The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                   002:010

يُخٰدِعُوۡنَ اللّٰهَ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ‌ۚ وَمَا يَخۡدَعُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَؕ‏

Yo-kha-day-oo-na  ul-laa-ha  wa  ul-la-ze-na  aa-ma-no
Wa  maa  yaukh-da-oon-na  il-laa  aun-fo-sa  hoom
Wa  maa  yaush-o-roo-n

They deceive Allah and those who have believed.
And they never deceive anyone except themselves.
And they never realize.

• يُخٰدِعُوۡنَ — Yo-khaa-day-oo-na … (ul) — Deceive (= v., pres., pl., 3^rd person. Beguile. Cheat. Fake. Mislead. Feign. Pretend. Sham. Try to do all aforesaid acts)
• ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha  — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
• وَ — Wa … (ul) — And(= Conj., Links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; also; but; moreover; though; when; while; whereupon; yet)
• الَّذِيۡنَ — Aul-la-ze-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3^rd person. Refers to those articles, persons,   phenomenon or things)
• اٰمَنُوۡا — Aa-ma-noo — They Believed (= v., past., pl., 3^rd person. Believed in the Holy Qor-aan. Became Moslems. Accepted Iss-laam. Admitted to be Moslem. For more meanings see Commentary Believe and Disbelieve)
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases. See وَ  above)
• مَاۤ — Maa — Never  (= Absolutely not; no; not at all; never)
• يَخۡدَعُوۡنَ — Yaukh-da-oo-na — Deceive (= v., pres., pl., 3^rd person. Beguile. See يُخٰدِعُوۡنَ above)
• اِلَّاۤ — Il-laa — Except (= Apart from; besides; excluding; nothing but; save; unless)
• اَنۡفُسَ — Aun-fo-sa — Selves (= n., An individual’s heart, life; mind; person; self; soul. See Note 002010 below)
• هُمۡ — Hoom — Themselves (= pro., pl., m., 3^rd person. They; theirs)
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Connects words, phrases. See وَ  above)
• مَاۤ — Maa — Never (= Absolutely not; no; not at all; never)
• يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ  — Yaush-o-roo-n — They realize (= v., pres., pl., 3^rd person. Appreciate. Apprehend. Be aware and conscious. Comprehend. Get. Grasp. Perceive. Realize. Understand)

** Note 002:010: This noun in the plural means selves or soul. It has been used in several others contexts as well including the following.

1. Individual’s heart, life, mind, person, self or soul.
2. Brethren;. Countrymen. Kinsman. Nation. Tribe. Tribesmen.
3. Folks. Followers. Individuals. People.
4. The loved ones.
