The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                       006:079

 

فَلَمَّا رَاٰ الشَّمۡسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّىۡ هٰذَاۤ اَكۡبَرُ‌ ۚ  فَلَمَّاۤ اَفَلَتۡ قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اِنِّىۡ بَرِىۡٓءٌ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُوۡنَ

 

Fa-lum-maa-ra-ush-shum-sa-baa-zay-ghun                                                                                    Qaa-la-haa-zaa-rub-be-haa-zaa-uk-bur                                                                                          Fa-lum-maa-aa-fa-lut-qaa-la-yaa-qao-may                                                                                In-nee-ba-ree-yoon-mim-maa-toosh-ray-koo-n

 

Then when he saw the sun shining dazzlingly                                                                  He said, ‘Here is my God. This is biggest.”                                                                          But when it disappeared, he said.” My people!                                                                  I am not liable for what you set up partners with God.”

 

  • فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus. A/t/a,’Finally’ and ‘and’)
  • لَمَّا — Lum-maa — When (= At the time)
  • رَاٰ — Ra-a … (ush) — Saw (= Deemed; imagined; looked; perceived; saw; thought; took. A/t/a, ‘beheld’)
  • الشَّمۡسَ — Ush-shum-sa — Sun (= The star that shines the brightest to the earth and bring the daylight)
  • بَازِغًا — Baa-zay-ghun —  Shining (= adj., Shining in re sun that shines brightly, brilliantly and dazzlingly. A/t/a, ‘rising in splendour,’ ‘rising,’ ‘rising up,’ ‘uprising,’  ‘rise with spreading light,’ ‘rise’ and ‘shining’)
  • قَا لَ — Qaa-laa — He said (= v., past, s., m, 3rd person. He said, stated or told himself. A/t/a, ‘cried’ and ‘he said to them)’
  • هَـٰذَا — Haa-zaa — Here (= Here; this; the article, thing or person present before the talker. A/t/a, ‘This is.’. But ‘Is this’ and ‘Can this be’ are questions and not a translation of what the Holy Qor-aan stated as a plane statement)
  • رَبِّ — Rub-b … (ee) — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. A/t/a, ‘Lord (as you assert)’
  • ىۡ — Ee — My (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • هَـٰذَا — Haa-zaa — This (= The article, thing or person present before the talker. A/t/a, ‘This is,’ ‘no doubt this is’ and ‘That must be my God’)
  • اَكۡبَرُ‌ — Uk-bur — Biggest (= adj., A/t/a, ‘the greatest (of all),’  ‘greatest,’ ‘greatest of all,’  ‘greater,’ ‘the biggest’ and ‘larger than the other two’)
  • فَ — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus. A/t/a, ‘But’)
  • لَمَّا — Lum-maa — When (= At the time. A/t/a, ‘when’)
  • اَفَلَتۡ — Aa-fa-lut — Disappeared (= v., past., s., f., 3rd person. Became invisible; dimmed; disappeared; set down. . For sun the Arabic grammar uses verbs in the feminine gender. A/t/a, ‘set,’ ‘also set’ and ‘the sun set’)
  • قَا لَ — Qaa-laa — He said (= v., past, s., m, 3rd person. Declared. See قَا لَ  above. A/t/a, ‘exclaimed’)
  • يٰۤ — Yaa — Listen (= Be attentive; hearken; pay attention; O)
  • قَوۡمِ — Qao-may — People (= A/t/a, ‘my people’)
  • اِنۡ — In — Certainly (= Absolutely; definitely; positively. A/t/a, ‘Lo!,’ ‘Most certainly,’ ‘surely’ and ‘indeed’)
  • ىۡ —  Ee — I (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • بَرِىۡٓءٌ — Ba-ree-yoon — Not liable for  (= n., Not accountable, answerable, blame-worthy or responsible. Also, innocent or unconnected. A/t/a, ‘free of,’ ‘free from,’ ‘clear,’ ‘am quit,’ ‘have no truck with,’ ‘(sick and) quit’ and ‘done with’)
  • مِمَّا — Mim-maa — With that (= Combination of two words. The first word  مِنۡ (min) means ‘among, from or out of the class, category, kind count or several persons or things.’ The second word  مَاۤ (maa) means ‘all that, what, whatever, any time, when, whenever.’ The combination of both words means ‘from what; out of what; concerning, regarding, relative to; thereby. A/t/a, ‘all that,’ ‘of that which,’ ‘of that,’ ‘with that’ and ‘from’)  
  • تُشۡرِكُوۡنَ‏  — Toosh-ray-koon —  You set up partners (= n., pl., You allege, ascribe, assert, associate, attribute, hold, join, set up or worship any equal or kind   of partner to the Almighty God. You become idolater, Polytheist or an Unbelieving pagan. See Note 004:037.  A/t/a, ‘giving partners to God,’ ‘you set up (with Allah),’ ye  associate (with him),’ ‘you associate with Him,’ ‘you associate with God,’  ‘you associate with Allah,’ ‘you join as partners (in worship with Allah’ and ‘your gods’)
