The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                        004:068

 

وَّاِذًا لَّاٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنۡ لَّدُنَّاۤ اَجۡرًا عَظِيۡمًا ۙ‏

 

Wa-aiy-zun-la-aa-tai-naa-hoom-min-la-doon-na-uj-run-azee-ma

 

And then certainly We would have given them from Us a magnificent reward

 

  • وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • اِذَاۤ — Aiy-zun..(la) — Then (= Any time; whenever. Also, remember or think of the time, event, occasion or opportunity. A/t/a, ‘in that case’)
  • لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely,  doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly;  seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily)
  • اٰتَيۡ — Aa-tai — Given (= v. past., s., 1st person. Awarded; bestowed; blessed; conferred; entrusted; gifted; granted; handed down handed over; laid out. This word in different  scenario means compensated, contributed, offered, paid, presented, reimbursed, remitted or remunerated. A/t/a, ‘should bestow upon’)
  • نَآ  —  Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us)
  • هُمۡ‌ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to aforesaid people)
  • مِنۡ  — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
  • لَّدُن — La-doon — Only (= Exclusively; solely. A/t/a ‘from Our Presence’)
  • نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl., 1st person. Our. Us. We. Used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate. A/t/a, ‘from Ourselves’ and ‘from Ourself’)
  • اَجۡرًا  — Uj-run — Reward (= n., s. Award; prize; recognition; recompense; result; trophy)
  • عَظِيۡمًا — Aa-ze-maa — Magnificent (= adj., Abounding; awe-inspiring; awesome; colossal; enormous; exceeding; extreme; fabulous; fantastic; great; greatest; immense; infinite; massive; mighty; monstrous; sensational; superb; terrific; tremendous; wonderful. A/t/a, ‘immense’ and ‘rich’)
