The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                 004:076

وَمَا لَـكُمۡ لَا تُقَاتِلُوۡنَ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَالۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِيۡنَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَآءِ وَالۡوِلۡدَانِ الَّذِيۡنَ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ رَبَّنَاۤ اَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡ هٰذِهِ الۡـقَرۡيَةِ الظَّالِمِ اَهۡلُهَا‌ ۚ  وَاجۡعَلْ لَّـنَا مِنۡ لَّدُنۡكَ وَلِيًّا ۙۚ وَّاجۡعَلْ لَّـنَا مِنۡ لَّدُنۡكَ نَصِيۡرًا  ؕ‏  

Wa  maa  la  koom
Laa  to-qaa-tay-loo-na  fee-sa-bee-lay  il-aa-hay
Wa  ul-moos-taudz-aa-fe-na  may-na  ur-ray-jaa-lay
Wa  un-nay-saa-aiy  wa  ul-wil-daa-nay  il-la-ze-na  ya-qoo-loo-na
Raub-ba  naa  aukh-rij  naa  min
Haa-zay-hay  il-qaur-ya-tay  iz-zaa-lay-may  ah-lo  haa
Wa  uj-aul  naa  min  la  doon  ka  wa-lee-yaun
Wa  uj-aul-la  naa  min  la-doon  ka  na-see-raa

And what is with you (= reason you have)
That you don’t fight in the cause of Allah
And the weak seeking help from among men                                                                And women and children who say,                                                                                    “God of us all! please get us out of                                                                                          This town whose residents are oppressors,                                                                    And set up for us a Friend coming surely from You Alone.
And appoint for us a Helper coming surely from Only You.”

• مَا — Maa — What (= What excuse, justification, matter, reason or wrong is there for you not to fight. A/t/a, ‘why should ye,’ ‘what reason,’ ‘what is the matter,’ ‘why should,’ ‘what is wrong,’ ‘what (excuse),’ ‘How should ye not’ and ‘how should you not’)
• لّ — La — With (= For. A/t/a, ‘have you,’ ‘you have (to offer)’ and ‘keeps … from’)
• کُمۡ — Koom — You all (= Pro. You. Generally used for both men and women)
• لَا — Laa — Don’t (= Absolute denial; never; not at all; total negation)
• تُقَـٰتِلُونَ — To-qaa-tay-loo-na — You fight (= v., pres., m., 2^nd person. Act in self-defense; attack; fight back; oppose; push; resist; retaliate; strive; struggle. Also, battle; combat; war. See Commentary Mullah’s Jihad is no road to Peace and verse 002:073)
• فِىۡ  — Fee — In (= In; concerning; regarding; in reference; relative to. Also, amidst, during or inside a time, place or event)
• سَبِيۡلِ — Sa-bee-lay … (il) — Cause (= n., s., Action; alternative; cause, course; escape; line;  means; measure; method; path; pretext; remedy; road; way. See Note 004:089  & Phrase fee-sa-be-lil-laa-hay. A/t/a, ‘Cause’ and ‘way’)
• اللّٰهِ‌ — Il-laa-hay … (il) — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
• وَ — Wa … (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above. A/t/a, ‘and for the rescue of” and ‘for (the rescue of)’
• ٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ — Moos-taudz-aa-fee-na — Weak seeking help (= n., Broken down; demoralized; exploited; feeble; helpless; maltreated; oppressed. Persecuted asking for, aspiring, insinuating, needing, requesting, seeking or wanting help in their familial, fiscal or social affairs. A/t/a, ‘who, being  weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed),’ ‘for weak, ill-treated and oppressed,’ ‘who, being weak .. have been oppressed’ and ‘down-trodden’)
• مِنَ — May-na … (ur) — From (= Among or from the class, category or count of; out of)
• ٱلرِّجَالِ — Ray-jaa-lay — Men (= n., pl., Male among the human beings. A/t/a ‘old men’ and ‘helpless men’)
• وَ — Wa  …  (un) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• ٱلنِّسَآءِ — Nay-saa-aiy — Women (= n., Female among the human beings)
• وَ — Wa …  (ul) — And (= Conj., links words, phrases or clauses. See وَ  above)
• ٱلۡوِلۡدَٲنِ — Wil-daa-nay … (il) — Children (= n., pl,, Kids of human beings. Minors)
• ٱلَّذِينَ — Aul-la-ze-na — Those who (= Reference is to ‘all those men, masculine gender’)
• يَقُولُونَ — Ya-qoo-loo-na — Say (= v., pres., pl., 3^rd person. Ask; beg; beseech; cry for help; implore; invoke; pray; request; seek verbally; ‘supplicate.’  A/t/a, ‘crying.’ But ‘whose cry is’ is a translation into a noun of what the Holy Qor-aan has stated in a verb)
• رَبّ — Rub-ba — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills needs of all creatures; Cherisher; Creator; Guardian; Lord Provident; Master; The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. The Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist)
• نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl., m & f., Our; us)
• أَخۡرِجۡ — Aukh-rij — Get us out (= v., pres., s., 2^nd person. Bring out; bring … forth; deliver; develop and make grow; drive out; exit; get us out; lead out; pull out; rescue; save; take out)
• نَآ — Naa — Us (= pro., pl., m & f., Our; us)
• مِنۡۢ — Min — From among (= From the class, category or count of; out of)
• هَـٰذِهِ — Haa-zay-hay … (il) — This (= Right this one)
• ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ — Qaur-ya-tay … (iz) — Town (= n., City; habitat; hamlet; territory; township; village)
• ٱلظَّالِمِ — Zaa-lay-may — Oppressors (= adj., Cruel; tyrants; unfair; unjust; wrongdoers;  wrongdoing folks. See more meanings at 003:183)
• أَهۡلُ — Ah-lo — Residents (= n., pl., Citizens; dwellers; families; inhabitants; masters; occupants; occupiers; owners; people; populace; population; residents)

• اجۡعَلْ — Auj-aul — Set up (= v., pres., s., 2^nd person. Appoint; depute; give; grant; lay down; lay upon; make; promise; raise; send; send forth; setup; turn; vouchsafe)
