Holy Qor-aan 002:273
لَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكَ هُدٰٮهُمۡ وَلٰـكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ فَلِاَنۡفُسِكُمۡؕ وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡنَ اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ اللّٰهِؕ وَمَا تُنۡفِقُوۡا مِنۡ خَيۡرٍ يُّوَفَّ اِلَيۡكُمۡ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ لَا تُظۡلَمُوۡنَ○
Lai-sa-alai-ka-ho-daa-hoom-wa-laa-kin-nul-laa-ha-yah-dee-mun-ya-shaa-o—wa-maa-toon-fe-quoo-min-khai-rin-fa-le-un-fo-se-koom—wa-maa-toon-fe-quoo-na-il-lub-te-ghaa-aa-wuj-hil-laa-ha—wa-maa-toon-fe-quoo-min-khai-rin-yo-wuf-fa-alai-koom-wa-un-toom-laa-tooz-la-moon
It is not on you to guide them, but Allah guides whom He chooses. And whatever of the good things you spend is for your own souls. And you never spend anything except seeking Allah’s attention. And whatever of good things you spend will be fully returned to you. And you won’t be wronged (= short-changed with diminished returns).
- لَيۡسَ Lai-sa Not (= None at all; none whatsoever ‘as a binding duty’, obligation, responsibility or requirement)
- عَلَيۡ Alai On (= Above; for; on top of; over; upon)
- كَ Ka You (= Refers to single, male addressee in second person)
- هُدٰٮ Ho-daa Guidance (= n., Correct course; proper path; right road; wise ways)
- ھُمۡ Hoom Them (= Pronoun referring to ‘all those men, masculine gender)
- وَ Wa And (= Additionally; in addition to; also but, though or yet)
- َلٰـكِنَّ La-kinna But (= However; nevertheless; yet)
- ٱللَّهَ -Laa-ha Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- يَهۡدِىۡ Yuh-dee Guides (= v., Keep on correct course; put on proper path; ride on right road; wire them to wise ways)
- مَنۡ Mun(..y) Whom (= Any one; whoever; whomever; whomsoever)
- يَّشَآءُ Ya-shaa-o He chooses (= Desires; likes; pleases; prefers; selects; wants; wills; wishes)
- وَ Wa And (= Additionally; in addition to; also but, yet or though)
- مَاۤ Maa Whatever (= All that; whatsoever; refers to all things of value including assets, energy; money, possessions, property, time, wealth)
- تُنۡفِقُوۡا Toon-fe-quoo You spend (= 1- Expend, invest, lay out, put to use or utilize in helping the needy 2- Contribute; do almsgiving; donate; give in charity)
- مِنۡۢ Min Of / from (= From the class, category or count of; out of)
- خَيۡرٍ Khai-rin Good things (=All God-given gifts including all assets, blessings, energy, money, possessions, productivity, property, time or wealth)
- فَ Fa So (= Consequently; resultantly; then; thereafter; therefore; yet)
- لّ Le For (= For the benefit, purpose or reason; with intent to or object of
- اَنۡفُسِ Un-fo-se Souls (= Your own good; sakes; selves)
- کُمُ Koom You all (= Pronoun referring to ‘all you men and women, both genders)
- وَ Wa And (= Additionally; also; although; but; in addition to; yet)
- مَاۤ Maa Never (= No; not; not at all)
- تُنۡفِقُوۡنَ Toon-fe-quoo-na You spend (= 1- Expend, invest, lay out, put to use or utilize in helping the needy 2- Contribute; do almsgiving; donate; give in charity)
- اِلَّا Il-laa…(b) Except (= Apart from; besides; excluding; other than; save)
- ابۡتِغَآءَ Te-ghaa-a Seeking (= Pursuing; searching; trying)
- وَجۡهِ Wuj-he…(l) Attention (= Countenance; face; favor; focus; pleasure)
- اللّٰهِ -La-he Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- وَ Wa And (= Additionally; in addition to; also but, yet or though)
- مَاۤ Maa Whatever (= All that; what; whatsoever)
- تُنۡفِقُوۡا Toon-fe-quoo You spend (= 1- Expend, invest, lay out, put to use or utilize in helping the needy 2- Contribute; do almsgiving; donate; give in charity)
- مِنۡۢ Min Out of (= From; from the class, category or count of)
- خَيۡرٍ Khai-rin Good things (=All God-given gifts including all assets, blessings, energy, money, possessions, productivity, property, time or wealth)
- يُّوَفَّ Yo-wuf-fa Fully returned (= Paid back; rebound; repaid; reversed; rewarded)
- اِلَيۡ E-lai To (= In the direction of; to; towards)
- کُمُ Koom You (= Pronoun referring to ‘all you men and women, both genders)
- وَ Wa And (= Additionally; in addition to; also but, yet or though)
- اَنۡـتُمۡ Un-toom You (= pl., You all, men and women)
- لَا Laa Not at all (= Absolutely not; no; never)
- تُظۡلَمُوۡنَ Tooz-la-moon Wronged (= Treated unfairly or unjustly; given less than the due; given inadequate, inappropriate or diminished returns; shorted; short-changed)
