Verses 026:070 to 072
The Holy Qor-aan 026:070
وَاتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَاَ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَۘ
Wut-lo-alai-him-na-ba-aa-ib-raa-he-ma
Read them the story of Abraham.
- وَ — Wa … (ut) And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- اتۡلُ — Ut-lo — You read (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. Describe; convey; give; narrate; recite; relate; report; sing; state; tell. A/t/a, ‘rehearse’ and ‘recount’)

- هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
- نَبَاَ — Na-ba-aa — Story (= n., Announcement; event; happening; information; news occurrence; story; tale; tiding. A/t/a, ‘account,’ ‘important event’ and ‘(something) … story)’
- اِبۡرٰهٖمَ — Ib-raa-he-ma — Abraham (= The name of a Messenger / Prophet of Allah. A/t/a, ‘(of the life) of Abraham’)

The Holy Qor-aan 026:071
اِذۡ قَالَ لِاَبِيۡهِ وَقَوۡمِهٖ مَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ
Iz-qaa-la-lay-aa-be-hay-wa-qao-may-he-maa-tau-bo-do-n
When he said to his father and his people, “What is that you worship?”

- لِ — Lay — To (= For the person, purpose or reason of; intended or meant for; concerning; relative to. A/t/a, ‘unto’)
- أَبِى — Abee — Father (= n., Master; owner; person with power over. A/t/a, ‘sire’)
- هِ — Hay — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to Prophet Abraham)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
- قَوۡمٍ — Qao-min — People (= n., s., Addressees; attendees; fellows; followers; folks; nation; party; people; tribe. A/t/a, ‘folk’)
- هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to Prophet Abraham)
- مَا — Maa — What (= All that; whatever; whatsoever. A/t/a, ‘What things are those which’ and ‘what is that’)
- تَعۡبُدُونَ — Tau-bo-do-na — You worship (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Who, what and how you worship. The person, the manner, the method or the way you appreciate, praise, serve and think what you worship. A/t/a, ‘do you worship,’ ‘worship ye’ and ‘you worship’)

The Holy Qor-aan 026:072
قَالُوۡا نَـعۡبُدُ اَصۡنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عٰكِفِيۡنَ
Qaa-loo-nau-bo-do-us-naa-mun-fa-na-zool-lo-aa-kay-fee-n
They said, “We worship statutes. Therefore, we remain devotees for them.”
- قَالُوۡا — Qaa-loo — They said (= v., past, pl., m., 3rdperson: All those men announced; called; declared; told. See Notes 112:002 and our Commentary ‘You say’ means …’ A/t/a, ‘replied’ and ‘said they’)
- نَعۡبُدُ — Nau-bo-do — We worship (= v. pres., pl., 1st person. Extol; praise; serve; thank. Manner, method, person, way and what we worship)
- اَصۡنَامًا — Us-naa-mun– Statutes (= n., pl., Dolls; idols; physically man-made deities. A/t/a, ‘idols’)
- فَ — Fa — Therefore (= After all this; as a result; at the end; consequently; hence; in conclusion; in conclusion resultantly; so; then; thereafter; therefore; thus; yet. A/t/a, ‘and’)
- نَظَلُّ — Na-zool-lo — We remain (= v., pres., pl., 1st person. Continue. A/t/a, ‘we sit,’ ‘we shall remain,’ ‘we shall continue,’ ‘we remain constantly,’ ‘will remain constantly,’ ‘are ever’ and ‘we continue’)
- لَ — La — For (= For the person, purpose or reason of; intended or meant for; concerning; relative to. A/t/a, ‘before’)
- هَا — Haa — Them (= pro., s., f., 3rd person., Refers to aforesaid group of idols)
- عٰكِفِيۡنَ– Aa-kay-fee-n — Devotees (= n., pl. Dedicated; devout. A/t/a, ‘devoted to them,’ ‘in devotion,’ ‘to be devoted,’ ‘in attendance’ and ‘worship with devotion’)
006:071
The Holy Qor-aan 006:071
وَذَرِ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّخَذُوۡا دِيۡنَهُمۡ لَعِبًا وَّلَهۡوًا وَّغَرَّتۡهُمُ الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا وَ ذَكِّرۡ بِهٖۤ اَنۡ تُبۡسَلَ نَفۡسٌ ۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡۖ لَـيۡسَ لَهَا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ وَلِىٌّ وَّلَا شَفِيۡعٌ ۚ وَاِنۡ تَعۡدِلۡ كُلَّ عَدۡلٍ لَّا يُؤۡخَذۡ مِنۡهَا ؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُبۡسِلُوۡا بِمَا كَسَبُوۡا ۚ لَهُمۡ شَرَابٌ مِّنۡ حَمِيۡمٍ وَّعَذَابٌ اَ لِيۡمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡفُرُوۡنَ
Wa-za-ril-la-zee-nut-ta-kha-zoo-dee-na-hoom-la-aiy-bun-wa-luh-wun Wa-ghur-rut-ho-mool-ha-yaa-tood-doon-yaa Wa-zuk-kir-bay-he-un-toob-sul-nuf-soon-bay-maa-ka-sa-but
Lai-sa-la-haa-min-do-nil-laa-hay-wa-lee-yoon-wa-laa-sha-fee-oon Wa-in-tau-dil-koo-la-ud-lin-laa-yoe-kha-zo-min-haa O-laa-e-kul-la-zee-nub-say-loo-bay-maa-ka-sa-boo La-hoom-sha-raa-boon-min-ha-me-min-wa Azaa-boon-alee-moon-bay-maa-kaa-noo-yuk-fo-roo-n
And you leave those who took their religion as a sport and pastime, And whom the present life had beguiled, And with it you remind them lest a soul is crushed for what it earned.
For it none besides Allah is a real friend or intercessor. And if offered every compensation, it won’t be taken from it. These are those who were crushed because of what they earned. For them is a drink of boiling water and A painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.
