  لَنۡ يَّسۡتَـنۡكِفَ الۡمَسِيۡحُ اَنۡ يَّكُوۡنَ عَبۡدًا لِّـلَّـهِ وَلَا الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ الۡمُقَرَّبُوۡن َ‌ؕ  وَمَنۡ يَّسۡتَـنۡكِفۡ عَنۡ عِبَادَ تِهٖ وَيَسۡتَكۡبِرۡ فَسَيَحۡشُرُهُمۡ اِلَيۡهِ جَمِيۡعًا‏  

Lun-yus-tun-kay-ful-ma-se-ho-un-ya-koo-na                                                                                Ub-dun-lil-laa-hay-wa-lul-ma-laa-aiy-ka-tul-mo-qur-ra-boon                                                  Wa-mun-yus-tun-kif-un-ebaa-da-tay-he                                                                                          Fa-sa-yah-sho-ro-hoom-elai-hay-ja-mee-aa

 

The Messiah never turns away that he be                                                                            A servant of Allah, and not the angels nearest to God.                                                  And whoever turns away from worshiping him and pride                                           Then very soon He will gather them all to Himself

 

  • لَنۡ — Lunn — Never (= Absolute denial; no; not; not at all; total negation; by no means. A/t/a, ‘surely … never’)
  • يَّسۡتَـنۡكِفَ — Yus-tun-kay-f(ul) — Turns away (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Disapproves; dislikes; feels shy; moves away; turns in disdain; shirks; shrinks. A/t/a, ‘disdaineth,’ ‘disdains,’ ‘disdains to be (looked upon as),’ ‘will scorn,’ ‘would … disdain’ and ‘be proud to reject’)
  • الۡمَسِيۡحُ — (ul)Ma-see-ho — The Messiah (= n., Guru’ spiritual leader. Here ref to Jesus s/o Mary)
  • اَنۡ — Un — That (= So that)
  • يَّكُوۡنَ — Ya-koo-na — He be  (= v., pass., m., 3rd person., Continue; happen; occur. Indicates continuity from the past to the future. A/t/a, ‘serve and worship,’ ‘to be accounted,’ ‘be’ and ‘to be looked upon as’)
  • عَبۡدًا — Ub-dun — Servant (= n., s., Bondsman; dedicated; devotee; servant and ‘slave’)
  • لِلۡ — L…(il) — For / to (= Concerning, regarding; relative to; intended for; to; towards, A/t/a, ‘unto’)
  • اللّٰهِ — Laa-hay — Allah (= The One and the Only One Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; more over; though; when; while; yet)
  • لَا — La…(ul) — No (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor; not at all; absolute  denial and total negation without exception)
  • الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ — Ma-laa-aiy-ka-tay — Angels (= pl., The immortal beings attendant upon God who  execute God’s commands and do no wrong. A kind, loving and lovable person)
  • الۡمُقَرَّبُوۡن — Mo-qur-ra-boo-na — The Nearest (= n., Those who have been brought close and near. A/t/a, ‘nearest (to God),’ ‘who are near to Him,’ ‘favoured,’ ‘near unto God,’ ‘who are close to Allah,’ ‘who are the near (to Allah),’ ‘who are nearest to God,’ ‘nearest (to  Him consider the fact degrading for themselves)’ and ‘who are nearest to him’)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • مَنۡ —  Mun — Who (= Anyone; whoever; whom;   whomever; whoso. A/t/a, ‘Those who’)
  • يَّسۡتَـنۡكِفَ — Yus-tun-kif — Turns away (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Disapproves; dislikes. A/t/a,  ‘rejects.’ See  يَّسۡتَـنۡكِفَ  above)
  • عَنۡ — Un — From (= About; concerning; regarding; relative to)
  • عِبَا دَ تِ — Ebaa-da-tay  — Worship (= n., s., Glorification; service. A/t/a, ‘service (and worship),’ ‘worship’ and ‘service’)
  • هٖ —  He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the Almighty God)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
  • يَسۡتَكۡبِرۡ — Yus-tuk-bir — Prides (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Acts, becomes, behaves or turns arrogant. Takes pride. Thinks of himself as too big. A/t/a, ‘is proud,’ ‘feels proud,’ ‘consider themselves to be above Him’ and ‘behaves arrogantly.’ But using the noun of ‘through arrogance’ is not right for a verb which the Holy Qor-aan has used)
  • فَ  — Fa — Then (= After all this; at the end; consequently; finally; hence; in conclusion; so; thereafter; therefore; thus)
  • سَ — Sa   — Soon (= The one-lettered word that turns a verb in the present tense to verb in the near term or future; in a short while; quickly; swiftly; very closely; without too long a wait. A/t/a, definitely; surely; ‘(the day will come when’)
  • يَحۡشُرُ  — Yuh-sho-ro — Will gather (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Assemble; gather; round up. A/t/a, ‘will He gather,’ ‘He will gather’ and ‘shall … be brought’)
  • هُمۡ‌ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. Those men, they or their)
  • اِلَيۡ — E-lai — At (= In the direction of; to; towards. A/t/a, ‘before’ and ‘unto’)
  • هِ — Hay  — Him (= pro., s., m; 3rd person., Ref to the Almighty God. A/t/a, ‘Him’ and ‘Himself’)
  • جَمِيۡعًا — Ja-me-aa — All (= adv., Altogether, entirely, totally or wholly accumulated, amassed, assembled, collected, concentrated, concerted, crowded, herded together in great numbers, in groups and in company with others. A/t/a, ‘all Together,’ ‘all together,’ ‘all such’ and ‘all’)
