The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                                026:180

فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ

            Fut-ta-qool-laa-ha-wa-atee-oon.

            So do your duty to Allah and follow me.

وَمَا لَـكُمۡ لَا تُقَاتِلُوۡنَ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَالۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِيۡنَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَآءِ وَالۡوِلۡدَانِ الَّذِيۡنَ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ رَبَّنَاۤ اَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡ هٰذِهِ الۡـقَرۡيَةِ الظَّالِمِ اَهۡلُهَا‌ ۚ وَاجۡعَلْ لَّـنَا مِنۡ لَّدُنۡكَ وَلِيًّا ۙۚ وَّاجۡعَلْ لَّـنَا مِنۡ لَّدُنۡكَ نَصِيۡرًا ؕ‏

Wa-maa-la-koom-laa-to-qua-te-loo-na-fee-sa-bee-lil-aa-he-wul-moos-tudz-e-fee-na-me-nur-re-jaa-lay-wun-ne-saa-e-wul-wil-daa-nil-la-zee-na-ya-quoo-loo-na–Rub-ba-naa-ukh-rij-naa-min-haa-ze-hil-qur-ya-tiz-zaa-le-may-ah-lo-haa-wuj-ul-naa-min-la-doon-ka-na-wa-ley-yun–wuj-ul-naa-min-la-doon-ka-na-see-raa

And what reason you have not to fight in the cause of Allah and the week  from among the men, women and children who seek help and pray, “God of us all! please take us out of this town of which the residents are oppressors. And set up for us a sincere friend from only You.  And set up for us a helper from only You ” (= Please God send us a real friend and a true helper from your own self.)

  • وَ Wa                            And                 (= Additionally; also; although; but; in addition to; while; yet)
  • مَاۤ          Maa                What reason  (= Excuse or justification is there not to fight)
  • لّ          La                    With                (= For)

  • سَبِيۡلِ      Sa-beel           Cause              (= Line; path; road; way; for the sake of)

  • وَW…(ul)           And                  (= Additionally; also; although; but; in addition to; while; yet)
  • ٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ Mos-tudz-e-fee-na  Week seeking help (= Feeble, helpless, maltreated, oppressed, persecuted or week in their familial, physical and fiscal affairs and asking for, aspiring, begging, insinuating, needing or wanting help)
  • مِنَ         Me-n…(ur)      From              (= From the class, category or count of; out of)
  • ٱلرِّجَالِ    Re-jaa-lay        Men               (= Male among the human beings)

اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ الَّذِيۡنَ اشۡتَرَوُا الضَّلٰلَةَ بِالۡهُدٰى  فَمَا رَبِحَتۡ تِّجَارَتُهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُوۡا مُهۡتَدِيۡنَ○‏

 

Olaa-aiy-ka  ul-la-ze-na  ush-ta-ra-wo
Odz-dza-laa-la-ta  bay  il-ho-daa
 Fa  maa  ra-bay-haut  tay-jaa-ra-to  hoom
Wa  maa  kaa-noo  moh-ta-dee-n

 

All those who bought
The Wrong with the Right
Consequently their trade did not benefit them.
And they had not been those rightly guided.

 

  • اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ — O-laa-aiy-ka … (ul — All those (= Acts, facts, items, persons or things)
  • ٱلَّذِينَ — Aul-la-ze-n … (ush) — Those who 3rd person. Refers to those articles, persons, phenomenon or things)
  • اشۡتَرَوُا — Aush-ta-ra-wo … (dz)  — Bought (= v., past., pl., 3rd person. Bartered. Bough. Exchanged. Paid price. Purchased. Trafficked)
  • الضَّلٰلَةَ — Audza-laa-la-ta — The wrong (= n., Bad decision. Blunder. Deliberate neglect of duty. Error. Faulty way. Improper position. Inaccuracy. Lost line. Miscalculation. Mistake. Poor path. Strayed situation. See Note 002:017 below)
  • بِ — Bay … (il) — With (= The best translation of the word  بِ  is ‘with’)
  • الۡهُدٰى — Ho-daa — The right (= n., The action, direction, instruction, means, measure,  method, pointer or set up showing the best beacon,  correct course, enlightened entry,  linear lines, proper path, right road, wise ways or the knowledge about what is best. The criteria judging things appropriately. The Guidance. The way of life that the Creator chose for all He created. See Commentary Islam – 101)
  • فَ — Fa — Consequently (= After all this; as a result; at the end; but; consequently; hence; in conclusion; so; then; thereafter; therefore; thus; yet. See 002:027)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — Not (= Never; no; nor; not; not all; total negation. See Note 004:067)
  • رَبِحَتۡ — Ra-bay-haut — Benefited (= v., past., s., f., 3rd person. Bloomed. Blossomed.  Gained. Profited. Prospered)
  • تِّجَارَتُ — Tay-jaa-ra-to — Trade (= n., Any activity of buying and selling. Bargain. Barter. Business. Commerce. Contract. Financial transaction. Merchandising. Purchase. Trade) 
  • هُمۡ — Hoom — Their (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. Theirs. Them. They. Refers to the aforesaid foolish persons and hypocrites) 
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; moreover; though; when; while; whereupon; yet)
  • مَاۤ — Maa — Not (= Never; no). See  مَاۤ  above)
  • كَانُوۡا — Kaa-noo — Had been (= v., past., pl., m., 3rd person., Continued doing; used to;  went on; were doing. Words has or had always been indicate endless continuity from the past to the present and leading into the future. See 002:011) 
  • مُهۡتَدِيۡنَ — Moh-ta-dee-n –Rightly guided (= n., pl., Those who have been … directed or guided  to or shown the good, proper or right course, line, path, road or way, led on proper lines, put on proper path, set on correct course. The rightly guided. The guided ones)      

 

** Note 002:017: Words derived from the root  ض ل  ل  mean the following. Amiss. Askew. Aslant. Aslope. Awry. Bad decision. Being or getting lost. Blunder. Cockeyed view. Confusion. Crookedness. Deliberate neglect of duty. Error. Failure. Falling, going or straying dastardly in despicable directions. Faulty way. Impropriety. Improper position. Inaccuracy. Indulging in underhanded practices. Leading astray. Loss. Lost line. Miscalculation. Misguidance. Misleading. Mistake. Muddled. Oblique. Poor path. Something skewwhiff. Strayed situation. Straying. Turning away from linear lines and right road. Twisted. Wandering ways waywardly. Wrong. All derivates include misfeasance, malfeasance and nonfeasance.

  • Misfeasance is someone in authority doing a legal act illegally, even unintentionally.
  • Misfeasance, nonfeasance and malfeasance are type of failures to discharge public obligations that exist under common law or an enacted statute.

The Holy Qor-aan                                                                                                       002:016

 

اَللّٰهُ يَسۡتَهۡزِئُ بِهِمۡ وَيَمُدُّهُمۡ فِىۡ طُغۡيَانِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُوۡنَ○‏

 

Aul-laa-ho  yaus-tauh-zay-o  bay  him  wa  ya-mood-do  hoom
Fee  toogh-yaa-nay  him  yau-ma-hoo-n 

 

Allah mocks at them and increases them
In their contumacy, they wandering blindly.

 

  • اللّٰهُ — Aul-laa-ho — Allah (= The Almighty God; The only One worthy of worship)
  • يَسۡتَهۡزِئُ — Yus-tauh-zay-o — Mocks (= v., pes., s., 3rd person. Derides; jests; jokes; kids;  laughs; makes others fool; repays their joking and kidding by punishing them; ridicules; throws back)
  • بِ — Bay — At (= Normal translation of the word بِ is with but here the meanings are conveyed better with ‘at’)
  • هِمۡ — Him — Them (= pro., pl., m., in 3rd person. Refers to the aforesaid foolish persons and hypocrites)
  • وَ — Wa — And (= Conj., Links words, phrases or clauses; additionally; but; also; moreover; though; when; while; whereupon; yet)
  • يَمُدُّ — Ya-mood-do –Increases (= v., pres., s., 3rd person. Adds. Expands. Extends. Increases. Multiplies. Opens. Spreads. Stretches. Widens. A/t/a, ‘Is now,’ ‘Extend,’ or ‘soon will’ give a long rope to increase, lengthen, prolong, spread, stretch or widen their entrenchment in sin and evil ways)
  • هُمۡ — Hoom — Them (= pro., pl., m., 3rd person. They; theirs. See  هِمۡ  above)
