002:006

The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                      002:006

.

اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ عَلٰى هُدًى مِّنۡ رَّبِّهِمۡ وَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡمُفۡلِحُوۡنَ

O-laa-aiy-ka  alaa  ho-daum  min-r  raub-bay  him
Wa  o-laa-aiy-ka  ho-mo  ol-moof-lay-hoon.

All of these are on a Guidance from their God, the Provident.
And all of them are the Successful.

  • اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — O-laa-aiy-ka — All of these (= Acts. facts, items, persons or things)
  • عَلٰى — Aa-laa — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon)
  • هُدًى — Ho-da … (um) — Guidance (= n., The action, direction, instruction, means, measure, method, pointer or set up showing the best beacon, correct course, enlightened entry, linear lines, proper path, right road, wise ways or the knowledge about what is best. See Commentary Iss-laam and 002:003)
  • مِّنۡ — Min … (r) — From (= From the class, category or count of; out of)
  • رَبِّ — Rub-bay — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Lord Provident; Master; The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
  • هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid believers)

The text in the next four (4) words is repeated in many verses                        Including 002:00, 003:105, 007:009, 030:039, 064:017, etc.

  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; also; but; additionally; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
  • اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — O-laa-aiy-ka — All (= Acts, facts, item, persons or things. See اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ  above)
  • هُمُ — Ho-mo … (ol) — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid believers)
  • الۡمُفۡلِحُوۡنَ — Moof-lay-hoon — The Successful (= n., pl., Achievers; champs; prosperous; triumphant; victors; victorious; winners. See Note Note 002:006)

Note 002:006. The word  الۡ  before the word  مُفۡلِحُوۡنَ   pinpoints that the word   الۡمُفۡلِحُوۡنَ  is a noun, and not a verb and that’s why its translation as a verb in present or future tense is not right. “The Successful” people as defined in a 6-step description [023:002 to 012] resembling an 8-step description [070:023 to 036] are those ‘who pray’ and will be ‘honored’ in Paradise.
