The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:005                                                ۙ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

                Kul-laa-sa-yau-la-moo-na

               The fact is that soon they will know the truth

• كَلَّا — Kul-laa — The fact is * (= Absolutely not; fact is; in effect; indeed; instead; like it was never; nay; the reality is)
• سَ — Sa — Soon (= 1. In near term; in the near future; in a short while; 2. Briskly; quickly; swiftly)
• يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ — Yau-la-moona — Know (= v., pl., Become aware; get information and knowledge; know the consequence of their calumny and enormity; deliberately; knowingly; with full recognition)

* Note 078:005. The word كَلَّا appears to be the combination of two words. كَ means ‘like or as if.’ لَّا means No, not, never. Jointly it means ‘Absolutely not, by no means, indeed, in effect; instead; it cannot be, like it was never, nay, the fact is; the reality is, this should not have been so)

The Holy Qor-aan                                         078:006                                              ۙ‏  ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ

                Thoom-ma-kul-laa-sa-yau-la-moo-na

                Again, the fact is that soon they will know the truth

• ثُمَّ — Thoom-ma — Then (= After that; further more; subsequently; thereafter)
• كَلَّا — Kul-laa — The fact is (= Absolutely not; fact is; in effect; indeed; instead; like it was never; nay; the reality is. See Note 078:005)
• سَ — Sa — Soon (= 1. In near term; in the near future; in a short while. 2. Briskly; quickly; swiftly)

The Holy Qor-aan                                         078:007                                      اَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ الۡاَرۡضَ مِهٰدًا ۙ‏

               Aa-lum-nuj-aa-il-ur-dza-may-haa-dun

               Don’t We make the earth as a bed

• اَ — Aa — Do (= Question mark like Are, Can, Have, Shell or Will?)
• لَمۡ — Lum — Not (= Never; no, not at all)
• نَجۡعَلِ — Nuj-aa-lil — We Make (= v., Appoint; assign; bring into being; create; design; fashion; form; set up)
• الۡاَرۡضَ — Ur-dza — Earth (=1. Area; country; earth; ground; land; soil; territory
  2. Life on earth. 3. Nation; people or society in general)
• مِهٰدًا — May-haa-dun — Bed * (= Canopy; cot; cradle; crib; expanse; spread)

* Note 078:007. The Almighty God’s creation of earth as a bed, canopy, cot, cradle, crib, expanse or spread and then stabilizing it fixed with the mountains as the bulwarks, pegs, pillars or stakes has been repeated several times in different contexts including in the verses 002:023, 013:004, 015:020 and 016:016 besides 078:007/008.

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:008                                               وَّالۡجِبَالَ اَوۡتَادًا

               Wul-jay-baa-la-auo-taa-dun

               And the mountains as pegs

• الۡجِبَا لَ — Jay-baa-la — Mountains (= pl., Hills; high plateaus; peaks)

The Holy Qor-aan                                         078:009                                              وَّخَلَقۡنٰكُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًا

                Wa-kha-luq-naa-koom-uz-waa-jun

                And We created you as couples

• خَلَقۡ — Kha-luq — Created (= Brought into being; created in due proportion; designed from a scratch out of nothing; fashioned; formed; gave forms and faces; produced; shaped)
• نَآ — Naa — We (= pro., pl., 1st person. Us. Used with God’s name it reflects the authoritative way a higher-up talks to a subordinate)
• کُمۡ — Koom — You (= pro., pl., m., 2nd person. You men. Generally this way the Holy Qor-aan addresses both men and women)
• اَزۡوَاجًا — Uz-waa-jun — As couples (= 1. Husband and wife couples; male and female pairs; mates; spouses. 2. Associates; close relations)

* Note 078:009. The word زۡوجٌ is single. The plural is اَزۡوَاجً. It can mean a husband or a wife. The verb is generally used for marriage, i.e., initiating a man and a woman to establish matrimonial ties and commence conjugal relationship for procreation of life. But it is extended to the “Pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad” [DK/DA]

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:010                                       ○ ‏وَّجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتًا

                Wa-ja-ul-naa-nao-ma-koom-so-baa-taa

                And We made your sleep as the rest

• وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See ‏ ‏ وَّ above)
• جَعَلۡ — Ja-ul — Made (= v., Appointed; assigned; brought into being; created; designed; fashioned; formed; ordained; set up)

• نَوۡمَ — Nao-ma — Sleep (= A catnap, doze, nap, slumber or snooze for an extended period of time in hours)

• سُبَا تًا — So-baa-tun — As the rest (= A means, period, source, thing, time or way to rest; shut down all systems of physical activity to recoup, repose and recover; regenerate; recharge the batteries)

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:011                                             ‏ وَّجَعَلۡنَا الَّيۡلَ لِبَاسًا

               Wa-ja-ul-nul-lai-la-lay-baa-sun

                And we made the night as a cover

                Wa-ja-ul-nun-na-haa-ra-ma-aa-shaa

                And We made the day as the time to work

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:013                                    وَّبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعًا شِدَادًا ۙ‏

                Wa-ba-nai-naa-fao-qa-koom-sub-un-shay-daa-dun

                And we built above you seven strong layers of skies

• بَنَي — Ba-nai — Built (= Created; designed; developed)

• سَبۡعًا — Sub-un — Seven (= Numerical number which is a total of 6 + 1)
• شِدَادًا — Shay-daa-dun — Strong skies * (= 1. Bodies; Heavens. 2. Barriers; perimeters; strong outer limits)

Note 078:013. The word شِدَادًا has been extrapolated multifariously such as “mighty heavens”, “firmaments”, “strong heavens”, “strong heavenly bodies of the solar system”, “major planets of the solar system of which sun is the center, or seven stages of spiritual development of man mentioned in Surah Al-Mu’minun”, “Ways” (023:018) by adding ‘Paradise’ as the 7th the other six are the spiritual stages of the growth of Believers as stated in verses (023:002 to 010), and the “major planets of the solar system”.

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:014                                        وَّ جَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجًا وَّهَّاجًا ۙ‏

                Wa-ja-ul-naa-say-raa-jun-wa-haa-jun

                And We made the dazzling sun

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:015                          وَّاَنۡزَلۡنَا مِنَ الۡمُعۡصِرٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًاۙۙ

                Wa-un-zul-naa-may-nul-moe-say-raa-tay-maa-un-thuj-jaa-jaa

                And we sent down from the dripping clouds water pouring down profusely

• الۡمُعۡصِرٰت — Moe-se-raa-tay — Clouds (= Clouds or vaporized water in the condensation process that turns into drops of rain water forming one drop at a time, and yet the cloudbursts drops them collectively in the form of huge downpours of rain; rainy clouds that shower abundant supply of water)
• مَآءً — Maa-un — Water (= H2O; rain water)
• ثَجَّاجًا — Thuj-jaa-jun — Pouring down (= Abundant. Coming down abundantly, plenteously and profusely. Torrential rain)

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:016 لِّـنُخۡرِجَ بِهٖ حَبًّا وَّنَبَاتًا ۙ                                       ‏

                Lay-nookh-ray-ja-bay-he-hub-bun-wa-na-baa-taa

                So that We grow with it a grain and vegetation

• لِّ — Lay — So that (= For the object, purpose or reason of; in order to)
• نُخۡرِجَ — Nookh-ray-ja — We grow (= Bring forth; produce; sprout)
• بِ — Bay — With (= This word in Arabic literally means ‘with’)
• هٖ — He — It (= s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid ‘rain water’)
• حَبًّا — Hub-bun — A grain (= n., s., The seed from which sprouts the plant for crops     like barley, corn or kernel, lentils, rice, wheat, etc.)
• وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See ‏ ‏ وَّ above)
• نَبَاتًا — Na-baa-tun — Vegetation (= n., 1. Grasses; greenery; growth; pastures. 2. Herbs; vegetables; varied plants. 3. Multiplication of virtues)

The Holy Qor-aan                                          078:017                                                وَّجَنّٰتٍ اَلۡفَافًا

Wa-jun-naa-tin-ul-faa-aa

                And gardens with thick foliage

• وَّ — Wa — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See ‏ ‏ وَّ above)
• جَنّٰتٍ — Jun-naa-tim — Gardens (= pl., Big groves; gardens; orchards. The ultimate everlasting Garden. The Heavens)
• اَلۡفَافًا — Ul-faa-faa — Thick foliage (= Growth that is dense, luxuriant, luxurious, thick and tremendous, grows all over, and wraps around everything that surrounds it)
