The Holy Qor-aan 007:077
قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡۤا اِنَّا بِالَّذِىۡۤ اٰمَنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوۡنَ
Qaa-la ul-la-ze-na us-tuk-ba-roo in-na
Bay il-la-ze aa-maun-toom bay he kaa-fay-roo-n
Those who acted arrogantly said, “Surely we
Are disbelievers in that you have believed.”
- قَا لَ — Qaa-la … (ul) — Said (= v., past, s., m., 3rd person. Announced; broadcast; called; conveyed; declared; specified; told. See 002:031. A/t/a, ‘said (scornfully)’
- ٱلَّذِينَ — Aul-la-ze-na — Those who (= pl., m, 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, or phenomenon or things in masculine gender)
- اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا — Aus-tauk-ba-roo — Acted arrogantly (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Acted arrogantly. Behaved boastfully. Bragged haughtily. Deemed himself too big and proud. Pride-stricken. Puffed with pride. Scorned. Smug or smitten with complex. Took pride. Egotist and vanity rich. A/t/a, ‘The arrogant party,’ ‘were arrogant,’ ‘were haughty,’ ’the haughty,’ ‘were scornful’ and ‘considered themselves great and strong’)
- اِنَّا — In-naa — Surely we (= This combines two words. The first word اِنۡ (in) means absolutely, certainly, positively, surely or verily; the second word نَآ (naa) means we, us or our; and together the word اِنَّا (in-naa) combines both meanings. A/t/a, ‘Surely we,’ ‘For our part,’ ‘verily we,’ ‘we definitely,’ ‘Lo!,’ ‘we certainly’ and ‘verily’)

- اٰمَنۡتُمۡ — Aa-maun-toom — You Believed (= v., past., pl., 2nd person., Believed in the Holy Qor-aan, became Moslems and entered in the Faith of Iss-laam. A/t/a, ‘ye believe’ and ‘you believe,’ but such statement in the present tense is no translation of the past tense in the Holy Qor-aan text)
- بِ — Bay — With (= Literally the word بِ means with)
- هٖ — He — It (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid Faith. A/t/a, ‘which’)
- كٰفِرُوۡنَۘ — Kaa-fay-roo-n — Disbelievers (= n., pl. Those who denied, disbelieved, disclaimed, failed to acknowledge, lacked Faith, rejected Iss-laam and God Almighty, or were thankless and ungrateful. See Commentary Believe and Disbelieve. A/t/a, ‘disbelievers.’ But verbs in ‘reject,’ ‘do disbelieve,’ ‘disbelieve’ and ‘deny’ have not translated the noun used in the Holy Qor-aan text)
