The Holy Qor-aan 007:043
وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَا نُـكَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا اِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۤ اُولٰۤٮِٕكَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡجَـنَّةِۚ هُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ
Wa aul-la-ze-na aa-ma-noo wa aa-may-loo os-aa-lay-haa-tay Laa no-kaul-lay-fo nauf-saun il-la woos-aa haa O-laa-aiy-ka aus-haa-bo ol-jaun-na-tay hoom fee haa khaa-lay-doo-n
Surely those who believed and who did decent deeds knew that We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity. All are the people of Paradise. They are dwellers in it.
- وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet. A/t/a, ‘And as for,’ ‘(As for),’ ‘But as to’ ‘and ‘But (as far)’)
Phrase Aa-ma-noo wa aa-may-loo saa-la-haa-tay …. Believed and did decent deeds
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Aul-la-ze-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, or phenomenon or things in masculine gender)
- اٰمَنُوۡا — Aa-ma-noo — They Believed (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Believed in the Holy Qor-aan and became Moslems. Accepted, acknowledged. A/t/a, ‘believed (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism),’ but ‘who believe’ and ‘who have faith’ ’in the present tense is no translation of the text of the Holy Qor-aan which is in the past tense)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- عَمِلُوا — Aa-may-loo… (s) — Did (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Acted; did; led; made effort; performed; worked; followed proper pursuits, stayed upright or practiced deeds of righteousness. A/t/a, ‘worked’ but the present tense as in ‘do’ and ‘work’ is no translation of the text in the Holy Qor-aan in the past tense)
- الصّٰلِحٰتِ — Saa-lay-haa-tay — Decent deeds (= n., pl., Appropriate, good, holy, pious, proper, righteous, upright, virtuous and worthy acts, actions, deeds, performances, practices and works. A/t/a, ‘righteousness,’ ‘deeds of righteous,’ ‘good’ and ‘good works’)
Universal Rule repeated in verses 002:287, 006:153 and 007:043
- لَا — Laa — No (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all)
- نُـكَلِّفُ — No-kaul-lay-fo — We burden (= v., pres., pl., 1st person. Charge, impose or load with a duty. Inconvenience. Put to hardship. Require Task. Saddle with responsibility. See Note 001:007. A/t/a, ‘We impose,’ ‘We task,’ ‘We … require,’ ‘We charge,’ ‘burden We place on,’ ‘We lay’ and ‘We tax’))
- نَفۡسًا — Nauf-saun — Any soul (= n., s., Anyone; an individual’s heart, life, mind; person. A/t/a, ‘any soul,’ ‘soul’ and ‘on any burden’)
- اِلَّاۤ — Il-laa — Nothing but (= Except; saving. A/t/a, ‘but that Which it’ and ‘beyond’))
- وُسۡعَ — Woos-aa — Capacity (= n., Ability; facility; faculty; power; scope; strength./t/a, ‘scope,’ ‘capacity’ and ‘according to … capacity,’ but verb like in ‘can bear’ is no translations of the noun that the Holy Qor-aan has used)
- هَا — Haa — Its (= pro., s., f., 3rd person., Refers to aforesaid soul. A/t/a, ‘his’)
Phrase O-laa-aiy-ka us-haa-bo ol-jaun-nah … meaning “They are People of Paradise”
- اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — O-laa-aiy-ka — They all (= Aforesaid facts, persons or things. Here the reference is to aforesaid folks, people and doers of good). A/t/a, ‘they are,’ ‘these are,’ ‘those are,’ ‘these who are’ and ‘such are’)
- اَصۡحٰبُ — Aus-haa-bo … (ol) — People (= n., pl., This one word has many shades of meanings outlined in above Phrase. With residence as an element they are citizens, dwellers, guests, inhabitants, invitees, live ins, natives, people, residents, stayers, visitors, etc. A/t/a, ‘companions,’ ‘owners,’ ‘rightful owners,’ ‘inmates,’ ‘‘heirs’ and ‘inhabitants’)
- الۡجَـنَّةَ — Jaun-na-tay — The Paradise (= n., s., Big grove; Coppice. Thicket. Garden of ultimate and everlasting beauty and greenery. Place of immense beauty, peace and tranquility which is beyond human comprehension. Heaven. The Orchard. A/t/a, ‘the Garden’)
- هُمۡ –Hoom — They (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid people)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Contained in or amidst a duration, event, time, place, period, thing or situation; inside. A/t/a, ‘therein’ and there’)
- هَا — Haa — It (= pro., s., f., 3rd person., Refers to Paradise)
- خٰلِدُوۡنَ — Khaa-lay-doo-n — Dwellers (= n., pl., Those who abide, enjoy, live, stay or reside. Adding superlatives such as everlastingly, permanently perpetually and forever in translating this word is quite appropriate for the residents of Paradise but is not so for the inmates of Hell. See Note 002:040. A/t/a, ‘To dwell (for ever),’ ‘they abide,‘ ‘they shall abide,’ ‘they shall abide for ever,’ ‘will abide,’ ‘dwelling forever’ but such verbs in future tense have not translated the noun in the text of the Holy Qor-aan)
