The Holy Qor-aan 007:083
وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ قَالُـوۡۤا اَخۡرِجُوۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ قَرۡيَتِكُمۡ ۚ اِنَّهُمۡ اُنَاسٌ يَّتَطَهَّرُوۡنَ
Wa maa kaa-na ja-waa-ba qao-may he il-laa aun qaa-loo
Aukh-ra-joo hoom min quar-ya-tay koom
In-na hoom o-naa-soon
Ya-ta-yauh-ha-roo-na
And no answer was of his people except that they said,
“Expel these people from your town.
They surely are people thinking that way
They cleanse themselves.”

- قَوۡمِ — Qao-may — People (= n., s., Addressees; attendees; fellows; followers; folks; nation; party; people; tribe)
- هٖۤ — He — His (= pro., s., m., 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid person)
- اِلَّاۤ — Il-laa — Except (= Apart from; besides; excluding; nothing but; save; unless. A/t/a, ‘other than,’ ‘only’ and ‘but’)
- اَنۡ — Aun — That (= So that)
- قَا لُوۡا — Qaa-loo — They said (= v., past, pl., m., 3rdperson: All those men announced, called, declared or told. See Note 002:031. A/t/a, ‘they said’ and ‘They said (one to another)’
- اَخۡرِجُوۡ — Aukh-ray-joo — You expel (= v., pres., pl., 2nd person. Banish; drive out; exile; force or get them out. A/t/a, ‘expel,’ ‘turn … out,’ ‘drive … out’ and ‘banish’)

- يَّتَطَهَّرُوۡنَ — Ya-ta-tauh-roo-na — They cleanse themselves (= v., pres., pl., 3rd person. Acting clean, holy and pious. Striving for purification. Attempting to be, remain or stay clean, physically and spiritually. Trying as if it can anoint, purify or sanctify them and get rid of their dirty ideas or body impurities. A/t/a, ‘They like to be accounted pure.’ But the nouns as in ‘who want to be clean and pure,’ ‘who aspire to purity,’ ‘who would keep pure,’ ‘who take pride in their purity,’ ‘who show off to be pure,’ ’who keep themselves clean,’ ‘forsooth, who keep pure,’ ‘who want to be pure from sins’ and ‘who would keep chaste’ is no translation of the verb in the Holy Qor-aan text)
