وَاِذۡ اَخَذۡنَا مِيۡثَاقَكُمۡ وَرَفَعۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمُ الطُّوۡرَؕ خُذُوۡا مَآ اٰتَيۡنٰكُمۡ بِقُوَّةٍ وَّ اذۡكُرُوۡا مَا فِيۡهِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُوۡنَ‏

Wa  iz  aa-khauz-naa  me-thaa-qa  koom
Wa  ra-fau-naa  fao-qa  ko-mo  ot-toor
Kho-zoo  maa  aa-tai-naa  koom  bay  qoow-wa-tin
Wa  uz-ko-roo  maa  fee  hay  la-aul-la  koom  taut-ta-qoo-n 

And call to mind when We took your pledge
And We raised above you the mountain (= Brought you to the foothills)
“Take what We give you with strength.
And remember all that is in it so that you may become pious.”

• اِذۡ — Iz  — When (= Any time or event; behold; call to mind; consider; now that; ponder over, recall; reflect, remember; think of the event, occasion, opportunity or time)
•  اَخَذۡنَا — Aa-khauz-naa — We took (= v., past., pl., 1^st person. Obtained. Secured. The first  part of this word is  اَخَذَ  (aa-kha-za). It can mean many acts stated below in Note 002:064. Its past tense verb for single 3^rd person is converted into that of plural 1^st  person as explained in Note 001:007. The second part of this word is  نَآ  (naa = pro., pl., 1^st person. It means ‘We,’ and used with God’s name it is the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate. See  خُذُوۡا  below)
