Thus they routed them by Allah’s grace. And David downed Jaloot. And Allah gave him the Kinghood and the Wisdom And taught him out of all that He pleased. And if there was no repelling of some people With some others, the whole world would be in a chaos. But Allah is the Lord of Grace to the whole world.

* Note 002:252. Most translations have stated this section as “Had Allah not repelled” and construed the operative word as a verb in the past tense. If that was the case, the word used would have been عَ فَ دَ (da-fa-aa) and translated as beaten, checked, contained, controlled, defeated, discarded, ended, pushed back, prevented, rejected, repelled, reversed, reverted, stopped, thwarted or turned back.
But that is not the case. The original text has used the word of دَفۡعُ (duf-o) which is a noun. Thus its accurate translation is ‘beat, check, containment, control, defeat, discarding, end, push back, prevention, rejection, repelling, reversal, reversion, stoppage, thwarting or turning back.’ And this true translation is set above.

These messengers – We gave preference to some of them on some others. Among them were with whom Allah talked And He raised some of them in ranks.
We gave clear signs to Jesus son of Mary And supported him with the Spirit of Holiness.
And if Allah chose, Those who came after them would not have fought After the clear signs had come to them. And but they disagreed with each other.
So, among them were who believed and among them who disbelieved. And if Allah chose, they would not have fought with each other. However, Allah does what He wills.
* Note: 002:254. . The two-worded رُوۡحِ الۡقُدُسِ phrase has been used in the Holy Qor-aan several times. Translations vary as to the exact meanings of this phrase.
Some have referred to it as The Spirit of Holiness. This would be internal quality infused in the subject which in this case is Jesus Son of Mary.
Some have referred to it as Holy Spirit or the Arch angel Gabriel or Jibraeel in the Arabic. This would be an external force applied or outside person deputed to support the subject which in this case is Jesus Son of Mary.
Either of the two translations appear accurate. They describe a special blessings that the Almighty God conferred on Jesus and specified him in this verse as one of His Messengers.
