it, absolutely, positively, surely or verily, etc., or to warn such as with beware, listen, pay attention or remember. A/t/a, ‘Is it not,’ ‘Verily,’ ‘Herken’ and ‘Surely’)
  • لَ — La — For (= Belonging to. In the control of. For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; on account of; concerning; regarding; relative to. A/t/a, ‘is’ and ‘to’)
  • هٗ  — Hoo — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty Allah. A/t/a, ‘His,’ ‘His is’ and ‘His is all’)
  • الۡخَـلۡقُ — Khaul-qo — The creation (= n., Creation.; creatures. A/t/a, ‘creation’ and ‘to create’)
  • وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
  • الۡاَمۡرُ — Aum-ro — The Command (= n., s., Authority; control; decision; judgment; order. See اَمۡرِ above. A/t/a, ‘regulation,’ ‘commandment’ and ‘to govern’)
  • تَبٰرَكَ — Ta-ba-ra-ka … (ul) — Blessed (= adj., Consecrated; hallowed; holy; sacred; sanctified. A/t/a, ‘Blessed,’ ’Blessed be’ and ‘Full of  blessings’)
  • اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • رَبُّ — Raub-bo … (il) — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah. See  رَبَّ  above. A/t/a, ‘the Cherisher And Sustainer’)
  • الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ‏  — Aa-la-meen — The Universe   (= n., pl., As an attribute of God Almighty the word implies no limits. It means the Universe, all His creations, all that exists in the whole Universe, all that has life, and Mankind. See 001:002. A/t/a, ‘the worlds,’  and ‘Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists)’
