The Holy Qor-aan 007:064
اَوَعَجِبۡتُمۡ اَنۡ جَآءَكُمۡ ذِكۡرٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ عَلٰى رَجُلٍ مِّنۡكُمۡ لِيُنۡذِرَكُمۡ وَلِتَـتَّقُوۡا وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُوۡنَ
Aa wa aa-jib-toom aun jaa-aa-koom zik-roon
Min raub-bay koom aa-laa ra-jo-lin min koom
Lay yoon-za-ra koom wa lay taut-ta-qoo
Wa la-aul-la koom toor-ha-moon
And are you surprised that a Reminder came to you
From your God upon a man from among you
So that he warns you and you become pious
And you may be shown mercy.

The past tense verb for single 3rd person is converted into that of plural 2nd person as explained in Note 001:007. - ذِكۡرٌ — Zik-roon … (m) — Reminder (= n., Admonition; help to recall and remember things a person may have forgotten. memory; mention; message; reflection; remembrance; talk; thinking; warning. - رَّبّ — Raub-bay — GOD / LORD (= The Almighty Allah who fills all needs of all creatures. Cherisher. Creator. Guardian. Lord Provident. Master. The Only One Who provides all that sustains life. Ultimate Provider of air, water, food and whatever we and all other creatures need to live and subsist. See 001:002)
