The Holy Qor-aan 003:160
فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ لِنۡتَ لَهُمۡ ۚ وَلَوۡ كُنۡتَ فَظًّا غَلِيۡظَ الۡقَلۡبِ لَانْفَضُّوۡا مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَ فَاعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِى الۡاَمۡرِۚ فَاِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الۡمُتَوَكِّلِيۡنَ
Fa-bay-maa-rauh-ma-tin-may-nul-laa-hay-lin-ta-la-hoom Wa-lao-koon-ta-fudz-dzun-gha-lee-zaul-qul-bay Lun-fudz-dzoo-min-hao-lay-ka Fau-fo-un-hoom-waus-tugh-fer-la-hoom Wa-shaa-wir-hoom-fil-um-ray. Fa-ezaa-aa-zum-ta-fa-ta-wuk-kul-alul-laa-hay In-nul-laa-ha-yo-hib-bool-mo-ta-wuk-kay-lee-n
So with all that mercy from Allah you are kind to them. And if you had been rough and hardhearted They surely would have run away from around you. So you excuse them. And you ask forgiveness for them. And you consult them in making the order. Thus, when you have decided, then trust Allah. Allah surely loves those who put their trust in Him
- فَ — Fa — So (= As a result; consequently; hence; then; thus; thereafter; therefore; yet. A/t/a After all this; at the end; in the final analysis; in conclusion)
- بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ means ‘with’)
- مَاۤ — Maa — All that (= What; whatever; whatsoever. Th word مَاۤ jointly with the prior word بِ is also translated as because of; due to, for the reason that, on account of, and ‘owing to’)
- رَحۡمَةٍ — Rauh-ma-tin– As a Mercy (= Beneficence. Clemency. Compassion. Condoning. Forgiveness. Intercession. Intervention. Kindness. Leniency. Omitting, relenting or waiving punishment)
- مِّنَ — May-na..(ul) — From (= Among, from or out of the class, category, count, kind or several articles, things, persons or phenomenon
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- لِنۡتَ — Lin-ta — Are kind (= v., pres., 2nd person., Accommodating; gentle; lenient; nice. This verse lauds the trait that all humans and the leaders should have. This word is mostly translated as ‘are,’ ‘art,’ ‘thou ‘art’ or ‘thou dost deal gently with them’ in the present tense, but is also translated in the past tense as ‘thou wast lenient with them’)
- لَ — La — For (= For the attention, benefit, convenience, determination, object or purpose. Concerning, regarding; intended for)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to companions around)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet; whereupon)
- َلَوۡ — Lao — If (= In case; under the circumstances)
- كُنۡتَ — Koon-ta — Had been (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. Since the past you had been and were continuing even now)
- فَظًّا — Fudz-dzun — Rough (= Adj., Coarse; difficult; harsh; jagged; irregular; stern; severe; tough; uneven; violent)
- غَلِيۡظَ — Gha-lee-zul — Hard (= Adj., Firm; harsh; rigid; stiff. A/t/a, ‘Fierce’ and awkward; challenging; inflexible; testing; unbreakable)
- الۡقَلۡبِ — Qul-bay — Heart (= n., s., 1. The central organ inside the chest of all living creatures that keeps up the supply of blood to every tissue by pumping blood constantly through veins and controls all body parts and directs all their functions. 2. Mind; inner soul; ability to think, choose, decide and act in an appropriate manner)
- لَ — La…(un) — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly; seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily)
- انْفَضُّوۡا — Un-fudz-dzoo — Would have run (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Broke away; hurried; rushed; sprinted; took flight; went away. Also, abandoned; departed; deserted; discarded; dispersed; scattered; separated; isolated)
- مِنۡ — Min — From (= Among, from)
- حَوۡلِ — Hao-lay — Around (= Circling; in the company; surrounding)
- كَ — Ka — You (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message is initially the Holy Prophet s.a.w and secondarily every Moslem, in fact every human being. See the Note under 002:005)
- فَ — Fa…(u) — Therefore (= As a result; consequently; hence; so; then; thereafter; yet. A/t/a After all this; at the end; in the final analysis; in conclusion)
- اعۡفُ –Au-fo — Pardon (= v., Absolve, blot out, efface, excuse, give a pass, look the other way or overlook our errors, faults, mistakes, sins or wrongs- A/t/a, ‘bear with’ and ‘pass over (Their faults)’ )
- عَنۡ — Un — From (= About; concerning; regarding; relative to)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to companions around)
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ above)
- ٱسۡتَغۡفِر — Us-tugh-fir — Ask forgiveness (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. Ask to be excused, beg forgiveness or seek repentance. See Note 110:004a and Commentary Praying for others)
- لَ — La — For (= For the attention, benefit, convenience, determination, good, object or purpose; to; towards. Also, concerning, regarding; relative to; intended for)

- شَاوِرۡ — Shaa-wir — Consult (= v., pres., 2nd person., Advise; make suggestions; take counsel; A/t/a, ‘consult’ and ‘take counsel with them in the conduct of affairs’ )
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Refers to companions around)
- فِى — F…(il) — In (= About; concerning; in reference, regarding relative to. Also, amidst; among; belonging; contained or inside a duration, event, time, place, period, thing or situation)
- الۡاَمۡرِ — Um-ray — The Order (= n., s., 1. Authority; command; control; decision; decree direction; instruction; judgment; responsibility; rule. 2. Affair; issue; matter; situation. See Note 002:211. A/t/a, ‘matters of administration,’ ‘in (important) matters,’ ‘consult with them up upon the conduct of affairs’ and ‘consult Them in affairs (of moment)’
- فَ — Fa — Then (= Hence; so; thus; after all this; at the end; in conclusion; consequently; finally; thereafter; therefore)
- اِذَاۤ — Ezaa — When (= Any time or event; behold; call to mind, consider; recall; ponder over; reflect; remember or think of the time, event, now that; occasion, opportunity; take into consideration; whenever)
- عَزَمۡتَ — Aa-zum-ta — You decided (= v., past., s. 2nd person., Finalized a decision; made up mind. A/t/a, ‘thou hast determined’ and some even translated this past tense verb in the present tense as ‘are’ or ‘art resolved’ and ‘are determined)
- فَ — Fa — Then (= Hence; so; thus; after all this; at the end; in conclusion; consequently; finally; thereafter; therefore)
- تَوَكَّلۡ — Ta-wuk-kul — Trust (= v., pres., 2nd person., Entrust; have faith; put trust)
- عَلَى — Alul — On (= Above; against; before; during; for; on; on top of; over; to; upon
- اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
- اِنَّ — In-na..(ul) — Absolutely (= Certainly; definitely; doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; in all seriousness; positively; really; surely; truly; verily)
- اللّٰهَ — Laa-ha — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- يُحِبُّ — Yo-hib-bo..(ol) — Loves (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Admires; adores; appreciates; approves; cherishes; is attached; likes very much; prefers. A/t/a covets; craves; desires; wants; wishes)
- الۡمُتَوَكِّلِيۡنَ — Mo-ta-uk-kay-lee-n — Those who put their faith, trust and confidence in God Almighty.
