The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                           002:083

 

وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡجَـنَّةِ ‌‌ۚ هُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ

 

Wa  aul-la-ze-na  aa-ma-noo  wa  aa-may-loo  s-saa-lay-haa-tay                                             O-laa-aiy-ka  aus-haa-bo  ol-jaun-na-tay  hoom  fee  haa-khaa-lay-doo-n

 

And those who believed and practiced proper acts
All are the people of Paradise. They are dwellers in it perpetually.

 

  • وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)

Holy Qor-aan has used often the “Phrase Aa-ma-noo 

  • الَّذِيۡن – Aul-la-ze-na — Those (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to the Believers)
  • اٰمَنُوۡا — Aa-ma-noo — They Believed  (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Believed in the Holy Qor-aan; became Moslems; entered in Islam. See Note 002:026c and our Commentaries Islam – 101 and BELIEVE and DISBELIEVE  
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • عَمِلُوا — Aa-may-loo … (s) — Practiced (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Acted; carried out; did; kept up; followed; led; lived out; performed; practiced; pursued; persisted in; strived. The Holy Qor-aan has used both verbs  اٰمَنُوۡا  and  عَمِلُوا  in the past tense but many authors inaccurately translated them in the present tense or as noun [O ye who believe; one author as ‘Believers’] as shown in Note 002:026c  )
  • الصّٰلِحٰتِ — Saa-lay-haa-tay — Proper acts (= n., pl., Appropriate, befitting, correct, decent, fit, good, holy, honorable, moral, pious, proper, respectable, right righteous, upright, virtuous or worthy acts, activities, deeds, manners, operations, practices, performances, pursuits or righteousness or works. Righteous actions which are appropriate in manner, time and place — not the likes of a soldier who stands up for a prayer during a sword-fighting battle for life and death)

Phrase O-laa-aiy-ka  aus-haa-bo  ol-jaun-nah … They are people of Paradise

  • اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — Olaa-aiy-ka — They all (= Aforesaid facts, persons or things. Here the reference is to the aforesaid believers الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡ )
  • اَصۡحٰبُ — Aus-haa-bo … (ol) — People (= n., pl., This one word has many shades of meanings.   With closeness as an element … Associates; companions; families; fellows; folks; friends; heirs; people; populace; population.  With residence as an element … citizens; denizens; dwellers; guests; inmates; inhabitants; invitees; live ins; natives; residents; stayers; visitors.  With control as an element … army; controllers; fighters; masters; occupants;  occupiers; owners; possessors; soldiers)
  • الۡجَـنَّةِ — Jaun-na-tay — The Paradise (= n., The Garden. Big groves; gardens; orchards.  See also the  Commentary titled as The Paradise)
  • ھُمۡ‌ — Hoom — They (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. All ‘Believers’ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡ )
  • فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Inside a duration, time, period, place, phenomenon or thing. Concerning. In reference. Regarding. Relative to
  • هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person.. Here it refers to Paradise)
  • خٰلِدُوۡنَ — Khaa-lay-doo-n — Dwellers (= n., Those who abide, dwell or reside. Adding the words  everlastingly, for ever after, forever, permanently and perpetually are appropriate only for the residents of the Paradise like in verses 004:014, 064:010 and 098:009.  See the Note 002.040)
