The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                      007:069

 

اُبَلِّغُكُمۡ رِسٰلٰتِ رَبِّىۡ وَاَنَا لَـكُمۡ نَاصِحٌ اَمِيۡنٌ

‏

O-baul-lay-gho  koom  ray-saa-laa-tay  raub-bee
Wa  aa-na  la  koom  naa-say-hoon  aa-meen    

 I deliver to you my God’ messages
And I am for you a very trustworthy adviser.

 

The following six (6) words are the same in verses 007:063 and 007:069

  • اُبَلِّغُ — O-baul-lay-gho — I deliver (= v., pres., s., 1st person. Bring; come or reach with; deliver;  extend, fill. A/t/a, ‘convey,’ ‘bring,’ ‘fulfil towards’ and ‘to make known to’)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all. The Holy Qor-aan has this way addressed men and women jointly)
  • رِسٰلٰتِ  — Ray-aa-la-tay –Messages (= n., pl., Communications; revelations. A/t/a, ‘duties of … mission’)
  • رَبِّ — Raub-bay —  GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all creatures. Cherisher. Creator. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. See 001:002’)
  • ىۡ — Ee — My (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • اَنَا — Aa-na — I (= pro., pl., s., 1st person. Us. A/t/a, ‘I am’  and ’am’)
  • لَ — La — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; concerning; regarding; relative to; to.  A/t/a, ‘for’ and ‘to’)
  • كُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., 2nd person. You all)
  • نَاصِحٌ — Naa-say-hoon — Adviser (= n., s., Giver of good and sound advice. A/t/a, ‘adviser,’ ‘adviser (or well-wisher),’ ‘advisor’ and ‘counsellor.’ Also, guide, informer, instructor, notifier recommender, warner)
  • اَمِيۡنٍ — Ameen — Trustworthy (= n., Diligent, dutiful, faithful, genuine, honest, real and  worthy of the trust put in or entrusted to him. A/t/a, ‘faithful,’ ‘sincere and faithful,’ ‘true,’ ‘sincere and trustworthy,’ ‘trustworthy’ and ‘sincere’)

The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                     007:068

 

قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ لَـيۡسَ بِىۡ سَفَاهَةٌ وَّلٰـكِنِّىۡ رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ

‏

Qaa-la  yaa  qao-may  lai-sa  bee  sa-faa-ha-toon
Wa  laa-kin  nee  ra-soo-loon  min  raub-bil-aa-la-mee-n

 

He said, “My people! There is no foolishness in me;
But I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Universe.”

 

Except for one word  ضَلٰلَةٌ  in verse 007:062 and  سَفَاهَةٌ  in verse 007:068, the verses are identical

  • قَا لَ — Qaa-la — He said (= v., past, s., m., 3rd person. Announced; broadcast; called; conveyed; declared; informed; elaborated; explained; specified; told. See 002:031. A/t/a, ‘Hud said,’ ‘Hud remonstrated’ and ‘He replied’) and ‘He replied’)

  • قَوۡمِ — Qao-may — People (= n., s., Addressees; attendees; fellows; followers; folks; nation; party; people; tribe. A/t/a, ‘my people’)
  • لَيۡسَ — Lai-sa — No, not (= Never; not at all; absolute and total negation. A/t/a, ‘not involved,’ ‘There is no’, ‘no’ and ‘I not’)
  • بِ  — Bay — With / in (= Literally the word  بِ  means with. A/t/a, ‘in’)
  • ىۡ — Ee — Me (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me. A/t/a, ‘me,’ ‘I am’)
  • سَفَاهَةٌ — Sa-faa-ha-tin — Foolishness (= n., Absurdity. Folly. Foolhardiness. Foolishness. Futility. Idiocy. Impudence. Insanity. Irrationality. Lacking common sense. Recklessness. Senselessness. Silliness. Stupidity. A/t/a, in ‘folly’ and ‘foolishness.’ But saying that you are ‘of unsound mind,’ ‘a foolish man’ and ‘an imbecile’ is inaccurate translation of the Holy Qor-aan text that had pinpointed a specific characteristic and not the person of the messenger)
  • وَّ — Wa — And  (= Conj., It links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • لٰـكِنۡ — Laa-kin — But (= However; instead; nevertheless; yet. A/t/a, ‘indeed’ and ‘on the contrary’)
  • ىۡ — Ee — I am (= pro., s., 1st person., I; me; my)
  • رَسُوۡلٌ — Ra-soo-loon — Messenger (= pl., s., Apostle; God’s messenger; prophet; sage; saint. A/t/a, ‘(I am) an apostle’ and ‘(I am) a Messenger. But the verb in ‘sent forth’ is no translation of the noun in the Holy Qor-aan text)
  • مِّنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon)
  • رَّبِّ — Raub-bay —  GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all creatures. Cherisher. Creator. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. قَالَ الۡمَلَاُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ قَوۡمِهٖۤ اِنَّا لَــنَرٰٮكَ فِىۡ سَفَاهَةٍ وَّاِنَّا لَــنَظُنُّكَ مِنَ الۡـكٰذِبِيۡنَ‏

 

Qaa-la  ul-ma-la-o  ol-la-ze-na  ka-fa-roo  min  qao-may  he
In-naa  la  na-raa  ka  fee  sa-faa-ha-tin
Wa  in-naa  la  na-zoon-no  ka  may-na  ul-kaa-zay-bee-n  

 

The leaders who disbelieved from his people said,
“We surely see you in a foolishness
And we think you are among the liars.”

 

Next seven (7) words are repeated in four (4) verses except for
كَفَرُوۡا in 007:067 & 007:091 and اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا in 007:076 & 007:089

وَاِلٰى عَادٍ اَخَاهُمۡ هُوۡدًا‌ ؕ قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ‏

 

Wa  aiy-laa  aa-din  aa-khaa  hoom
Qaa-la  yaa  qao-may  ay-bo-doo  l-laa-ha
Maa  la  koom  min  aiy-laa-hin  ghai-ro  hoo
Aa  fa  laa  taut-ta-qoo-n        

 

And to Aad We sent their brother Hoo-od.
He said, “Listen my people! Worship Allah.
You have no god to worship other than him.
Then why don’t you become pious?”

فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاَنۡجَيۡنٰهُ وَالَّذِيۡنَ مَعَهٗ فِى الۡفُلۡكِ وَاَغۡرَقۡنَا الَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا‌ ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَوۡمًا عَمِيۡنَ

 

Fa  kauz-za-boo  ho
Fa  aun-jai-naa  ho  wa  ul-la-ze-na  ma-aa  hoo  fee  il-fool-kay
Wa  augh-rauq-naa  ul-la-ze-na  kauz-za-boo  bay  aa-yaa-tay  naa
In-na   hoom  kaa-noo  qao-maun  aa-mee-n 

              

Then they belied him.
Then We saved him and those with him in the ship.
And We drowned all those who had belied Our signs.
They surely were blind people.

اَوَعَجِبۡتُمۡ اَنۡ جَآءَكُمۡ ذِكۡرٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ عَلٰى رَجُلٍ مِّنۡكُمۡ لِيُنۡذِرَكُمۡ وَلِتَـتَّقُوۡا وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُوۡنَ‏

 

Aa  wa  aa-jib-toom  aun  jaa-aa-koom  zik-roon
Min  raub-bay  koom  aa-laa  ra-jo-lin  min  koom
Lay  yoon-za-ra  koom  wa  lay  taut-ta-qoo
Wa  la-aul-la  koom  toor-ha-moon

 

And are you surprised that a Reminder came to you
 From your God upon a man from among you
 So that he warns you and you become pious  
And you may be shown mercy. 

 

The text in next eighteen (18) is the same in verses 007:064 and 007:070

اُبَلِّغُكُمۡ رِسٰلٰتِ رَبِّىۡ وَاَنۡصَحُ لَـكُمۡ وَاَعۡلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

‏

O-baul-lay  koom  ray-saa-laa-tay  raub-bee
Wa  aun-sau-ho  la  koom  wa  au-la-moo  may-na
Al-laa-hay  maa  laa  tau-la-moon

 

I deliver to you my God’s messages
And I advise to you and I know from
Allah what you do not know.

قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ لَـيۡسَ بِىۡ ضَلٰلَةٌ وَّلٰـكِنِّىۡ رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ‏

 

Qaa-la  yaa  qao-may  lai-sa  bee  dza-laa-la-toon
Wa  laa-kin  nee  ra-soo-loon  min  raub-bay  il-aa-la-mee-n

 

He said, “My people! There is no error with me;
 But I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Universe.”

 

Except for one word  ضَلٰلَةٌ  in verse 007:062 and  سَفَاهَةٌ  in verse 007:068, the verses are identical

قَالَ الۡمَلَاُ مِنۡ قَوۡمِهٖۤ اِنَّا لَـنَرٰٮكَ فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيـۡنٍ‏

  

Qaa-la  ul-ma-la-o  min  qao-may  he
In-naa  la  na-raa  ka  fee  dza-laa-lin  mo-bee-n

 

 The leaders from among his people said,
 “We surely see you in a very plain error.”

 

  • قَا لَ — Qaa-la … (ul) — Said (= v., past, s., m., 3rd person. Announced; broadcast;    called; conveyed; declared; informed; elaborated; explained; specified; told. See  002:031)

لَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا اِلٰى قَوۡمِهٖ فَقَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍ‏

 

La  qaud  aur-aul-naa  noo-haun  aiy-laa  qao-may  he
 Fa  qaa-la  yaa  qao-may  aiy-bo-doo l-laa-ha
Maa  la  koom  min  aiy-laa-hin  ghai-ro  ho
In-nee  aa-khaa-fo  aa-lai  koom  aa-zaa-ba  yao-min  aa-zee-m

 

We surely sent Noah as Messenger to his people
 So he said, “Listen my people! Worship Allah.
 No god to worship is for you other than Him.
Surely I am afraid for you about the punishment of the Great Day.”
