The Holy Qor-aan 002:011
فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ مَّرَضٌۙ فَزَادَهُمُ اللّٰهُ مَرَضًا ۚ وَّلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ۙ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡذِبُوۡنَ○
Fee qo-loo-bay him ma-ra-dzoon
Fa zaa-da ho-mo ol-laa-ho mara-dzaa
Wa la hoom azaa-boon aa-lee-moon
Bay-maa kaa-noo yauk-zay-boo-n
In their hearts is a sickness.
So Allah increased them in the sickness.
And for them is a painful punishment
In all that (= because) they had been lying.
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= About. Amidst. Among. Contained inside a duration, event, time, place, period, person, phenomenon, situation or thing. Also, concerning; for the sake of; in reference to; pursuant to; regarding; relative to. See 002:028)
- قُلُوۡب — Qo-loo-bay — Hearts (= n., pl., Refers to the ability to think, choose, decide and act in an appropriate manner physically and spiritually. Mind. Inner soul. Understanding. Physically the central organ inside the chest of all living creatures that keeps up the supply of blood to every tissue by pumping blood constantly through veins and controls the body parts and directs all their functions. See 002:008)
- هِمۡ — Him — Their (= pro., pl, .m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid people)
- مَّرَضٌ — Ma-ra-dzoon — Sickness (= n., s., Disease. Illness. Infirmity. Sickness. Also one who has fallen to his own doubt or suspicion)
- فَ — Fa — So / Then (= After all this; as a result; at the end; but; consequently; hence; in conclusion; so; then; thereafter; therefore; thus; yet. See 002:027)
- زَادَ — Zaa-da — Increased (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Added. Expanded. Gave. Increased. Magnified. Granted. Grew. Multiplied)
- هُمُ — Ho-mo…(ol) — Them (= pro., pl, .m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid people)
- اللّٰهُ — Laa-ho — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
- مَرَضًا — Ma-ra-dza — Sickness (= n., s., Disease. Illness. Infirmity. See مَّرَضٌ above)
The Warning about Punishment in next five words is given for misdeeds named in verses 002:011, 002:175, 003:078, 003:092, 003:178, 004:162, 004:174, 005:037, 064:006, etc.
- وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; also; but; moreover; though; when; while; whereupon; yet)
- لَ — La — For (= For the benefit, object, person, purpose or reason of; intended for; meant for; concerning; regarding; relative to. Also, because; on account of; so that. See 002:003a)
- هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl, .m., 3rd person. Refers to aforesaid people)
- عَذَابٌ — Aa-zaa-boon — Punishment (= n., Appropriate, due and fair agony, chastisement, doom, hard task, penalty, recompense; torment, torture or scourge)
- اَلِيۡمٌ — Aa-lee-moo-n …(b) — Painful (= adj., Grievous; hard task; severe; stern; terrible; woeful)
- بِمَا — Bay-maa — In all that (= Combination of two words. بِ means ‘with / in’ مَاۤ and means ‘all that, whatever, whatsoever or whenever.’ The combination بِمَا (bay-maa) means ‘because of; due to; for the reason that; in all that; on account of; owing to, with all that. See 002:092 wherein it is used thrice)
- كَانُوۡا — Kaa-noo — Had been (= v., past., pl., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; used to; went on; were doing. Words has or had always been indicate endless continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future)
- يَكۡذِبُوۡنَ — Yauk-zay-boon — They lying (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Belying. Denying. Falsifying. Lying. Misstating. Rejecting. Also being hypocritical)
