The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                            007:103

وَمَا وَجَدۡنَا لِاَكۡثَرِهِمۡ مِّنۡ عَهۡدٍ‌ۚ  وَاِنۡ وَّجَدۡنَاۤ اَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَفٰسِقِيۡنَ

Wa  maa  wa-jaud-naa  lay  auk-tha-ray  him  min  auh-din
Wa  in-w  wa-jaud-naa  auk-tha-ra  hoom  la  faa-say-qee-n

And We did not find most of them among keepers of promise.
And We surely found most of them miscreants violating promises.

• مَاۤ — Maa — Not (= Never; None at all. A/t/a, ‘no (loyalty to any),’ ‘no’ and ‘not’)
• وَجَدۡنَا  — Wa-jaud-naa — We found (= v., past., pl., 1^st person. Came upon; discovered; noticed perceived; realized; saw. The past tense verb for single 3^rd person is converted into that of plural 1^st person as explained in Note 001:007. A/t/a, ‘We found’ and ‘did … find’)
• لِ — Lay — For (= For the object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; concerning; regarding; relative to. A/t/a, ‘in’)
• اَكۡثَرِ — Auk-tha-ray — Most of (= adj., Bigger, greater, higher, larger or stronger number. Countless, in majority of, numerous or several times. Mostly. Heterogenous, multifarious or voluminous occasions. A/t/a, ‘most’ and ‘the larger part)
• هِمۡ  — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3^rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
• مِّنۡ —  Min — From (= Among, from or out of the class or category of several articles, counts, kind, things, persons or phenomenon A/t/a, ‘of’)
• عَهۡدِ — Auh-din — Promise (= n., Assurance; covenant; obligation; pledge; promise; solemn affirmation; undertaking. A/t/a, ‘men (true) to their covenant,’ ‘true to their covenant,’ ‘true to their covenants,’ ‘(faithfulness to)  covenant,’ ‘any observance of covenant,’ ‘no respect for any covenant,’ ‘any (regard for the observance of their) covenant’ and ‘untrue to their covenants’)
• وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ   above. A/t/a, ‘But’)
• اِنۡ — In … (wa) — Certainly (= Absolutely; clearly, decidedly; definitely; doubtlessly indeed; positively; really; surely; truly; verily. A/t/a, ’indeed’ and ‘surely’)
• وَّجَدۡنَاۤ — Wa-jaud-naa — We found (= v., past., s., 3^rd person. Came upon. See وَجَدۡنَا  above)
• اَكۡثَرَ — Auk-tha-ra — Most of  (= adj., Bigger, greater, higher, large. See اَكۡثَرِ above)
• هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3^rd person. Those men; they; theirs)
• لَ — La — Certainly (= Absolutely; assuredly; categorically; clearly, definitely, doubtlessly; earnestly; indeed; positively; really; truly;  seriously; sincerely; specifically; surely; verily. A/t/a, ‘nay’)
• فٰسِقِيۡنَ — Faa-say-qee-n — The miscreants (= n., pl., Who have misbelief or false religious faith. Who practice bad, abomination and contemptible ways that are loathed by and frowned upon. See Note 003:083. A/t/a, ‘Rebellious and disobedient,’ ‘wrong-doers,’  ‘wicked,’ ‘disobedient (and transgressors),’ Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)’ ‘evil-doers,’ ‘to be evil-doers,’ ‘to be transgressors’ and ‘to be unfaithful’)
