(**) The Mandate.
Reproduced is Note 002:044. The Holy Qor-aan has repeated this particular direction to the mankind very frequently. It is stated in the 2nd person format that ‘you’ اَقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ and in the 3rd person that ‘they’ اَقَامَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتَى الزَّکٰوةَ. It means to Establish and observe regularly the Prayers and pay / bring about the Purification, Zakaat. It is stated among others in the verses 002:044, 002:084, 002:111, 002:178, 002:278, 022:079, 073:021. It is reiterated in essence among others in the verses 005:056, 009:011, 009:071, 019:056, 098:006. Anyone can label it as an assurance, consolation, guaranty, promise, reward or whatever name one chooses. But in nutshell He has established His rule that He rewards the good deeds and has repeated it for several groups of people including the following.
- Who get guidance from Allah and then follow it – 002:039
- Who believe in Allah, Day of Judgment and do good deeds – 002:063, 005:070
