The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                        007:112

 

قَالُوْآ اَرْجِهْ وَاَخَاہُ وَاَرْسِلْ فِی الْمَدَآٮِٕنِ حٰشِرِیْنَ  ۙ ‏         

 

Qaa-loo  aur-jay  ho  wa  aa-khaa  ho  wa
Aur-sil  fee  il-ma-daa-aiy-nay  haa-shay-ree-n

 

They said, “Return hm and his brother and
Send caller in the (= our subordinated) cities.”

 

  • قَا لُوۡا —  Qaa-loo — They said (= v., past, pl., m., 3rdperson: All those men announced,      ]called, declared or told. See 002:031. A/t/a, ‘They said,’ ‘other said,’ ‘others said,’ ‘they said (unto Pharoah)’ and ‘(After their deliberations) they said (to Pharoah)’
  • اَرْجِ — Aur-jay — Return (= v. pres., s., 2nd person. Send back. A/t/a, ‘Put … off,’ ‘put off … awhile,’ ‘put … off awhile,’ ‘put … off … awhile,’ ‘put … a while,’ ‘put … off (for a time),’ ‘Put … off (a while),’ ‘Keep … in suspense (for a while)’ and ‘let … wait’)
  • هُ — Ho –Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to Prophet Moses)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; also; but; moreover; though; when; whereupon; while; yet)
  • اَخَا — Aa-khaa — Brother (= n., Male son to the same parents. Also, Tribesman. Member of the same tribe or group of people.
  • هُ — Ho — Him (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. See هُ above)
  • وَ — Wa … (ur) — And (= Conj., Links words, phrase. See وَ  above)
  • اَرْسِلْ — Aur-sil — Send (= v., pres., s., 2nd person. Dispatch; summon. A/t/a, ‘send’ and ‘send forth’)
  • فِىۡ — Fee … (il) — In (= About. Amidst. Among. Contained inside a duration, event, time, place, period, person, phenomenon, situation or thing. Also, concerning; for the sake of; in reference to; pursuant to; regarding; relative to. See Note 002:028. A/t/a, ‘into’ and ‘to’)
  • الْمَدَآٮِٕنِ — Ma-daa-aiy-nay — Cities (= n., pl.. Kingdom, Towns. Territories. A/t/a, ‘cities’ and ‘your cities’)
  • حٰشِرِیْنَ — Haa-shay-ren-n — Callers (= n., pl., Announcers. Callers. Heralds.                 Summoners.. A/t/a, ‘men to collect,’ ‘to collect,’ ‘men to gather the people’ and ‘to summon’)
