The Holy Qor-aan 004:066
فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ حَتّٰى يُحَكِّمُوۡكَ فِيۡمَا شَجَرَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوۡا فِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيۡتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوۡا تَسۡلِيۡمًا
Fa laa wa rub-bay ka laa-yoe-may-no-na Haut-taa yo-hauk-kay-moo ka fee maa sha-ja-ra bai-na hoom Thoom-ma laa ya-jay-do fee-un-fo-say him ha-ra-jaun Mim-maa- qa-dzai-ta wa yo-saul-lay-moo taus-lee-maa
But no! Swearing by your God, they won’t believe Until they seek your decision in what issue grew between them Then they do not find in their hearts any reservation About what you have decided, and they submit submissively

- رَبِّ — Rub-bay — God (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Master; Lord Provident. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
- كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You single male. The addressee of this divine message is initially the Holy Prophet s.a.w and secondarily every Moslem, in fact every human being. See the Note under 002:005)
- لَا — Laa — Do not (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor. See لَا above)
- يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ — Yoe-may-noo-na — They believe (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Believes in the Holy Qor-aan; became Moslem; enters Iss-laam. See Commentary Believe and Disbelieve. A/t/a, ‘will not believe’ and ‘truly believe.’ However, ‘have No (real) Faith,’ ‘are no believers at all’ and ‘not be true believers’ are nouns and no translations of verb in the present that the Holy Qor-aan has used) )
- حَتّٰى — Haut-ta — Until (= By the end of the period or term; till the time)
- يُحَكِّمُو — Yo-huk-kay-moo — Seek decision (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. They may, make, refer, seek or set you up as the judge to decide their controversies. A/t/a, ‘make thee judge,’ ‘they refer all their disputes (that arise between them) to you for judgment,’ ‘they accept you as the judge’ and ‘seek your arbitration’)
- كَ — Ka — Your (= pro., s., m., 2nd person. You. Your. See كَ above)
- فِىۡ — Fee — In (= Inside a duration, event, place, period, person, etc. Also, about; concerning, etc. See Note at 002:028)
- مَاۤ — Maa — All that (= What; whatever; whatsoever)
- شَجَرَ — Sha-ja-ra — Grew (= v., past., s., 3rd person. Arose as a controversy; became an issue; developed as a problem; grew into a dispute. A/t/a, ‘In all disputes,’ ‘in dispute,’ ‘in all that is in dispute,’ ‘in their disputes’ and ‘in the disputes’ translated as a noun and ‘(that arise)’ as a verb in the present tense are NOT what the Holy Qor-aan has stated as a verb and in the past tense)
- بَيۡنَ — Bai-na — Between (= Ahead, facing or in front of; Among; betwixt)
- هُمۡ –Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3 rd person. They; them; theirs)
- ثُمَّ — Thoom-ma — Then (= After that; further more; subsequently; thereafter)
- لَا — Laa — Not (= Naught; neither; never; none; nor. See لَا above)
- يَجِدُوۡا — Ya-jay-doo — Find (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Come upon; discover; notice; perceive; realize; see. A/t/a, ‘find’ and ‘doubt’)

As an adjective reflecting action of dislike, this verse describes with this word the bent of mind of the contesting litigants who sought a decision by the Holy Prophet, s.a.w. So, the following are most appropriate of the meanings of this word in that context: Abhorrence. Aversion. Abomination. Detestation. Devaluation. Disinclination. Dislike. Hate. Hatred. Loathing. - مِمَّا — Mim-maa — About whar (= Combination of two words. The first word مِنۡ (min) means ‘among, from or out of the class, category, kind count or several persons or things.’ The second word مَاۤ (maa) means ‘all that, what, whatever, any time, when, whenever.’ The combination of both words means ‘for what; out of what; concerning, regarding, relative to; thereby. A/t/a, ‘concerning that which’)
- قَضَيۡتَ — Qa-zai-ta — You decided (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Adjudicated; adjudged; chose; found. A/t/a, ‘thou decidest’ and ‘as to that which thou decidest’ are translations as a verb in the present tense, and ‘Thy decisions,’ ‘your judgment,’ ‘your verdicts’ and ‘your decision’ are translations as a noun, but they all are contrary to how the Holy Qor-aan has presented the fact in the form of a verb in the past tense)

- تَسۡلِيۡمًا — Tus-lee-ma — Submissively (= adv., Abjectly; acquiescently, compliantly; genuinely; meekly; peacefully; really; sincerely; totally. A/t/a, ‘with the fullest conviction,’ ‘full submission,’ ‘entire submission’ and ‘entirely’)

So, the following are most appropriate of the meanings of this word in that context: Being absent-minded, adrift, aimless, baffled, bewildered, closed minded, confused, constricted, disoriented, fuddled, flummoxed, gone out of mind, lost, misled, misplaced, oppressed, staggered, stunned, stupefied or uncertainty with some objection. - As a noun reflecting action due to hesitancy. Verse 007:003 has a command: “Have no reservation in your heart to warn with it. And it’s a reminder for the Believers.” The Holy Prophet, s.a.w., had no reason to stop him from practicing, preaching or professing this command. So, the following are most appropriate of the meanings of this word in that context: Dawdling. Delaying. Dithering. Dillydallying. Faltering. Hesitating. Indecision. Obstruction. Pause. Qualm.
