The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                  004:109

 

  يَّسۡتَخۡفُوۡنَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يَسۡتَخۡفُوۡنَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمۡ اِذۡ يُبَيِّتُوۡنَ مَا لَا يَرۡضٰى مِنَ الۡقَوۡلِ   ‌ؕ  وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ مُحِيۡطًا‏

 

Yus-tukh-foo-na-may-nun-naa-say                                                                                                  Wa-laa-yus-tukh-foo-na-may-nul-laa-hay                                                                                  Wa-ho-wa-ma-aa-hoom-iz-yo-buy-yay-too-na                                                                      Maa-laa-yur-dzaa-may-nul-qao-lay                                                                                                Wa-kaa-nul-laa-ho-bay-maa-tau-ma-loo-na-mo-hee-taa

 

They try concealing from the people                                                                                    And can’t conceal from Allah                                                                                                And He is with them when they spend nights                                                                Saying words that He never likes                                                                                        And Allah has always been One Who rounds up all that they do 

  

  •  يَّسۡتَخۡفُوۡنَ — Yus-tukh-foo-na — Concealing (= v., pres., m., 3rd person. Go into hiding; hide; keep secret; screen; veil. A/t/a, ‘They may hide (Their crimes),’ ‘seek to hide,’ ‘seek to hide their designs,‘ ‘seek to hide their crimes)’ and ‘hide their conspiracy’)

  • النَّاسِ — Un-naa-say — The people (= n., Factions; folks; human beings; mankind; men;  nations; tribes. Groups of men, nations or tribes. A/t/a,’men’ )
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but;  also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • لَا — Laa — Can’t (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute denial and total negation without exception. A/t/a, ‘cannot’)

  • يُبَيِّتُوۡنَ — Yo-buy-yay-too-na — Spend night (= v., pres., pl., m., 3rd person. Do, pursue or use in or during the night.   • الۡقَوۡلِ — Qao-lay — Saying words (= n., Announcing; speaking; telling. A/t/a, ‘in words,’  ‘about matters,’ ‘hold discourses,’ ‘in holding discourses,’ ‘utter’ and ‘words,’ This and the prior word are not even translated by one author)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • كَانَ — Kaa-na…(ul) — Has been (= v., past., s., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; had been; used to; were, went on doing. Indicates the continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future)
  • اللّٰهُ– Laa-ho — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • بِمَا — Bay-maa — With what (= Combination of two words.  بِ  means ‘with / in’ and مَاۤ  means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever.’  The combination بِمَا (bay-maa) means ‘because of; on account of; for the reason; due to; with / in all that’)
  • يَعۡمَلُون — Yau-ma-loo-na — They do (= v., pres., pl., m., 3 rd person. Act; perform; practice; render; are doing. A/t/a, ‘They do,’ and ‘all their actions’ translate as a noun and not what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb)
  • مُحِيۡطًا‏ — Mo-he-taa — One Who rounds up (= n., One who encircles, encompasses, herds together, rounds up or surrounds. The word implies a shepherd who rounds up all his cattle from getting lost. A/t/a, ‘doth compass round,’ ‘encompasses,’ ‘encompasses … (until He puts an end to their evil ways,’ ‘will bring to naught,’ ‘ever surroundeth’ and ‘has knowledge,’ but translating that as a verb is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a noun)

The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                        004:108

 

 وَلَا تُجَادِلۡ عَنِ الَّذِيۡنَ يَخۡتَانُوۡنَ اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ‌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنۡ كَانَ خَوَّانًا اَثِيۡمًا ۙ‌ ۚ‏

 

Wa-laa-to-jaa-dil-aa-nil-la-ze-na-yakh-taa-noo-na-un-fo-sa-hoom                                    In-nul-laa-ha-laa-yo-hib-bo-mun-kaa-na-khuw-waa-nun-aa-thee-maa

 

And never argue in vain for those who deceive themselves                                    Surely Allah never loves who has been very dishonest, great sinner

  • يَخۡتَانُوۡنَ  — Yaukh-taa-noo-na — Deceive (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Who continually … bamboozle, bilk, cheat, con, deceive; defraud, dupe, swindle, trick or behave corruptly, dishonestly or insincerely. A/t/a ‘betray,’ ‘act dishonestly towards,’ and ‘deceive.’ But the translation ‘those who are dishonest’ and ‘those who are unfaithful’ as a noun is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated with a verb in the present tense)

 وَّاسۡتَغۡفِرِ اللّٰهَ‌ ؕ  اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ غَفُوۡرًا رَّحِيۡمًا‌ ۚ‏

 

Wus-tugh-fay-ril-laa-ha-in-nul-laa-ha                                                                                            Kaa-na-gha-foo-rur-ra-hee-maa

 

Ask forgiveness of Allah. Certainly Allah                                                                      Has always been Very Forgiving, Very Merciful

 

  • وَ — Wa…(us) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)

  • غَفُوۡرًا– Gha-foo-rur — Very Forgiving (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Who excuses, overlooks and pardons. Forgiving for the past and protecting  in the future from crimes, errors, faults, sins and wrongs. A/t/a, ‘All Forgiving,’ ‘Ever Forgiving,’  Most Forgiving,’            ‘Oft-Forgiving’ and ‘Great Protector’)
  • رَّحِيۡمًا‌ — Ra-hee-maa — Very Merciful (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him shows mercy again and again, continually, incessantly and indefinitely like the  endlessly and perpetually incoming waves from the oceans; Merciful Forever. A/t/a, ‘All-Merciful,’ ‘Ever Merciful,’ ‘Most Merciful’ and ‘Merciful’)

 اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ بِالۡحَـقِّ لِتَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَ النَّاسِ بِمَاۤ اَرٰٮكَ اللّٰهُ‌  ؕ  وَلَا تَكُنۡ لِّـلۡخَآٮِٕنِيۡنَ خَصِيۡمًا   

 

In-naa-un-zul-naa-elai-kul-kay-taa-ba-bil-huq-qay                                                                      Lay-tah-ko-ma-bai-nun-naa-sbay-maa-araa-kul-laa-ho                                                          Wa-laa-ta-koom-lil-khaa-aiy-ne-na-kha-see-ma

 

We certainly entrusted you the Book with the truth                                                  For you to decide among people with what Allah has shown you                          And don’t ever be a wrangler for the violators of trust

 

  • اِنَّ — In —  Certainly (= Absolutely; definitely; doubtlessly; indeed; positively; really surely; truly; verily)
  • نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our; We; Us. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
  • اَنۡزَلۡ — Un-zul — Entrusted (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Dispatched; gave; granted;  inspired; revealed; handed;. laid; landed; lowered; sent down. See Note 002:005a. A/t/a, ”reveal’ which being in present tense is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the past tense)
  • نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., m & g., pl., 1st person. Our; We. See نَا  above)
  • اِلَيۡ — E-lai — At (= In the direction of; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘unto’)
  • كَ — Ka…(ul) — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message is initially the Holy Prophet s.a.w. A/t/a ‘thee’ and ‘you (O Muhammad s.a.w).’ See the Note in 002:005)
  • الۡكِتٰبَ — Ul-Kay-taa-ba — The Book (= n., The Divine Directive of Commands, Prohibitions   and Regulations. Holy Scripture. See verse 002:003. A/t/a, ‘this perfect Book,’ ‘the Scripture,’  ‘the Book (this Qu’ran)’ and ‘the Book (Qur’an)’)

  • الۡحَـقِّ — (Il)-huq-qay — The Truth (= Appropriate; equitable; exactness; fair; fairness; just;  just cause; justification; justice; justified conduct; preciseness; proper; reasonableness; suitable. Right. The word is also used to mean Islam, the Right Faith.
  • لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, purpose or reason of; intended for; on account of; regarding; relative to; so that. A/t/a, ‘that’)
  • تَحۡكُمَ — Tah-ko-ma — You decide (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Adjudge; adjudicate; arbitrate; do balancing among two or more conflicting interests; do justice; judge; measure; perform as a referee; render services as an umpire; weigh equitably, fairly, justly and properly. One who goes on wrangling advancing meaningless anomalies in contrast to an Advocate who presents facts as they are, Attorney who represents the facts in the best light, or a Pleader who submits a plea. A/t/a, ‘advocate,’ ‘disputer,’ ‘contender,’ ‘partisan’ and ‘pleader.’ But the translations ‘one pleading’ and ‘plead’ as verbs are not of what the Holy Qor-aan has used as a noun)

  وَلَا تَهِنُوۡا فِى ابۡتِغَآءِ الۡقَوۡمِ‌  ؕ اِنۡ تَكُوۡنُوۡا تَاۡلَمُوۡنَ فَاِنَّهُمۡ يَاۡلَمُوۡنَ كَمَا تَاۡلَمُوۡنَ‌ ۚ   وَتَرۡجُوۡنَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ‌  ؕ  وَ كَانَ اللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمًا حَكِيۡمًا ‏ 

 

Wa-laa-ta-hay-noo-fib-tay-ghaa-il-qao-may                                                                                  In-ta-koo-no-tau-la-moo-na-fa-in-na-hoom                                                                                  Yau-la-moo-na-ka-maa-tau-la-moo-n                                                                                              Wa-tar-joo-na-may-nul-laa-hay-maa-laa-yur-joo-n                                                                    Wa-kaa-nul-laa-ho-aa-leemun-ha-kee-maa

 

And never get soft in chasing the hostile people                                                              If you have been agonizing then surely they too                                                              Have been agonizing like you have been agonizing                                                      And you expect from Allah what they do not expect                                                    And Allah has always been All-Knowing, All-Wise

  • ابۡتِغَآءِ — Ib-tay-ghaa-aiy — Chasing (= Aspiring; attempting; desiring; going after; looking for; perverting; pursuing; searching; trying for; wanting and wishing to get. Also, catching, seizing, A/t/a, following, seeking, pursuit, pursuing and ‘seek out’)
  • الۡقَوۡمِ‌ — (il)-Qao-may — People (= n., Nation. Ref is to the enemy or hostile nation. A/t/a,  ‘enemy,’ ‘your enemies,’ ‘those people,’ ‘these people’ and ‘these (hostile) people’)
  • اِنۡ — In — If (= In case; under the circumstances; when; when situation arises; whenever)
  • تَكُوۡنُوۡا — Ta-koo-noo — You have been (= v., past., s., f., 2nd person. Continued doing; had been; used to; were, went on doing. Indicates the continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. A/t/a, ‘ye are’ and ‘you’)
  • تَاۡلَمُوۡنَ — Tau-la-moo-na — You agonizing (= v., pres., 2nd person. Agonizing. Distressing. Bearing, coming across, experiencing, feeling, finding, putting with, suffering or undergoing some affliction, agony, anguish, difficulty, distress, hardship, harshness, pain or misery. Worrying. A/t/a ‘suffering hardship,’ ‘suffering (hardships),’ ‘suffering,’ ‘suffer,’ ‘suffer in the process.’ But ‘you have suffered hardships’ or ‘suffered’ is a translation in the past tense of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the present tense)

  • حَكِيۡمًا‏ — Ha-ke-maa — All-Wise (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Exalted in wisdom. Best Possessor of wisdom. Extremely shrewd Full of wisdom. The Wisest. A/t/a, ‘Wise’ and ‘All-Wise’)

The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                          004:104

 

  فَاِذَا قَضَيۡتُمُ الصَّلٰوةَ فَاذۡكُرُوا اللّٰهَ قِيَامًا وَّقُعُوۡدًا وَّعَلٰى جُنُوۡبِكُمۡ ۚؕ فَاِذَا اطۡمَاۡنَنۡتُمۡ فَاَقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ‌ ۚ اِنَّ الصَّلٰوةَ كَانَتۡ عَلَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ كِتٰبًا مَّوۡقُوۡتًا‏  

 

 Fa-ezaa-qa-dzai-to-moos-sa-laa-ta-fuz-ko-roo-nul-laa-ha                                                      Qay-yaa-mun-wa-qo-oo-dun-wa-alaa-jo-noo-bay                                                                        Fa-ezaa-ut-ma-un-nun-toom-fa-aqee-moos-sa-laa-ta                                                                  In-nus-sa-laa-ta-kaa-nut-alul-moe-may-ne-na                                                                              Kay-taa-bun-mao-qoo-ta

 

 So when you have completed the prayer then remember Allah                              While standing and sitting and on your sides.                                                          And when you have found peace then establish the prayer.                                    Surely the praying has been on the believers is                                                                A Command to be filled punctually

 

Except for the words مَّنَاسِكَکُمۡ  (the 5th and 6th in the verse 002:201) instead of the word  الصَّلٰوةَ (the 5th in 004:104), the words below till the 8th word are the same as in 002:201

  • الصَّلٰوةَ — Sa-laa-ta — The prayer (= The Commandment for the Moslems to pray Five times Daily. Abjectly and earnestly beseeching, requesting or supplicating in worshiping. Praying with full attention and focused mind.   • فَ — Fa…(uz) — Then (= Consequently; as a result; so; thus; therefore; yet)
  • اذۡكُرُوا  Uz-ko-roo(l) — Remember (= v., pl., 2nd person. Attend to; bear in mind; beseech; contemplate; glorify; ponder; praise; pray; reflect. See the Note 002:153. A/t/a, ‘remember’ and ‘celebrate…. praises’)
  • ٱللَّهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)

The following 6 words are the same as in verse 003:192

 وَاِذَا كُنۡتَ فِيۡهِمۡ فَاَقَمۡتَ لَهُمُ الصَّلٰوةَ فَلۡتَقُمۡ طَآٮِٕفَةٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ مَّعَكَ وَلۡيَاۡخُذُوۡۤا اَسۡلِحَتَهُمۡ فَاِذَا سَجَدُوۡا فَلۡيَكُوۡنُوۡا مِنۡ وَّرَآٮِٕكُمۡ وَلۡتَاۡتِ طَآٮِٕفَةٌ اُخۡرٰى لَمۡ يُصَلُّوۡا فَلۡيُصَلُّوۡا مَعَكَ وَلۡيَاۡخُذُوۡا حِذۡرَهُمۡ وَاَسۡلِحَتَهُمۡ‌ ۚ   وَدَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لَوۡ تَغۡفُلُوۡنَ عَنۡ اَسۡلِحَتِكُمۡ وَاَمۡتِعَتِكُمۡ فَيَمِيۡلُوۡنَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ مَّيۡلَةً وَّاحِدَةً‌   ؕ  وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ اِنۡ كَانَ بِكُمۡ اَ ذًى مِّنۡ مَّطَرٍ اَوۡ كُنۡـتُمۡ مَّرۡضٰۤى اَنۡ تَضَعُوۡۤا اَسۡلِحَتَكُمۡ‌ ۚ   وَ خُذُوۡا حِذۡرَكُمۡ‌   ؕ  اِنَّ اللّٰهَ اَعَدَّ لِلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ عَذَابًا مُّهِيۡنًا

 

Wa-ezaa-koon-taa-fee-him                                                                                                                    Fa-aa-qum-ta-la-ho-moos-sa-laa-ta                                                                                                Ful-ta-qoom-taa-aiy-fa-toon-min-hoom-ma-aa-ka                                                                  Wul-yau-kho-zoo-us-lay-ha-ta-hoom

Fa-ezaa-sa-ja-doo-ful-ya-koo-noo-min-wa-raa-aiy-koom                                                  Wul-tau-tay-taa-aiy-fa-toon-ookh-raa-lum-yo-sul-loo                                                              Ful-yo-sul-loo-ma-aa-ka                                                                                                                    Wul-yau-kho-zoo-hiz-ra-hoom-wa-us-lay-ha-ta-hoom

Wud-dul-la-ze-na-ka-fa-roo-lao-tugh-fo-loo-na-un                                                                  Us-lay-ha-ta-hoom-wa-o-mut-tay-aa-tay-koom                                                                        Fa-ya-me-loo-na-alai-koom                                                                                                                Mai-la-ton-waa-hay-da-ta-ton

Wa-laa-jo-naa-ha-alai-koom-in                                                                                                          Kaa-na-bay-koom-aa-zun-min-ma-ta-rin                                                                                    Auo-koon-toom-mur-dzaa                                                                                                                    Un-ta-dza-oo-us-lay-ha-ta-hoom

Wa-kho-zoo-hiz-ra-koom                                                                                                                  In-nul-laa-ha-aa-ud-da-lil-kaa-fay-re-na                                                                                        Aa-zaa-bun-mo-he-naa

 

And when you have been among them                                                                              Then establish the prayer for them                                                                                    And a group among them should stand with you                                                            And should hold their arms ready to use if needed

Then when they have prostrated then they get behind you                                        And another non-praying group should come forward                                     And pray with you                                                                                                                And take their precaution and their arms

And those who disbelieved have loved that you be careless                                    About your arms and your belongings                                                                              So that they attack upon you                                                                                        One mighty-big attack

And no sin is upon you if                                                                                                     You have been struck with hardship from rain                                                                Or you have been sick                                                                                                            That you put down your arms

But always take your precaution                                                                                    Surely Allah has prepared for the disbelievers                                                          A humiliating punishment

  • مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several. A/t/a, ‘on account of’ and ‘because of’) 
  • مَّطَرٍ — Ma-ta-rin — Rain (= n., Shower; drizzle to all the way to torrential rains. A/t/a, ‘rain hinders’ and ‘overtaken by rain’)
  • اَوۡ —  Auo — Or (= Alternatively; in substitution)
  • كُنۡـتُمۡ — Koon-toom — You have been (= Combination of two words. The first word كُنۡ (koon) means have been. The second word  ـتُمۡ  (toom) means you. A/t/a, ‘are’)
  • مَّرۡضٰۤى  — Mur-dzaa — Sick (= n., Disabled; handicapped; ill, infirm; patient; unwell. A/t/a, ‘ye are sick,’ ‘stricken with an illness,’ ‘are taken ill’ and ‘you are ill’)

 وَاِذَا ضَرَبۡتُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ فَلَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ تَقۡصُرُوۡا مِنَ الصَّلٰوةِ ‌ۖ   اِنۡ خِفۡتُمۡ اَنۡ يَّفۡتِنَكُمُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا‌ ؕ  اِنَّ الۡـكٰفِرِيۡنَ كَانُوۡا لَـكُمۡ عَدُوًّا مُّبِيۡنًا

 

Wa-ezaa-dha-rub-toom-fil-ur-dzay-fa-lai-sa-alai-koom-jo-naa-hoon                                  Un-tuq-so-roo-may-nus-sa-laa-tay                                                                                                    In-khif-toom-un-yuf-tay-na-ko-mool-la-ze-na-ka-fa-roo                                                        In-nul-kaa-fay-re-na-kaa-noo-la-koom-aa-do-won-mo-be-naa

 

And when you have traveled in the world there is no sin is on you                          That you shorten the prayer                                                                                                      If you fear that those who disbelieved will trouble you                                      Certainly the disbelievers have been your obvious enemy

Denied, refused and rejected the Faith and belief in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan, Islam and become Moslem.  A/t/a ‘disbelieve’ is a translation as a verb in the present tense when the Holy Qor-aan has stated the verb in the past tense. Also, ‘unbelievers’ and ‘disbelievers’ are translations as a noun when the Holy Qor-aan has used the word which is a verb. See our Commentary Believe and Disbelieve)
  • اِنَّ — In-na..(ul) — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, decidedly  definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; for sure; indeed; positively; really; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; truly; verily. One translation of this word is ‘In truth’ although the author has translated it as ‘Lo!’ in 004:049 (numbered in his works as 004:048) and several other verses)
  • الۡـكٰفِرِيۡنَ — Kaa-fay-re-na — Disbelievers (= n., The deniers who refused and rejected the Faith and belief in Allah, the Holy Qor-aan and Islam. Those who are not Moslem. Unbelievers. See كَفَرُوۡا  above)

The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                              004:101

 

 وَمَنۡ يُّهَاجِرۡ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ يَجِدۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ مُرٰغَمًا كَثِيۡرًا وَّسَعَةً‌  ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّخۡرُجۡ مِنۡۢ بَيۡتِهٖ مُهَاجِرًا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ ثُمَّ يُدۡرِكۡهُ الۡمَوۡتُ فَقَدۡ وَقَعَ اَجۡرُهٗ عَلَى اللّٰهِ‌  ؕ  وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرًا رَّحِيۡمًا

 

Wa-mun-yo-haa-jer-fee-sa-bee-lil-laa-hay-ya-jir-fil-ur-dzay                                                    Mo-raa-gha-mun-ka-the-run-wa-sa-ton.

Wa-mun-yakh-rooj-min-bai-ta-he-mo-haa-jay-run                                                                    Elul-laa-hay-wa-ra-soo-lay-he-thoom-ma-yood-rik-hool-mao-ta                                            Fa-qud-wa-qa-aa-uj-ra-hoo-alul-laa-hay                                                                                        Wa-kaa-nul-laa-ho-gha-foo-rur-ra-he-maa.

 

And whoever migrates in the cause of Allah finds on the earth                              Lot of refuge and humongous means.

And whoever gets out of his home migrating                                                                  For Allah and His messenger and then death reaches him                                      Surely then his reward became due on Allah                                                              And Allah has always been very Forgiving, very Merciful

  • فِىۡ — Fee — In (= In; concerning; regarding; in reference; relative to. Also, amidst, during or inside a time, place or event. A/t/a, ‘for’)
  • سَبِيۡلِ — Sa-bee-l..(il) — Cause (= n., Cause, course, direction, highway, line, passage, path, road, route or way. Our Commentary the Phrase fe-sa-be-lil-laa-hay meaning In The Cause Of Allah shows how the Holy Qor-aan qualifies by it certain acts and their doers. Such Repetitions are highly beneficial)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • يَجِد — Ya-jid — He finds (= v., pres., s.,3rd person. Comes upon; discovers; finds; gets; realizes; receives; sees. A/t/a, ‘will find’)
  • فِى — F…(il) — On (= In the instant case stating ‘On earth’ is more appropriate [See Note at 002:028] to convey in English the intent of original text)
  • الۡاَرۡضِ — Ur-dzay — The earth (= Area; country; earth; ground; land; territory. Life on earth; nation, people or society in general)
  • مُرٰغَمًا — Mo-raa-gha-mun — Refuge (= n., Protected area; safe zone; sanctuary; shelter. A/t/a, ‘a place of escape,’ ‘much refuge,’ ‘place of refuge,’ ‘places of refuge’ and ‘dwelling places’)
  • كَثِيۡرًا‌ — Ka-the-run –Lot of (= Adj., Abundant; ample; better quality or quantity; bigger, greater or larger in number; good deal or favor; lot of; great; many; more; much; numerous; plump. Also, the word refers to any multitude, overflowing or repetition of goodness)
  • وَّسَعَةً — Wa-sa-aa-ton — Humongous means (= Adj., Extensive and plentiful means, opportunities, provisions and resources. A/t/a, ‘abundance,’ ‘wide and spacious,’ ‘abundant resources,’ ‘plentifulness,’ ‘plentiful provision,’ ‘plenty of resources,’ ‘plenty to live by’ and ‘sustenance’)    
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • مَنۡ — Mun — Whoever (= Anyone; whoever; whom; whomever; whoso)

  • مُهَاجِرًا  — Mo-haa-jay-run — Migrating (= n., One who becomes a fugitive, emigrates, immigrates, leaves home and hearth to a move to another country or jurisdiction. A/t/a, ‘fleeing,’ ’emigrating,’ ‘migrating,’ ‘a fugitive,’ ‘as an immigrant’ and ‘to fight’)
  • اِلَى — E-lul — To (= In the direction of; for; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘in the cause of’)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • رَسُوۡلِ — Ra-soo-lay — Messenger (= n., Apostle; prophet; sage; saint)
  • هٖ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Ref to the immigrant or migrant)
  • ثُمَّ — Thoom-ma — Then (= After that; further more; subsequently; thereafter)
  • يُدۡرِكۡ — Yood-rik — Reaches (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Arrives; catches up to; comes across; gets hold of; meets; happens; strikes. A/t/a, ‘overtakes’  and ‘overtaketh.’ But the translation ‘is overtaken by’ in the passive voice is not of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in the active voice )

  • غَفُوۡرًا — Gha-foo-ra(ur) — Very Forgiving (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him is Who excuses, overlooks and pardons. All Forgiving. Oft-Forgiving. The One Who protects against crimes,  errors, faults, sins and wrongs. A/t/a, ‘Oft-forgiving,’ ‘Ever Oft-Forgiving,’ ‘ever Forgiving’ and ‘Great Protector’)
  • رَّحِيۡمًا — Ra-he-maa — Very Merciful (= superlative form indicates the greatest, the highest, the most, and highlights that none more than Him shows mercy again and again, continually, incessantly and indefinitely like endlessly and perpetually incoming  waves from the oceans. Merciful Forever. A/t/a, ‘Most Merciful,’ Merciful’ and ‘Ever Merciful’)

The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                         004:100

 

فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ عَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنۡ يَّعۡفُوَ عَنۡهُم ۡ‌ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُوۡرًا

 

Fa-o-laa-aiy-ka-aa-sul-laa-ho-un-yau-foo-un-hoom                                                              Wa-kaa-nul-laa-ho-aa-foos-waa-gha-foo-raa

 

So it is these that Allah may excuse them.                                                                        And Allah has always been Highly Excusing, Very Forgiving

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)

  • عَفُواۡ — Aa-foo-won — Most Excusing (= n., Absolving; Effacer; Eraser; Forgiving; Pardoning. Overlooking errors.
